You still require strategy to play and win.
Will it be enough for her just to be on the team or will she require a minimum number of minutes to help business and promote the league. Should she start? They’ll get more eyeballs right?

She has to work on her turnovers and field goal percentage. She also struggles at guarding athletic players so she often results in fouling. Bad body language whenever she is not hitting shots. Not a productive player playing off ball. Has to have the ball in order to make a huge impact. With all that being said, people want to act as if she is a top talent in wnba. Fun to watch and potential to enhance wnba, but not quite there yet.

Why not mention the actual reason she wasn't chosen for the Olympic team ? - It's because she was unable to make a single mini-camp, or national team practice. Not one. No fault of Clark's, she had prior commitments (NCAAs), But it wouldn't be fair to bump another athlete who made the camps, put in the work, established a rapport with the other team members, and logged some time with the international game.
Yes, Clark's being treated horribly in the WNBA, primarily by her black colleagues, but that's a different thing than being chosen for the Olympic team.

Although you may find it easier disingenuously to argue against words, and thoughts I've not expressed, try simply taking what I wrote as what I have expressed.
Players that have previously played on the National Team are not the same as those who have never made a single camp, game, or practice.
Just FYI, the coach doesn't pick the players for the USA National Team. That is done by the US National Team Selection Committee, which is chaired by Jennifer Rizzotti, who's already explained that the Committee has generally opted for players with more International experience, including 7 of the 12 who played together, taking the gold in Tokyo. Style of play / coaching was also considered, and there were veterans from the Tokyo team that were left off the roster as well. Perhaps if Clark was able to attend the camps, she could have displayed her case, but she didn't.
The Committee has their set of criteria, and it doesn't involve a conspiracy against Clark. Don't conflate butthurt feelings of jealousy of some black WNBA players with the US National Selection Committee.

It’s very simple. The case for Clark on the USA Team is a business case, not a skill, merit or dues paid case. The business case is that it would be better for team USA to win a silver medal with a less skilled and senior team than it is to win another gold with the absolute best team. Add Clark and Reese to the team and you sell out on jerseys and grow the game. This is the age old argument between the purists who insist on integrity in the sport and the business managers focused on the financial viability of the games.

Here are several things which are rarely mentioned as to why the wnba fan base increased due to Caitlin clark. About 2/3 of nba fans are male and men make up more than 50 percent of wnba fans. Most men who are sports fans are straight and many prefer more attractive and feminine women. About 30 percent of the wnba identifies as LGBTQ....many have tattoos, unflattering hair styles, dress and groom themselves in masculine ways and/or wear baggy and unattractive clothes; many come across as having a chip on their shoulder against men and "traditional American values". Catlin doesn't check any of these boxes. Her more traditional and male preferred traits and also the fact thats she's a down to earth white girl from the Midwest are many reasons why she is popular. She speaks well, doesn't blame others for her losses, doesn't race bait and she has a well rounded and fundamentally sound basketball game. She is easy to like compared to many players in the wnba and she is a good role model for fathers with daughters.

TBCH, I was really surprised to have learned a few things just recently from all the WNBA media attn.
First, I had no idea the league has been in the red in every season since its debut.
Second I had no idea that a majority of WNBA players were lesbian.
The third and most interesting(peculiar) to me out of all that I've had a chance to witness so far, is that I never expected lesbians to display such strong "straight" women personalities/characteristics. To mention a few, they seem very "spotlight on ME" seeking.
    Undeniably "territorial" and recognition seeking.
They initially perceive a threat to them rather than beneficial ally of any "new girl".
😂 Honestly its was surprising to witness and amusing at the same time.
It reminded me of a couple funny old, I suppose what would now be called a "stereotypes".
Girls tend to choose a BFF who they perceive to be less attractive than themselves(we all know the reason right😊)
Most girls, if were tasked to choose a sincere lifelong bff, they tend to choose a boy.
There are obvious reason why the phrase "hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" has endured for centuries 😉

Americans have no idea whats happening outside their country, Clark already got the attention of the world. Every live stream of their game, there are people from London, Australia, Ireland, NZ, Korea, Indonesia, Philippines, Japan, Brazil, Nigeria. I can go on and on about who are watching despite time difference. The fact is she has a big fan base in and outside America now. Thats what happen to Jordan after Olympics, NBA, Nike, Gatorade Jordan shirts, underwear etc reach the world market. Clark is just one player to add, better than the injured player or the one known to the world who was jailed due to drugs. Let her play with Diana, Breanna, Aja, it will be historical and gain more attention and love from the fans. He speak like Clark dont know how to play, if it was Reese they will not oppose cause shes black. Lesson here, do not let Marc handle your business.😂

It's impossible to quantify how insecure, uninformed, and uneducated the audience that Jason Whitlock fosters is, but I'm willing to bet it's one of the most intellectually, and morally bankrupt group of non-critical thinkers in any public setting, on just about any topic.

The answer is right in front of your face what do you mean it shouldn't be because of one woman? C clark is the one laying the golden eggs!

She is good and can be better if they have welcomed her but the harassment and hate is for real .

The solution is simple; invite both Angel Reese and Caitlin Clark to the Olympic team. Cut Griner and Taurassi, make the tough choice. Or, expand the Team USA Women's roster to 15. Add Reese, Clark, and Brink.

The US Olympic team's racial makeup follows the WNBA's: 70% black, 30% white. Out of 12 spots, 8 players are black and 4 are white (70% of 12 is 8.4, 30% of 12 is 3.6). That doesn't support the notion that leaving Clark off the team was racially motivated. And I don't think it's a culture war / sexual identity thing, either. I think the main reason she was left off (when Taurasi, Plum and others were selected for the team as ROOKIES) is that other players are jealous she's gotten so much attention--they think they DESERVE the attention and Clark's stealing it. It's petty.
