Music in the 70s was amazing. I'm saying that as someone who was born in the early 80's. I grew up with my mom, and aunt playing music from the 50s on up. The 70s gave us some amazing stuff.
Totally agree! Born in 1962 in a family of 13, I grew up with the best of the 60s and 70s... Bought my first album from money helping neighbours in the garden and other stuff around the house. The album "Imagination" from Gladys Knight & The Pips was the music I fell in love with, after hearing her "If I Were Your Woman" from one of the "That's Soul"-albums that one of my older brothers used to listen to. Bought it in '73 at the age of 11. With 7 sisters and 5 brothers there was always music, everyday! The best soul, blues, funk, rock, gospel and pop. Those were the days! Good times and the best of music...
That was an amazing time for music. I was a teen during that time. Fun times.

Ran out the door, skidded into a venue and 3 other brothers occupied his previous partner while my brother and I won 1000.00 dancing to this song !

I love watching your videos but if you really want to ‘discover’ what the “Funk was all about”, (and I know you already checked the song by Wild Cherry “play that funky music”) And if you check the Whole Album, you’ll be dancing on top of your toe nails to the greatest Funk You’ve ever heard… There is NOT A Single song in that album besides the “play that funky music” that is not great!! I’m telling you, You’re gonna Love it so much, you’re gonna consider it the “greatest Funk Album of All Time”… (surprise fact: they are all white boys)
