      I’m sure you’ll be happy with the mrp but if that’s the look you’re after I’d highly recommend the Sig 1911 Emperor Scorpion (I don’t think I had one when making this vid which is why it didn’t feature but you can find it elsewhere on the channel). Both are made by KWC so are great 1911 style pistols. That said, the Scorpion is quite a bit more to pay so bear that in mind. The Swiss Arms MRP will be great if that’s the one you prefer. It’s essentially the same gun as the Stainless SA TRS and the Remington 1911 RAC Tactical, all just different finishes cosmetically. Hope that helps and happy plinking!

    I was late to the party with 1911s, but very pleased with my Remington. Put on some wooden grips from Epic Militaria which only required some minor modification to fit perfectly. Also got a sweet replica leather holster from Epic which really completes the set up. Great video as usual. Thanks.

    Suffice to say the the remaining 35 minutes of your review gets an A+ from me and a new subscriber for you.

      Glad you were able to enjoy the video and I didn’t lose you in the first couple of minutes! Risky business! The ‘beautiful’ 1911 I showed first was just some sub £10 spring airsoft gun i collected along the way. Not even sure of the manufacturer tbh. ‘Hawk’ or ‘Eagle’ something or other…😂

    • @brandonbrook9664
      @brandonbrook9664 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@airgunreplicas77 Lol.... The only Co2 airsoft pistol I ever bought here in Canada was something quite similar, except it was constructed of clear moulded plastic.
      It was one of those spur of the moment sporting aisle impulse buys that I foolishly thought might provide some back yard fun for my adolescent son who'd outgrown his interest in his vast arsenal of Nerf Guns that had cost me a small fortune over the previous few years.
      Buyers remorse was swift when I quickly discovered I could shoot a pea, blown through a drinking straw at twice the Fps of the 'see through' Remington 45. Sigh. No returns regardless of the surgical precision I'd used to extract the useless device from it's cheap plastic 'clamshell' packaging. Double sigh.
      Fortunately, the experience led us in the direction of Air guns, an activity that has afforded us countless hours of enjoyment on our large rural property here in B.C.
      My son is now 16 and shoots competitivley within the RC Air Cadets, now ranked in shooting skills as an Expert Marksman. Formaly ranked as a Flight Sgt., he teaches his junior subordinates gun safety & shooting skills.
      On the downside, it seems our Federal Government in on the verge of passing new gun legislation (bill C-21) that may well see ALL replica airgun pistols and SBR's, (pellet, b.b. & airsoft) completely banned and newly categorized as 'Prohibited Weapons', sweepingly all inclusive to include all sub - 500 Fps airguns which had been previously unregulated.
      The same legislation when passed will also have broad sweeping affects on the recreational paintball industry.
      This is what led me to your channel in the first place..... research.
      In the recent months I've noticed a sharp decline in Canadian retail prices of many airguns, in some cases up to an average of 40%. I percieve this as a sensible attempt of retailers to dump stocked inventory to cut their losses if the worst were to happen. There is NO government buyback program for distrubutors or retailers within the proposed legislation.
      For me it seems now is the only time I might ever have the opportunity to own a few of the pistols that have been on my wish list. Our past purchases have been made primarily in the interests of cost vs performance & function. Andy of AAR in your neck of the woods has been a great resource in those regards.
      Your 1911 showcase video confirms your expertise in regard to build quality and collectibility, for which I am grateful. It is a niche that is either elusive or under-fulfilled on the myriad of TH-cam airgun channels I've viewed over the years.
      If you wouldn't mind, I would greatly appreciate your top ranked 1 - 3 choices (or more if your so inclined) of what replica 1911 you yourself would regard as a 'must have'. (Pellet and/or B.B., no airsoft please). #1 being your choice if you could only own one.
      Sorry for the long winded comment, but I'm old school and of the opinion that it's my way of acknowledgment for the time and effort you've put into the production of your thoroughly informative and well presented video.
      Thanks, and best regards from the Great White North.

      @@airgunreplicas77 All good,and thank you. I appreciate your time and consideration. Just to clarify.... that's top 3 PLUS your #1 that you couldn't live without. Also, do you have opinion on the 1911 Tanfoglio Witness?

    • @airgunreplicas77
      @airgunreplicas77  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@brandonbrook9664 there are a couple of versions of the Tanfoglio, both called Witness. A non blowback, plastic version and the full metal 1911a1 blowback version. The latter is an excellent replica pistol in my opinion. I think it was the first iteration of the 1911 made by KWC to hit the market. It is identical in all but the markings to the Remington 1911 RAC, the Swiss Arms 1911a1 and a couple of others. Likewise, the Remington RAC tactical is the same basic platform but based on a more modern version of the 1911 with improved sights and a rail. This is also available as the Swiss Arms TRS. All the above are KWC made and are the best 1911’s available with full functionality, good weight and blowback. The best of them is the Sig 1911 We The People in my opinion although I’m awaiting delivery of the Sig Emperor Scorpion and that may give it a run for its money. Watch this space. Check out my video on KWC 1911’s as I think you’ll be happy with any of them and there’s a variety of colours and styles now.
      As an alternative, the Umarex Colt Special Combat is non blowback and misses some design accuracy with the trigger but it’s still great. More powerful and better use of co2. Plus it looks gorgeous.
      If you can get over the plastic stick mag, the Sig Max Michel or Spartan are both great too. Not strippable but punchy and heavy guns with some good power and blowback.
      So, too 3 at the time of writing:
      3: Colt Special Combat
      2: Sig 1911 Spartan
      1: Sig 1911 ‘We The People’ (kwc)
      For the pure joy of the blowback, weight, the fact you can full field strip and interchange parts, the kwc’s come out on top. I couldn’t live without more than one in my collection . The We The People is the best so far but I also couldn’t live without the more subtle 1911a1 version. Available as the Tanfoglio Witness, Swiss Arms 1911 or Remington 1911 RAC.
      Hope that helps? Check out my other 1911 vids for a look at the guns themselves.

    Another fantastic video, as usual.
    Typically I’m drawn more to tactical pistols, but I do have a few 1911s in my collection. I have to admit to being a bit disappointed by the Colt Special Combat - it feels too much like a shiny toy to me - but the opposite is true of the We The People. You’re absolutely right, it’s phenomenal. A few days ago I picked up the Colt M45 CQBP, which I don’t think I’ve seen on your channel. It’s not quite on the level of the We The People, but it’s highly impressive. Great build quality and the same super-satisfying slide rack as the Sig.
