We have a lottery for rifle season now you can buy expanded archery if you take the urban hunting safety class and shoot all the does you want as long as you buy the tags 10 dollars each and hunt in expanded zones which are mostly costal end two areas in Waterville then regular archery season is buck only unless you win a for tag in the lottery ..
No URBAN hunter safety course needed. All you need to do is buy an Expanded Archery license, find a zone in the state which is designated as expanded zone and hunt. You can buy one buck tag and unlimited doe tags. These tags don't effect your regular archery or your rifle tags. Now you need to have a bowhunter safety course to buy any archery license but no special URBAN safety course. Now your statewide archery license is an either sex tag and if you shoot a deer in this season you CAN NOT shoot another buck during rifle. However we have bonus doe tags given during a lottery draw and this allows you to shoot extra does during rifle season or bow season in the zone you draw for. After draw you can purchase these tags if theres any extra for the given zones.
