Seeing how Edge looks throughout the film, it seems like Edge was constantly going through all the decisions that has happened to make him say yes to the movie in his head and he immediately regrets the decisions so much that he’s on the verge of breaking down in tears.
The whole time I was watching this, I kept thinking ‘is he being hostage?’, ‘is he in need of a crisis management counselor yet can’t afford one?’ and ‘how colossal of a bet did you lose in order to have to appear in this movie?’ as those were the only plausible scenarios in which I could see him being in this movie.
Nope. It's just a job for him to pay the bills. We don't have to act like those people are all big artists who want to do sophisticated stuff all the time. He's a wrestler. The stuff he does in his shows isn't that much more ridiculous than this movie. Greetings from Germany :)
No matter how bad I’m feeling (dealing with chronic illness and cancer - but my hedgehog (Quillemina!) helps me keep on keepin’ on!), seeing a new video from your channel pop up in my feed always makes me smile and squee! Thank you so much for all the amazing laughs and smiles, especially during times when I really need a laugh! Quillemina and I both think you rock! 👍🏻🦔
Edge really does look terrified and all of those clips, which I guess would be normal in a dangerous situation, but I don't think it was supposed to be that way.
This movie would have been a thousand times better if it had actually been how you both imagined it, with the Jericopter and spearing the pilot out of the plane then back into it. The "translation" call back really got me too. lol
15:16-15:20 this is a meme waiting to happen, even if I have to make it myself; the perfect representation of hubris in such a darkly hilarious fashion
Darius Grouch III, huh? So they named him after Darius III, the guy that Alexander the Great defeated to conquer Persia... and a Muppet. Oh, and also a Cassette Transformer, because he's "The Rumble".
The server room is hilarious. It's a redress of the stewardess station but with a bunch of old CD players and some stereos stuck to the consiers table plugged into where the coffee machine and stuff goes. Well, if it was a fan film, that could be clever, but it's not because actual stars were in this.
Someone said this film had a budget of $800,000. Even though that's a drop in the bucket compared to most movies I've seen movies with a small fraction of that, that look ten times better.
Darius Grouch? McGillicuddy? How come the character names in this film feel like they came out of a bad little children's book or the lame preschool show they'd base off said book? Also, I can totally see Dr. Crane saying "That perfidious Niles! He fucked up my terracotta."
Edge looks terrified. He looks like he's going to cry. It doesn't look out of place. It is terrifying situations. But it looks more like he's thinking over the reasons why he he is there. Regretting his choices. Maybe he got the insanity from your job. The gleam of madness. It's nothing to be ashamed of, that film. It's definitely got acting involved. And Edge definitely is acting.
The whole thing with the servers on the plane reminded of that Simpsons episode in wich Springfield opens ita first Internet Caffee, and Snake robs someone who was checking his finances on the bank's webpage by downloading the money into a floppy disk... the most hillarious part is that 20 years ago people already knew that transferring digital money into a physical device is absurd but this movie still played it straight
Phelous:"it looks like it's going to be this big scene, only for an "AAAH", and then cuts the scene." (then shows him shooting his gun, then an ad suddenly interrupts the video) Me caught off guard: Oh wow, you weren't kidding about the cut.
I always love the idea that Edge had such a bad time making this movie he decided, " fuck it, no potential neck injury is worse than this I'm going back to wrestling"
Think it's important, that it shifts from a regional airliner (Boeing 737. inside view) to a massive Airbus A 380, on the outside view...60 tonnes vs. 500 tonnes. ;-)
Phelous' T-shirt looks like what a WCW tie-in for either of the recent Ghostbusters films would look like in the alternate universe where Eric Bischoff's attempt to save it worked out in the end.
Half of the time I didn't understand the references because I know nothing about wrestling (that was about wrestling, right?), but it was still very entertaining.
How can you have Kelsey Grammer as Oscar the Grouch and just tint his normal self green instead of his furry Beast look from X-Men III? Missed opportunity!
So a casino on a plane so I guess that would kind of mess up that whole notion of. If somebody has constant bad luck never go to Vegas with that person nor get on a plane with that person.
So many 90's trends from Joey and Matthew Lawrence to Edge to Sideshow Bob. It's like they all banded together to make this thing. Phelous that shirt is fire, sir!
Oh, THIS is where that clip of Matthew Lawrence that RedLetterMedia used in their 'Creepshow 2' review when they talked about him in 'Tales From the Darkside: The Movie' is from! Andrew was totally one of my favorites back between 1998 and 2002, man, between being T.J. on 'Recess' and the Disney Channel Original Movie 'The Other Me' when his character accidentally cloned himself:):)
I don't think Edge looking sad was acting. I think that's him realizing that's how low his acting carreer has sunk. "I used to have a bit part in Highlander 2, dammit!"
Funnily enough, the other half of Edge and Christian, Christian, might have been on a plane before Edge in a movie. If you look real close in the movie, Shoot Em Up, you can catch Christian pulling a gun on Clive Owen. This is also during the days when he was in TNA. E&C, totally flying with awesomeness
It's so cool that you're reviewing this ridiculous film, and it always puts a smile on my face when Ze Sad Panda makes an appearance. Edit: I wanted to add that I love your cover of "Thriller".
was expecting a crossover with film brain for a money plane vs money train but hurray to see panda again, i love him. it's cool how a lot of you guys are still in touch after all these years with the same people in the videos now that were there in the old old original episodes back in the day
Thanks for this awesome video, Phelous! I love it when Panda guest stars on your channel - you guys are hilarious together, and so much fun to watch. All the WWE/WCW bits had me laughing until my face hurt, lol. And all the Kelsey Grammar "Grouch" jokes were pure joy. I have got to watch Money Plane!
8:25 Those are the moments he remembered what film he was shooting. If you listen carefully you can hear the "..ney ..ane" under his breath when he sighs heavily.
You know you’re old when no one gets your Frazier reference ( I wouldn’t get any Frazier references unless you sang the end theme song with scrambled eggs )but you also know that orange muppet is named Murray!
Woah! This feels like an old Phelous review! The thumbnail, the type of movie, cameos... PANDA? Not sayin' the old videos were the best ones, but this is Good Nostalgia~
I like how the guy called Sad Panda missed all the Edge sadfaces you put up in a montage :P Sideshow Bob playing a man named Grouch who smokes all over a rental home is quite amazing. Sounds like he's the true main character. As Sideshow Bob himself once said, he's here to take the audience to Heaven... before he takes us to Hell.
Phelan you and Julian (Sad Panda) were always my favorite guys on TGWTG later Channel awesome. I'm sure you've heard it 1000 times but I thought it was really messed up how Doug and Mike treated everyone and I do believe yours and Allison's decisions to leave were what gave other creators the strength to do the same! It's great to see you guys are doing so well! Wish you all nothing but happiness and good times in 2023!!
I've never seen a movie where I said: "Damn, wish there was more Andrew Lawrence." I'm so old, I grew up watching those brothers lipsyncing on a Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade float. Offtopic, I seem to remember an episode of Blossom where people were killed by zombies, and she was the T-800, and one of them was killed with a garbage disposal? I swear I'm not making that up.
Edge was probably overdoing his face-acting because he's used to that being how he sold the story of his matches in the ring... but you're right, he seems like an aging Jim Carrey with all the weird contortions his face does.
Guys. Guys please tell me the gun strapped to a toy drone is real. Please tell me it's in the movie. Please, I'm crying real tears. I haven't felt this alive in years.
Funny thing too Joey Lawrence's Concierge character says he himself is a pilot... but it really has no payoff, so they might as well have died on the Money Plane.
Edge did look edgy. Nobody has a poker face. It's incredibly cheap on sets. Yeah, it's a pyramid scam plane. You end up with useless EFTSs with Edge's body and Trump's face glued onto them, or you end up with fake money with Grouch 's face glued onto the notes.
This is the kind of movie people used to find at video stores but honestly these days I'd be shocked if you could even find this title at say Redbox. This is more like the kind of stuff the pads out the library of various streaming services.
3:25 I had to pause the video I was laughing so hard. "I've broken with Christian, but it's not over yet! Meet my new tag team partner: Fraser the Grouch"
Ahh another movie with Dwight from Haven. Btw, cashiers in our local supermarket Пятерочка usually have same problem with my discount card, that magnetic strip don't read properly and they usually wrap card around cash receipt to make it read properly.
I think I remember hearing about this movie on "coolduder's" channel one time in one of his DVD/Blu-Ray updates. Wow, this movie....just wow. This looks like one of the best worst action films ever made. This could go into the same category with other hilariously bad movies like "Troll 2", "The Room", and the endless library of Neil Breene movies. Also how did they get the likes of Thomas Jane, Kelsey Grammer, two of the Lawrence Brothers, and Denise Richards on board (no pun intended) for this golden turd.
If you missed the last crossover Julien and I did check out our review of Supreme Champion with evil Siro!

The most evil Mortal Kombat character outside of Mortal Kombat!!!!
That Photoshop of Kelsey Grammer’s character being green and in a trash can is just the gift that keeps on giving 😂😂😂
Seeing how Edge looks throughout the film, it seems like Edge was constantly going through all the decisions that has happened to make him say yes to the movie in his head and he immediately regrets the decisions so much that he’s on the verge of breaking down in tears.
Dude probably had more emotional distress filming this than when Judgement Day nearly crushed his wife’s head in at Extreme Rules
I didn't know you also watched Phelous, that is excellent! I loved your comment, that emotional distress, yeah.
It looks like they told him he has to fly a real plane on set before they all crash.
Nope. It's just a job for him to pay the bills. We don't have to act like those people are all big artists who want to do sophisticated stuff all the time. He's a wrestler. The stuff he does in his shows isn't that much more ridiculous than this movie.
Greetings from Germany :)
I love seeing Phelous with his friends, it feels very natural and not as scripted
No matter how bad I’m feeling (dealing with chronic illness and cancer - but my hedgehog (Quillemina!) helps me keep on keepin’ on!), seeing a new video from your channel pop up in my feed always makes me smile and squee! Any video with Ze Sad Panda and Phelous makes me a happy camper. Sacre Bleu!
Indeed!
Bart and Lisa: AAAAHHH!!! SIDESHOW BOB!
Kelsey Grammer: Please... call me "grouch".
Bart and Lisa: AAAAHHH!!! GROUCH!!!
Edge really does look terrified and all of those clips, which I guess would be normal in a dangerous situation, but I don't think it was supposed to be that way.
It’s always funny to look back on this movie and be like; “oh yeah, Edge was in this.”
The CD in the disc tray is clearly the Barenaked Ladies 1998 album Stunt
the frasier revival already took a weird turn
Phelous, Panda and Kelsey Grammer? Count me in!
This movie would have been a thousand times better if it had actually been how you both imagined it, with the Jericopter and spearing the pilot out of the plane then back into it. The "translation" call back really got me too. lol
It's so nice to see Panda again. His cameos back in the day are some of the best PatM highlights (My favorite being HotD2).
You should check out the video we did on Supreme Champion too then if you missed it:

Someone said this film had a budget of $800,000. Even though that's a drop in the bucket compared to most movies I've seen movies with a small fraction of that, that look ten times better.
there's something really surreal about hearing Frasier Crane uttering the phrase "i'm the baddest motherfucker on the planet"
Darius Grouch? McGillicuddy? How come the character names in this film feel like they came out of a bad little children's book or the lame preschool show they'd base off said book? Also, I can totally see Dr. Crane saying "That perfidious Niles! He fucked up my terracotta."
I didn’t expect that Red Letter Media would review Money Plane. I expected this review even less. I’m grateful for both.
Never thought I'd see Beast from X Men 3 and The Punisher in the same room.
Alternate MCU.
A plane can fly perfectly well with the door open. Depressurizing the cabin won't crash a plane.
What’s funny is that the ‘trailer’ for the Fraiser reboot actually features straight up clips from this movie! Not sure Fraiser uses a machine gun…
The little animated and photoshopped bits make me laugh every time
0:58 OMG! That photo is so adorable!
Darius Emanuel Grouch III., better known as The Rumble, was a key role in understanding the unique development of Kelsey Grammers acting career!
I coulde honestly watch Phelous and Le SadPanda talk about movies featuring martial artists and wrestlers all day.
Phelous:"it looks like it's going to be this big scene, only for an "AAAH", and then cuts the scene."
(then shows him shooting his gun, then an ad suddenly interrupts the video)
Me caught off guard: Oh wow, you weren't kidding about the cut.
🤣
Ironically, this movie is part of why Edge is my favorite wrestler
I always love the idea that Edge had such a bad time making this movie he decided, " fuck it, no potential neck injury is worse than this I'm going back to wrestling"
Think it's important, that it shifts from a regional airliner (Boeing 737. inside view) to a massive Airbus A 380, on the outside view...60 tonnes vs. 500 tonnes. ;-)
"Oh no the Jericopter!", might become a new quote of mine when shit goes down.
I would go on the money plane just to win the funds just to produce a movie about the Jericopter.
How can you have Kelsey Grammer as Oscar the Grouch and just tint his normal self green instead of his furry Beast look from X-Men III? Missed opportunity!
The best casting I've ever seen.
I was trying to remember what movie I remember him from, bingo.
Sees new Phelous episode; “Well, I didn’t need my job anyways” (proceeds to watch episode).
These two need a podcast or something, it's so good just watching them reminisce
They got Celsey for like a day. Maybe it's his mansion even.
🎶Baby, I hear those blues a-callin'

Hopefully the director isn't "callin' again".
So a casino on a plane so I guess that would kind of mess up that whole notion of. If somebody has constant bad luck never go to Vegas with that person nor get on a plane with that person.
Kelsey Grammer from Storks voice as one of them rambles 'Boossssss'.
WHAT?! I never thought I would see Welshy and Obscurus Lupa do a crossover ever again! What a treat!
Edge seems to have this naturally manic face with the large glaring eyes. I don’t think he can do chill as an actor.
So many 90's trends from Joey and Matthew Lawrence to Edge to Sideshow Bob. It's like they all banded together to make this thing.
Phelous that shirt is fire, sir!
Oh, we didn't get a Sideshow Bob clip? B'oh!
All thanks to Director TJ Detweiler
I need a Tshirt that says ' he jericopters the plane'

If you were once half of one of the best tag teams ever, and now you make shitty cash in movies with Frasier, you be sad in every scene too.

I remember TNA hyping it up but he's on screen for less than a second. It's literally blink and you miss it.
Honestly I'd rather be in Shoot Em Up for a split second then however long Edge is in this dreck.
@@JohnDoe-wq5eu which would be an hour and 20 minutes. And on top of that, it was filmed and released in 2020... And supposedly made $618...

Serendipity.
Oh god I had suppressed this movies existence.
We have this airplane set and access to a house and it's the director'shouse so we can't touch anything. It's pandemic so we have to film there.
