Tarantula ring 2 is better
To Everybody who is concerned about the Price. I Have a few things to say. I Have for the longest time wanted to incorporate Thread work into my magic but have always been too put off by the complicated set ups and resets and restricted movement when not using it. It has been a nightmare so for the last 3 years or so all have used has been loops. I Purchased this and have not gotten it yet but went over the Video and the tricks and i have to say this is going to be worth every penny. Just picture this, You are sitting down at a table and you pull out a deck of cards. Take out one card play with it a bit and then throw it in front of you and it just suspends mid air between you and the table. I mean Harry Potter can suck it haha. Super excited to get it and based on the videos it shouldn't take longer than a few hours of practice to become smooth with it and make it look like the videos. And the creativity that you can use for your own tricks is endless. Them Frenchies really made something incredible and thanks to Ellusionist for bringing it to us

Oh wow this looks amazing. I've been wondering for years when someone would eventually modernize and upgrade the ITR system. I love the Miracles you can do with an ITR but I hated the devices.

Monski this is better than tarantula. You have far more range of motion and instant clear so you are free of evidence. All u need is pants and a shirt. Its brilliant.

I read the comments and most of you wanted to know which was better the tarantula II or Venom. I bought venom and a buddy of mine has the both. I know how both work and in my opinion Venom is better than the tarantula and the spider pen pro. If i were you i would get venom. I cannot guarantee you will like it but 95% most likey will.
I am going to wait for reviews to come out to purchase Venom. If the reviews are better than those for the Spider Pen Pro then I will definitely buy this.

The way I see it, Spiderpen costs between $90 - $120... at least from all the sources I have been able to find so far. You get only the one ITR with that. Venom is $159 for two... actually isn't really that unreasonable... will be getting when I can...
Makroskizhar Demios Honestly I was expecting worse. I was expecting it to be $300 or more. So $160,while still a lot of money, isn't as bad as I was expecting.
It's also a one-time price for most people. The casual performer will never need another one unless they lose it.
Is the second shipment still on track ?? I have ordered this item. People are complaining about price. I believe the video alone is worth the price ticket. two Itr + video it's a steel.
The video is really that good. after a bit for practice you will be performing Levitation that will blow all other ITR out of the water.
We have not had any issues with the second shipment yet.
People complaining about the price -> this is for working magicians, who will probably be taking £300-£500 per gig, so a tool like this is definitely gonna be worth its buck.
The price is there because these are high-end machined pieces. It's a once-a-lifetime purchase, so in the grand scheme $160 isn't that much.

How Do you use the device can you put up a video on how it works? And how to use the little tinny device or the set up to it?

This is a mechanical reel, not electronic. So you are always ready to go, no need to worry about batteries. They are both good, but we're super psyched about Venom.
I own everything. Venom, Spider pen, spider pen pro, Tarantula 1 &2. ..Plus various Sorcery ITRs. Hands down without a shadow of doubt in my mind, the Spider Pen pro is the best device on the market. Also, Spider thread is among the weakest in strength but also #1 for invisibility, nothing even comes close.
After using venom for the last couple months I can tell you with 100% certainty that it tangles a lot. Like a lot. The amount of time i've spent untangling Venom is greater than the amount of time i've been able to utilize the device. And I'm an expert with IT. That being said, the project video itself is worth the cost of the whole package. Much better than Yigals video for either Tarantula or SPP. The effects are equally as powerful.
My advice to you is get them all...lol. But if you can only get one. Spider Pen Pro.

We're not really into comparing, here. Tarantula 2 and Venom are similar, but different and used for different purposes. They're both good - we're just really excited about this one for the ease of use and minimal maintenance.

since their will be no refill, i was wondering can yo do most of these trick with a different thread when you run out or are most of the tricks only able to be done with this thread.will yo be able to do the ring trick
You can use any thread you like. You'll need to test some of the really thing stuff to make sure it's strong enough, but the way it's set up really reduces the amount of tension that gets put onto the thread.
People complaining about the price...I don't get it, the spider pen pro was at 130 at the start so this is only 30 bucks more.
Magic is expencive, expecially if you want quality...stop bitching about the price of a new IT system and the ideas behind it.

It's like a watch, if you complain about the price...well dude it's mechanical, gotta be high quality in order to work. Dig deeper, there is videos on the making of it and other products from the french guys that you can measure by quality.

I don't know why there is always so much hate in the comments sections, it's different for each product. For Ice Cold ACAAN, people are getting butthurt because they thought they were actually going to learn real magic, and complained Ellusionist does false advertising. One Coin Routine, people are complaining how Moritz is just some kid and the download isn't worth it. For Dimension you got A LOT of pimple trying to figure it out, asking for it to be revealed, and complaining it's not the "real magic" they were expecting.
There is no "perfect" magic trick, idiots.

it this thread material is different with "Invisible"?
Yes. It's actually a bit thicker than what is used in Invisible by default, but you can also change it to whatever thread you like. That process takes only a minute or two and is taught in the video.
Where is the best place to busk without getting into trouble? I would totally do some busking for this. I'm currently working a engineer but do kids shows on the side. I would love some good levitation in my magic act.
You want a place where people go to hang out, that's not private property (Unless you get permission to perform on said property). Touristy areas are great. You want a place with turnover, too, so that there will always be more people to see the show and give you money.

It's a thicker thread, but still thread that has been used for ages.
Does venom have a sound?
There's a little bit of noise, but it's not noticeable unless you're in a silent, empty room.

If you work with IT the thread will break at some point. This has always been an issue with reels, which snap the thread back into the device when the thread breaks. These reels are designed with that in mind, though, and you can fix it very quickly instead of just having to have a backup or lots of time to unravel the thread.
Basically you just take off the cap and you’re there, you don’t fiddle with the elastics at all.
Ok this is awesome and I'm really considering buying it but I can't understand how the IT sticks to the objects. How does any IT work? Do you have to tie it on or something? Is it sticky? Sorry for my lack of knowledge I'm most definitely not a magician.
That's not a question we can answer in a public forum. The best I can say is that everything you need to know to work with Venom is taught in the video.

We are not making refills, because you can use whatever IT you like to refill it. The process take about 1 to 2 minutes.
The device is made of aluminum and polycarbonate. You'll have to replace a couple parts occasionally, but you should be able to use it forever.

We don't have Tarantula 2 so can't really do a side by side comparison. But this is not electronic, it's mechanical. So no batteries to worry about.

It can use any ring, you just may have to adjust the working a little bit. That's covered in the instructions.

Yes absolutely. You can even switch out the current thread for thicker kevlar thread for a stage presentation, since no one will be close enough to see the thicker thread.

I have no clue how this works and I would want to know a few things before i spend that much. Primarily, is it similar to loops? Where it's more of a one use thing. Or, is it durable enough for many uses.
It is similar to loops but you can do more things with it and you can reuse it over and over and over and over again.
Loops are a band of elastic invisible thread. This is a reel set up, so non-elastic IT. Anything a loop can do, so can this. But then you can also shift a pint glass across the bar with this. Much stronger than any loops we've seen. Also, aside from minor maintenance, these will last a lifetime. Aluminum and polycarbonate used in the construction. Replacing the IT in the reels is easy, too - takes about a minute or so.

I wouldn't recommend elastic thread, but yes you can replace it with anything you like.

They have different uses. Tarantula is a motorized reel, and this is not. Both have advantages and disadvantages - we just happen to be very excited for this system.

It comes with 30m of thread on each reel already. You can replace it with whatever thread you want. If you're having trouble with the visibility of loops, then you'll probably want to go with a thinner thread than Venom uses by default.

You need pockets, or somewhere to create a hookup of some sort. Dress shirt, jacket, jeans, slacks. All options are covered in the video.

That would depend on the user, really.
ok so I have never used itr or invisible thread so is this a good place to start and if so can this be done in a school/casual setting without revealing the thread
Arthur's teaching will definitely get you on the right path as far as IT work. School would be a tricky place to do it, because of the lighting. Overhead fluorescent lighting is one of the most likely situations to reveal the thread on accident.
The big thing with thread is .. well, it's two thing. 1) Lighting. 2) Moving yourself so it doesn't look like you're pulling something with thread. As in, making your movements look natural as well as creating a disconnect between your movements and whatever the thread is doing. Arthur is really aware of this and constructs the routines so that there are automatic disconnects built in to the structure of the routine.

Venom Reels, as long as you take care of them, will last forever. You will have to replace the thread occasionally, as well as the band that provides tension. Those are the only parts that will need to be replaced.

You wouldn't use elastic thread in a reel. You want regular IT for that. You can use any type you like in Venom.

There are a variety of ways to hook up Venom taught in the video. Shirt pockets are used for the main one taught but there are other options.
Venom looks to me like the Best Buy on ellusionist(excluding decks and magic stream) but for me (14) spending 130 of my pocket money is a large investment. I love the look of it so I will very likely be getting it. But I have one question. Is it purely IT based or does it use invisible loops/thread. I have had issues with them breaking easily in the past and they are expensive if used in vast quantity. So my question is, are there refills that I will have to spend extra money in occasionally or once I have bought the venom device will be set for life and not have to spend any more cash(on refills)?An awnser would be appreciated so I can make my mind up on buying this product. It is an ITR - which stands for invisible thread reel. You can do pretty much anything that would be possible with loops with this, and much, much more.
The thread it comes with is strong for IT. But it's still IT and thus it will probably break at some point. That's not really something you can avoid. It's a matter of getting the feel for the tension being put on the thread. You can also replace that thread with any type you like, and that's not terribly hard to do. Takes 1-2 minutes.
We probably won't do refills because any thread can be used.
