Jeremy! Thanks for the video, we are really looking forward to having you here and showing you the place where our guitars are born! 💛 Also, thanks all of you for so many compliments, it's great motivation for us! Thanks!
I've commented before about how grateful I am for your channel and for introducing me to Furch! I purchased the Furch Yellow Master's Choice Gc-CR in March 2022 and as much as I loved it when I got it I love it even more now! It came down to that and a Breedlove Premier Concert Redwood-Rosewood, which is a stunning guitar, but the Furch simply had another dimension to it! It was my dream guitar purchase so I wanted to choose something that really spoke to my aesthetic and stood apart from all the others. The Furch Yellow Master's Choice Gc-CR simply had a resonant quality that none of the other guitars had. I'm a singer songwriter and since March it is now THE guitar I use in all the videos on my channel featuring my songs. I also did an overview/demonstration video of the guitar both acoustically and though a Fishman Loudbox Mini using the 3 primary positions of the Anthem Stage Pro pickup. Anyway, I am really looking forward to the factory visit you do and seeing more video from where my beautiful guitar was created! I've watched other Furch factory videos w/ Petr Furch as guide, and his sincere passion for making the best guitars possible really comes across! I know you'll find your own way of presenting it that will add another dimension. Keep up the great work!!
Glad to see Furch are getting more recognition. I bought a Furch Yellow GC SR about 18 months ago and absolutely love it. Its tone still amazes me every time I play it and the craftsmanship is superb.
Jeremy, this is a great opportunity for you. This trip is cool. These are great guitars. I hope to own one , but not sure when! This is a great video, cool production and content. Thank you
I’ve been lucky enough to pick up my third Furch of 2022 this week. Started with the Blue GC-CM master’s choice, then snagged a Vintage 2 DC-SR, just this week I got the LJ 10-CM. Love them!!
terrific setting to display and show off a great sounding guitar. Lot's of production value in this video. We all appreciate how much work you put into your posts!!!!!
Hi buddy, great to hear that your off to the furch factory. You lucky boy. They invited me to come over but I'm a bit disabled and wouldn't like to go on my own. Have a great time. Take lots of video of the trip. Best wishes Dean 🇬🇧
So awesome about the trip to the Czech Republic and that Yellow Deluxe is sweet!. I can't wait to see the videos of the factory tour. Thanks for the vid Jeremy!!
Man that's beautiful. I haven't played many(if any) acoustics since I was a kid starting out. But man, your videos really have me wanting one. And I've been lucky enough to have spent some time in Czech(Prague) and it's a cool place to go.
Enjoy Brno, Cz. It is a beautiful city as well as country. Lived in Cz for three years, met my wife there. 23 years later, two kids grown still loved going back.
I'm the proud owner of a Furch Master's Choice Yellow CR....an amazing sounding work of art/craftsmanship. The cedar/rosewood combination hits the sweet spot for me like no other guitar I've played. Congrats of your newest acquisition Jeremy and I look forward to the Furch Factory tour video.
Great video(flyover intro was delightful)- loved the sound of this guitar for your Damien Rice - Cannonball[I think?!?] instrumental in the specifications section. Have a great trip to the C-R!
I purchased a Blue Gccm Masters Choice, looks a lot like your Yellow in this video, but less gloss. I did a lot of research on Furch before the purchase. I own Taylor, Martin, Breedlove, and Washburn guitars. The Furch Blue I have is high end quality…love it; it’s a workhorse. It has its own feel, sound, and action that is amazing. Great product! Wish they’d standup a production factory here in US and more distributors.
I love my two Furch Blue series instruments, a 6 and a 12 string. Amazing guitars and I am now completely spoiled and don't enjoy anything else. So jealous you get to meet the Furch team in person! Bring me back a sample!!!!! LOL
I can still hear that bolt-on neck though!!! And I should mention that poly gloss coat. If you want a modern church-ready guitar, these Furch are wonderful. Basically a Czech Taylor. If you want some old-time oomph, buy a Martin, Gibson, Santa Cruz, etc. Something with a dovetail and nitro. I love that x/y grid to place your guitars. I am going to adopt it myself. This would possibly allow me to add a modern-sounding guitar like this to my collection. Maybe I have been too fixed on buying guitars with that vintage, old-school sound.
My first Furch ( special order lefty) is in the works! Amazing choices that lefties have with Furch is very impressive & says a lot about this company’s commitment to building great instruments for players.
Great video as always! Gotta say I love seeing you getting to know Furch. Ever since I own mine (Vintage OM) I'm a huge fan. Going on a factory tour there is definitely on my to do list (don't have to travel as far as you though). Looking foreward to seeing you venturing to Europe!
Great production on this vid. It's making me homesick for Virginia summer. Meanwhile, enjoy your trip to the Czech Republic. I hope you will have a grand time!
Really excited to see you coming through Brno Czech Republic (I’m an American living in Brno). It’s a great part of the world. And definitely you should check out the Dowina guitars (made in Bratislava).
I love my Yellow Deluxe. Looks like we have the same guitar! One suggestion for a pickup: try the Bartlett Guitar EJ. That's what I have in my Yellow Deluxe. It is a full-range mini condenser installed just inside the sound hole (and EQed for that location). It's made by the guy that used to design Crown's line of mics. If you aren't familiar with it, let me know and I'll send you some audio samples. Also, some great drone work on this video!
This is my guitar! (Well, the GS23 CR which looks like the predecessor to this). Really interested to hear what you conclude on the strings. I've been playing elixir PBs on it for years and have suddenly decided to try some different things, not sure I've found anything better than the elixirs just yet.
I do hope that you are recording for an album. The liner notes alone would be worth the price. It is great to hear happy children! I enjoy my cedar over rosewood guitar and I play it daily.
Yeah some Damien Rice! Furch’s are great. Very good price too for what they offer. I played a Vintage 3 Dread, loved it. I’d like to try some ‚color’ models. We get them every now and then around here in Switzerland. I strumm mostly and liked the Dread 3 but somehow I love smaller bodied Guitar and their compression when strummed. And of course the size is so comfy especially as a couch player. Playing a slope Eastman limited now and you are right. It is more then I need 😉. Glad I am following you. Enjoy your content a lot. Glad is working out for you.
I bought a Furch GNC4 guitar last year. It became 8th guitar in my collection. I LOVE this guitar and play much more than I thought I would. I now plan to buy a steel string Furch because I believe quality + price favors Furch VS. Taylor and Martin - I own both BtW. I don’t think T or M better - but Furch equal at worst, better price/quality comparisons VS T&M. Furch hits the guitar player's sweet spot. Seriously look at this guitar if you want acoustic high end built guitar at price that doesn’t necessarily break the bank if you consider their different price points.
That's a beautiful guitar, and fine sounding. I'm not familiar with Furch Guitars, and may have to check them out. Course sounds interesting. My favorite guitar is my mid 70's Guild 12 string (Salvation Army Thrift store find) and my first, a Sigma from a pawn shop in Wichita.
My first guitar was a FURCH D61-Lux (1995)… I still have it, love it. The 61-Lux has the solid cedar top, laminated rosewood back and sides. The neck is mahogany and rosewood fingerboard and bridge. The Indigo CY is the current version of the 61-Lux. (Also owner D18)
What is the reason for the thicker and thinner fret markers at the 12 spot? Love your enthusiasm and presentation style. Anxious to see your trip videos. Thanks
If you are in the UK. A great guitar shop is ‘Richards guitars’ in Stratford Upon Avon. They specialise in Furch guitars. And he Is passionate about guitars. He has a you tube channel too.
Hi Jeremy. I’m glad you finally got a Furch. I own a Vintage 3 Dreadnaught. Furch guitars are drop-dead gorgeous and the fit and finish is second to none. Mine had such a beautiful tone. With Furch giving you this one, do you think it is one you will keep? Just wondering with all the guitars you are given by manufacturers, how do you possibly find room to keep all of them?
Those are all great questions. This one will be with me for at least a couple years. I am getting a lot of guitars these days and storage is tricky. I have a big rack in my studio. Even with the big rack, I still have guitars hiding in closets and our basement.
Check out Dowina (pron. 'Doveena') guitars from Bratislava in Slovakia as well, Jeremy. They're also beautifully hand-crafted, and are on a par with Furch.
I have a first anniversary Green and it is a fantastic instrument Put a kk mini in it an don’t look back it’s magic in a praise and worship setting and it mates incredibly well with the even tempered pianos where a lot of good sounding guitars are just out of tune Congratulations
Hey Jeremy, currently play a Taylor 310ce and I’ve been super happy with it but I gotta be honest that Furch has caught my eye! If I wanted to take a small step forward from my current guitar, do you think that would be more the blue deluxe or yellow deluxe?
Blue deluxe is a great choice. Yellow Deluxe is moving up to a pro level guitar, it's comparable to the 700 series from Taylor. Let me know what you choose! I offer coaching/advice calls on my website.
Hi Jeremy, thank you for the great videos you make. I'd like to ask you if you had any results with some other strings on your Furch. I bought also Yellow G-CR and was wondering if some other strings would suit it even better than Elixir Phosphor Bronze. Thank you
Cedar Rosewood is a great combo! This video got me thinking about what I use guitar for. Most of what I’m currently doing now is PW, I think I “may” have the wrong guitar. Might need to schedule a call.
I would love to do a call, but, as I say at the end of this video, the right guitar is the one you already have, it's rare that you actually need to trade out guitars unless you really want to.
I'd recommend trying out Elixir Nanoweb 80 20 strings for your Furch, Jeremy, to replace the recommended phosphor bronze. They work so much better - I have 2 Furchs, an Orange OM sitka/walnut and a Stonebridge sitka/flame maple jumbo. You've think they would be more brighter still and more zingy, but somehow they're warmer, and this seems to work for both of my Furchs, and they are very different guitars. The Yellow Deluxe cedar/rosewood GA shape is very much on my list and to me i think it's the classic Furch combination. I couldn't get my hands on one when I was in the market. Congrats on your trip to the Furch factory!
I'd really like to know how the Yellow CR and the Vintage 2/3 OM SR compare. From comparing videos on TH-cam and from tonepedia I think the Vintage has a warmer tone even though the Yellow CR has a cedar top and the Vintage sitka. Could the Vintage line have the warmest tone of the Furches even comparing them to cedar tops?
Great video. Check out Maestro Guitars ( not the cheap Gibson stuff) from Singapore, they are amazing guitars just like Furch. Also an interesting company from Japan, Headway. They have two cool models. One with Sakura, Cherry Blossom, body. They also have a coffee tree body guitar.
So I was listening to this while I was walking the dog and had my earphones in. I kept looking around and over my shoulder it sounded like those kids were behind me
I had to stop the vid, rewind and listen again, you can feel the headstock vibrating when tuning, so all that energy for the soundboard is being pushed through the whole guitar. Not my idea of a good energy displacement. But hey they are great sounding guitars but I just ordered a Lowden with Cedar over Mahogany.
Furch guitars are fantastic. The one Jeremy has bought is their best selling guitar.......Top end Furch acoustics blow new Taylor's, Martin's and Gibson's out of the water! They're hand-crafted, not mass-produced like the popular US brands are.
You sure about hand crafted, I thought Jeremy said everything was CNC’d to perfection. What is actually hand crafted from any of the top makers. Also your statement of blowing the big 3 out the water is a bit silly, there is a endless list of great guitar makers including the 3 you mention It’s just down to preference and cost, no single maker is the best.
@@JeremySheppard That surprises me to get this reply. I figured the yellow would be less bright due to the cedar. I always hear it's a warmer sound, no?
Hey Jeremy I have a Taylor 324ce. Basically in brand new condition. I bought it 6 months ago. It goes for 2299 in the stores. I have it listed for 1899. Is that about right? I mean it’s mint condition I even have the boxes. Thanks Ryan
To what degree is this an alternative Lowden universe guitar? BTW, I don't know if I ever asked if you have owned a Lowden. I really regret letting my O-10 go back in the late 1980s.
Over a year ago Jeremy, you traded a Gibson to a friend for a breed love OOOCRE. I contacted you about it but it had already sold I found one and purchased it a couple months ago and absolutely love it for the reasons that you outlined in this video Dash Cedar top Rosewood back in sight. However because I'm an older player with a touch of arthritis I wanted to short scale of a 12 frat and absolutely love this guitar playing in church for praise and worship. Thank you for your channel
@@JeremySheppard oh cool, love your videos they have passion and character. I'm on the other side of the country in Perth. If you make it that far, I'd love to jam.
Although beeing from Czech Republic I do not own any Furchs. Shame on me. I have played few and they are awsome guitars. I think next guitar will be Furch for me. Anyway enjoy your travel. Little tip for you if you want to win over Czech person: compliment the beer. That will work in my estimation between 80 to 95% of the time ;-) In Brno it is probably 50/50 beer vs. wine though ... 😀 so chose wisly ... BTW top work with the videos you do.
You’re videos are turning into commercials for whoever will give you money to advertise their stuff This is the downfall of you tubers who make their money from you tube I don’t trust what you say when you are being paid to advertise This happens a lot to people who are just trying to make money

To what degree is this an alternative Lowden universe guitar? BTW, I don't know if I ever asked if you have owned a Lowden. I really regret letting my O-10 go back in the late 1980s.
Beautiful Virginia..😁
That tshirt in Nashville.
What do you mean?
This is the guitar to get if you can’t get a hold of an Olson (or the $15k+)
What a lovely sounding guitar. Jealous.... but in a good way of course...
That's awesome! I'm sorry mine didn't work out but that's a ton of guitar! So glad we're connected. Thanks, Scott!
beautiful country nice people, goulash and the food will make you want to stay forever, euro guitars are very over looked
We've got a full itinerary of eating and seeing beautiful places. I can't wait!
Hey come to Australia and then visit Maton guitars (Tommy Emmanuel loves them).
Working on a trip in October! My brother lives in Sydney.
@@JeremySheppard oh cool, love your videos they have passion and character. I'm on the other side of the country in Perth. If you make it that far, I'd love to jam.
I have a Yellow Deluxe GC-CR with an LR Baggs Anthem Pickup. It's absolutely beautiful!
Hello Adam, thank you very much for your words! Happy you like it! 💛
@@FurchGuitarsOfficial I love it! I've got my eye on a Vintage D-Sr next!
@@Mackie17 🙏🏻
It’s it me or does this guitar sound very similar to a Taylor?
Don't knock it until you try it!
@@johnjones-uc3ni Yes it might be a good product but what I’m saying is I wonder how many people who do commercials for products actually use them
