I’m am enjoying your Phrase “Having a Play”. My practice I consider as A Happy Accidents. But I enjoy FUN I know there is an Artist in me it just hasn’t Grown up yet. Foggy here In NE Florida but at least it’s not raining.

You will love Canada. It is my favorite spot. Lovely wild areas and friendly small towns and lovely busy large cities. Various landscapes, amazing scenery.. .it is another beautiful day in Central Wisconsin USA. 🎨🎨really enjoyed the tutorial today.

I'm older than you are and I like using ball point and felt tip pens. I haven't used a fountain pen since I was a kid but it does give a certain look. In central Florida we are continuing this "summer" pattern of afternoon and evening rain. We are looking forward to fall . Our temperatures are a few degrees cooler now, and every degree counts. High humidity, of course.

I saw or found one interesting effect in your picture, maybe I am alone with this perception:
Top left is a big yellow rectangle and a green scare. Inbetween of them is a small blue rectangle. The colours and the local arrangement of this three areas looks like an overlapping of a transparent yellow form and a transparent green form, which build together the darker area. BUT true is: Yellow plus green doesn't make blue!!!
What's that? I think: In this case is brightness/darkness of this 3 areas more important for our eyes and brain that the colour. And also influencing to this illusion is the fact that this 3 colours are closly related to each other enough that in this constellation our brain does not realize that yellow and green don't result blue.
(I hope my text is understandable)
I would like to hear if you see this illusion, too. And if so, what do you think how this effect is created by?

Hello Sonja, you are absolutely right! I love playing with art anomalies and entertain myself with little things like this! You are the first person to comment about it and I am so happy!!! 🙂🙂☀️🙂 Our brains have to make sense of the world around us, and we notice contrasts especially. Whenever there is an anomaly, we either reject it, because it’s just too crazy, or we start to try and work it out. Thank you so much for your fascinating comment. And look out for others in the thumbnails! Love Cate x
