Hello guys, just found your channel, you have a nice connection relaxed way of fishing, and its so good to see a lady enjoying the sport, well done, im all for supporting people who love to fish, a lot of people dont like Bream, there slimy dont always fight much, but I love em, nice slab, new sub here, well done clap clap.
Some superb fishing ,I like the idea of garlic will give that a go as grow my own and fishing the River Severn at moment .Was that a Spitfire flying about or similar at end of video .
Hello, from NM and been fishing fifty years but never have I seen baskets with bait in them to attract fish. Can't do that here. Also, you got bait below the hook and not on it? Very curious. Nice set up. Beautiful countryside there. Maybe someday I'll make it to the British Isles as my ancestry is overwhelmingly Irish, English and German. I've been influenced by so much European culture and yet so much to discover. Now I just looked up Yorkshire and I see Durham and interestingly enough, I just been listening to "Durham Town" a song by your very own Roger Wittaker. Do ya ever fish the River Tyne?
Hi there! Thanks for the comment. The river fishing equipment here is very good. We use a piece of elastic to hold a pellet near the hook. Durham is a lovely city. We have never fished there but would like to one day. 😊
I have some bad news for you. Durham (the city) isn't actually on the banks of the Tyne. It's on the river Wear. Old Roger couldn't make it work in his song though so he used a bit of artistic licence. The Wear is a better river for coarse fishing anyway.
Love it down there always a few fish to catch, great video
Thank you ❤
Cool vid! I like the old meat trundling method on a nice flowing river

good video guys. sound
Thank you! We really appreciate your kind words
Danm that’s a long hook link, I usually go for 1-2 ft, what’s the positives of using a longer hook link?
We’ve found the longer hook links help out with reducing line bites and spooking the fish 🎣
@@talesofscales okay I’ll give this a go on my next trip to the local river

@davemiller8856 Yeah I searched a map and saw that. Hey, ya gotta do, whatcha gotta do.
Great to see use of unhooking mat, however I wouldn’t be picking up a bream for a piccy, way too slimy
😂😂very true!!
Naburn lock ?
No mate that's Linton lochs about 3 mins from my house 😂
Nice video! Just one thing: the first fish isn't a "nice" roach, it's a small bream :).
Thanks, glad you enjoyed the video! It’s a roach bream hybrid, they’re common on the Yorkshire Ouse. Great fun to catch 🎣
Nice too see females fishing. Been fishing for 50 years and only met one
a nice bream, who even says that, sticking nuisances
i fish further down steam on the leeds book, had some big barbel out the ouse.
i use curried meat at the beginning of the season
