BTS' impersonator sentenced jail for stealing their music and collecting the band's military details

The impersonator, who had been posing as BTS members Suga and Taehyung, illegally obtained unreleased music demos and private details about the members' military service.
Mr. B was apprehended and prosecuted in January 2024, resulting in a one-year prison sentence for violating the Act on Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection. He had initially appealed this decision, but on May 16, the Criminal Appeal Department 5-2 of the Seoul Central District Court upheld the original sentence, reaffirming his one-year imprisonment.
