    did you just use a 9 volt lithium battery? I saw this camera at an antique store today, but I noticed that it had it;s own battery that they don't make anymore. I heard that it could take a 9 volt battery also.

    • @MayShi
      @MayShi  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes, a 9 volt lithium battery works. It might be a bit loose but should work just fine. :)

      Was also looking for a comment about the battery lol I just ordered a 9V battery and the one I got doesn’t fit.. what brand of 9V batteries did you end up using?

      @@mellowsday I took mine to a camera shop, and they tested it, but it made horrible noises with the winding. I had to throw it away. hopefully yours works.

    Have this camera having trouble finding a battery for it. Bought one on eBay but didn’t work. Any suggestions?

    • @MayShi
      @MayShi  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Heya, have you tried a 9V battery as a replacement for the Kodak battery?

    • @anthoneymartin7271
      @anthoneymartin7271 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      A 9 volt is a little loose in the special Kodak battery slot, but they usually work just fine.

    i just bought one from an antique store!! i can see some dirt when i look through the peep hole im not sure if i should be concerned or not ive never used film before. where do you get film?

    • @MayShi
      @MayShi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Try cleaning the peep hole and lens with a micro-fibre cloth. When you open the back you should also see a glass, try to blow it with a rocket blower. You can also just check after shooting and pray for the best.
      Whereabouts do you live?
      And congrats on the find! :)

    How do you disable the flash?

    • @MayShi
      @MayShi  ปีที่แล้ว

      Unfortunately, you can't turn the flash off this cam. It will flash when it thinks a scene is underexposed.

      @@luisvelazquez8933 the film should catch on automatically and when it reaches the end will rewind back automatically. I understand the fear though, haha. It just happens sometimes.
