Personally I miss the old days of destiny where pretty much every kill dropped a special brick and scavengers gave like 4 shotgun shots per brick. I loved being a shotgun ape with felwinters or seventh seraph cqc. But this wall crate system plus the swap modifier is awful.

Noticed when i was playing trials the other day you only lose ability energy if you switch weapons mid fight during the round and not in the intermissions between rounds if they are different ammo types.
If crates stay in trials I’m never playing it again, being kinda bad makes you god awful in this mode (I’m god awful apparently) and there’s no room to learn when the special ammo economy allows you to shoot a fusion rifle like an auto rifle lol
yea youre not locked on double special, if you die you can swap without losing abilities/super progress. same thing for in between rounds. it's only if you hot swap in the middle of the round when you're alive that you'll lose your abilities
I love these games with Gold. I know I have mentioned this before but I love how Gold has changed since he quit playing with Lucky, and I dont mean that as Lucky was a bad person or anything negative towards him. Gold used to complain all the time. Every player that wasn't just running at him handing him free kills was "annoying" or "lame" but something changed about 2 years ago and he has become far more positive. But back when I used to call gold out for this I have learned something since then. Its hard to stream and just be positive. As a streamer you have to constantly be speaking and that means basically shutting off you filter and just speaking whats on your mind. And its very easy to just get into a cycle of complaining about everything because its far easier to call people out for playing an annoying playstyle than it is to notice this, not say something and then try and find something else to talk about. Anyways thats my schizo post for the night. If gold see's this, 1v1 wallah please.
i think adjusted something in the sbmm too, cause the last to trials ive tried i came out with somewhere between 0.8 and 1.1 KD but when i tried yesterday(saturday) i got shit on in every single match for hours on end getting entire matches wtih 0 kills and getting killed by players that are hiding in a corner and they shot me before i rounded the corner to shoot them, also lost duels when i now i killed them on my screen but they somehow survived and killed me. idk if its bungie playing with the matcmaking searching for better matching or ifi its just the slow as servers they use that fucks things up in an un even way, depending if its your weekend or not. also i constantly got boots on my level or more often actually worse than me!! lol. and enemy teams was everything from full fireteams( i played solo) or just massive comp swets on another level! as i write this a thought occured that it might not be bungies fault but the fact that most average Joes play onslought and not Trials this weekend.
If the special boxes only spawned certain rounds, but carried over, I would be down with that. The fact you can get them every round, sometimes double, it makes way too much green. Either less boxes overall, less ammo in them, or have a 30 second lockout of some sort to keep you from spamming boxes. Any combo of those would be neat to try instead of the "kill people to earn spec" kinda

I kinda like this change to special. But I think, that the Ammo should be split. Like you don’t get 2 fusion and 8 forerunner shots if you play double special, you get 1 fusion and I think it was 2 forerunner shots.. This is forcing you to use 1 special like in the past. Thoughts?
this is only a problem because of 2 things, 1 forerunner is broken as shit i have long thought that it needs a hard nerf, it should either be a 4 shot kill because of it fire rate or only spawn with 4 shots, 2 the ammo boxes are not giving ammo the way they should be, it looks like they are giving full ammo to both weapons, in reality it should be half ammo, forerunner should only get 4 shots anyway but even more so when running double special it should be giving 4 to forerunner and 1 to the fusion, and if forerunner only got 4 like it should then the boxes would give 2-1.

Ngl man, it’s okay to have opinions on things. Most of the time I don’t think developers should listen to top 1% players about game balancing. But in this scenario I am almost 100% positive you did not go flawless BECAUSE of the special ammo changes. Unless you’re saying you were only using special ammo the whole time and you were carrying your team (which if it was your second flawless ever would be equally as absurd). I have no clue how good of a player you are, but sometimes people get lucky and have the better team for 7 in a row. Congrats on ur flawless, and I’m not trying to take anything away from you. I love helping new players go flawless and I love seeing new players enjoying trials and going flawless. I am glad bungie has made changes to mercy cards and what not to make it easier for everyone to go flawless. But plz don’t attribute the achievement to the special changes. Because you said you only have 2 flawless, I’m telling you rn you have no idea how unhealthy this amount of special is and the fact that people can effectively run two special weapons all the time in every game. I got flawless over 10 times in cauldron( i hate cauldron ) playing vs 2kd+ players every 3rd game and this weekend playing on an Alt trying to get some loot i get farmed by Legit lifetime 0.8s because I don have forerunner on my alt. Whoever made this has to be at best a 0.4 kd player.
This trials is cancer to any person who has an once of competition play style, i literally all week so far have been fusion Mained to death with a izunagi on the side, no actual primary gameplay is available at all

I agree too but i still prefer the special regeneration gamemode if they were to bring this back every now and again it would be better if when you have double special its halved so jake would have had 1 fusion and 4 forerunner shots even thought it doesn't matter if you get two special bricks but it will make it a bit harder for double special users.

Yup in the TWAB they said “mid-life” so it doesn’t work between rounds
