Ronnie made Marlon genuinely laugh during that whole interview. For an aspiring comedian, I think he did ok. 😉
Ronnie was saying the right things. Inside information, a lot of very clever call backs to his work that the audience might not have gotten.
“Aspiring” comedian ?? This guy has specials and is an actual comedian.. look him up
@@MelanieM1776I thought the same thing when I first saw the comment, but then I heard Ronnie refer to himself as an aspiring comic.
Ronnie got more than 5 years experience... He's not aspiring
@@desertstar223 don't you guys realize he's just repeating the joke Ronnie said about himself in the video? Did you even watch it?
Wait, he’s 51! When they talked about his age, I had to google it. Was not expecting that
Yeah Ronnie is in his 30s still while Marlon is in his 50’s…that’s why Ronnie can say he literally grew up watching Marlon, and why he can say that Marlon has been around long enough to literally see technology and platforms change.
Ronnie's strength bar none on the Daily Show is injecting humor into his interviews. No awe, no kissing up, just straight up funny and I appreciate that.
The quick smile after "I'm an aspiring comic myself..." was like "That was a joke. A professional joke. Just to illustrate the point. Thank you... thank you."
👍. Always appreciated Ronnie.
Both Ronnie and Trevor have that foreigner humility that endears them to Americans. We are so used to protruding overconfidence that a bit of humility is refreshing. And also, its cuz they realize that they may always been seen as foreigners or guests
Ronnie is a whole vibe .
I always know he's going to be angry about something and make it hilarious
I started doing Stand-up in August of 2016, and did it until Covid killed clubs for a bit. Then my sister died of cancer May 13th, 2022, and I didn't feel or thing funny for a while. I needed this inspiration. Thank you.
The Wayans family doesn't get enough credit.. The Super Bowl Halftime show, Jim Carrey, JLo all stem from the Wayans.
Major Payne is the movie. My brothers and I would watch it over & over for 3 quotes.
Wayan family is legendary
Love the wayans miss in living color. This kinds hits home my momma passed February 8th 2024 today was the first time I listened to her voicemails on my phone brought back how much I miss her and how far ive came in just a few months an grown. Ill always miss her until im back with her n dad but thats yrs away.
Miss In living Color. Wish there was something like it now
So sorry for your loss. I was just thinking about having the strength to listen to my dad's voice mails.thank you and blessings. It's so hard to lose a parent.❤
My brothers came to figure out what to do with the things mom left behind. I think my heart broke when one of them decided, despite not living here, that the messages needed deleting and the outgoing one changed. Mom's voice was gone before I could blink.
IF RONNY AND WAYANS DON'T
make a movie Together-....... what are we Living For - Don't be a Menace 2 !!!!!! Please
INCLUDE ROY WOOD JR. !!! FUNNY IS BEST ! ❤
@@Lavonne-u2tindeed i love the shout out to Roy!!
Marlon Wayans is the most slept on comedian of all time. A masterpiece that should have been given way more roles. We would have been better for it.
I didn't think about it till this comment but straight up fact right here. he was raw in a lot of comedies but he's sentimental and intelligent and has some insightful stuff. honestly it's nice to see him in interview bc you really get to see the depth of his true character
@@theoryofunrelativityagreed! I loved his tv shows too. Used to watch it with my wife and kids and the kids would laugh even as toddlers, at the physical comedy, while the adults would laugh at hidden jokes. It was genius. As a entire family we had hoped there would be more seasons
Ugh that was such a delightful conversation! They both had me rollin fr … there were digs from deep respect all the way through, I felt. I’m proud of how Ive seen them both grow🙌🏾 as comedians and men!
Ronnie's the best interviewer..
He should have that spot at the desk
being able to make fun of yourself is true comedy, everything else is just a perspective observation(with a twist).
I know it's a bit problematic but I love White Chick's.
Normally I don't like these type of movies but was persuaded and it took me by surprise. Was laughing so much I almost shocked.
I watched it!
Cried with and for him.
Blessings MARLON.
I would be star struck if I see Marlon Wayans in front of me.
Ronnie's right, Scary Movie was big hit in Malaysia. I love Marlon's character Shorty. He's a legend.
The Wayans family has provided an immense amount of joy in my life, and just knowing they did it for the laugh, for the moment, for themselves AND for me, that is a connecting thing. These are comedians who are capable of being funny without being cruel, or flat ignorant, or anything that would be less-than the artform they were representing. As a young white dude growing up, having all this BS pushed on you from the outer world, the Wayans comedy character really broke through, really changed me as a person. Love this, love yall.
RONNY! Don't make the guest pander for a plug! That was a faux pas!
I would definitely love Marlon coming back to host from time to time.
Great interview! Marlon made an interesting point about evolving his comedy to a point where he could talk about tragedy and that was more meaningful to him as a comic. Using his pain as his own source material. It was a really interesting contrast to this round table I saw of mainly POC women comedies who always felt they were expected to bring their hardship or personal stories to everything they do and how they wanted to get to a point where they could do projects that weren't reflections of their own life and or hardships.
Love both these comedians and actors. ❤😊🎉
I can’t wait to see where Ronnie goes. He’s gonna have a great future- so funny.
his macy gray parody will live in eternity.
This hits a little harder than I think it should.
The in living color was a favorite show of mine. The fly girls dancing, the comedy about social issues, the camaraderie. The totality of the show was inspiring.
Thank you for sharing your story.
Delightful interview.
As being a non- native speaker to understand the joke was hard for me without using subtitle, but I watched it without using it. The humor given on the video was unbelievable to accept like me to understand, but I did it watching 3 times.
1:09 Ooooo Nepo Baby is nasty werk! 😆 He slid that in so quick. 😂
Marlon is a legend. Still loved him on requiem and all the recent comedy specials. Ronny is awesome, as always. I think he deserves a serious consideration to be a full time host whenever Jon isn't on.
love the Wayans'
Ronnie cheng is so funny yall dont even know
He spent a few years here in Australia, after Malaysia; love the guy. 😄
This was hilarious 😂😂😂😂
I love this speech by Marlon about success.
So stand-up comedy is a type of therapy?
I appreciate this guy's authentiuc answers, MW. Sign me up for the Wayans training.
Marlon just described what it was that made Richard Pryor a great stand up comedian, possibly the greatest of time, we'll have to wait till the end of time to see if that holds true but for now he still reigns and that's because more than any other everything he gave us was of himself, it was all personal.
Nice to see Marlon is Still Healthy and Alive 🙏🏿💯🇨🇦✌🏿🌟🎉
I love how Ronnie was just joking and forgot he was host but Marlon picked up the baton and did his own promo at the end. Wayan! it could mean anything depending where you're from
I watched it it made my teared up and laugh
Ronnie was fanboying Marlon.
Great comedian- Miss you Marlon! #InLivingColor #ScaryMovie
I'm gping to get grief for this but my first knowledge of the wayans family was Damon in Earth girls are easy ( I was 10 and didn't know any better!). After that I saw them all in bits and bobs (sitcoms and films) but they never really hit it big over here which is a shame. May have to look for the special online....
😂
no grief here...I think the same .
I just texted my mom
You've got decades if not centuries of comics... How old is he?😂😂😂
If you can’t laugh about it, they’ve won.
Can I just say for a moment that I love Marlon‘s sense of style.
Yoooo Ronnie speaks a lot about Malaysia here wohoooo!!! Yasss abang Ronny!!
ALL LOVE MARLOOOOOOOOON 🔉💯💪🏿
Great interview! But…tried to watch his new standup, and it was far too religious for me. Not that funny (to me), either. 🤷♀️
ronny
Growing up watching 'In Living Color' was the greatest
Didn't Marlon play Marjory Taylor green in White chicks?
It's very nice to see you doing/looking well Marlon. I wish the best for you 👍🏽
NICE work, Ronnie! 👌
I think this was a Horrible Wayans Show to talk about People I saw this show and it was Terrible and Disgusting.
I would not pay One Dime to see this Show and all the Celebrities he Talked about Living or Dead and Aging was Just Disturbing who Promoted This and these PPL he talked should never ever speak with this Man. He Just In My Opinion Embarrassed the Wayans Family which is So Sad 😭 😢😟.
Ronnie is the better comedian...hands down 😉
Kool Kat!
Very quick equals very funny
He’s an Ally and I love him for it 🏳️🌈
haha no nepo babies here. while ultimately funny is a great advice in a way....espeically because the business is so harsh .
Love the wayans
Greetings from Bali Bli Wayans!

🤣🤣🤣🤣
😎👍
Johnny SLOW DOWN. CALM. relax... too hyper. Funny guy, bad host. He's better in small segments
Watch Afterlife!! Ricky Gervais is amazing in it.
I don't know if Ronnie was extra nervous today or what, but he was using a whole lot of verbal crutches, and it made the beginning of the interview rough. By the end, it all worked out, though.
As a comic please make your act authentic. Not a "representation" of your community but you present it as your own experience.
If that isn't cultural appropriation I don't know what is.
Wow, I have not seen Marlon in a very long time.
I agree with a comment below, Marlon should of been given more movie roles.
Rciky did After Life. Not original.
Does Ronnie has a slight stutter or was he just nervous around Marlon? lol
Watch "In Living Color".
0:27 really legend ❤❤❤
Dudes a comic legend

Wayans trying to explain how they aren't nepo babies because they're hard workers, after self professedly being from a family who has lots of major people in entertainment... wow, that was cringe.

Must be tough being a nepo baby that had every chance the rest of us would only dream of. Such a hard life.
MARLON FORGOT HAIR TRANSPLANT HIS HAIR ON HIS CROWN
Too bad he made too many mistakes in the past....
