Other way around. You have to measure at the top. I measured from the bracket location first and it was waaaaay too wide at the top. This one was still too big. But I cut it down to fit
Incorrect sir. I’ve owned over over 30 boats. You measure at the mounting brackets… just search google. Source is google =After determining where the pivotal mount location will be on each side, measure the distance between these mounting points to determine the width of the top needed. To find the desired height, measure straight up from the pivotal mounting point while standing inside the boat
@@GearsAndTechyou don’t bend the top to make it fit. It should slide right into the brackets. Not force them and drill holes into them so the bolts go it.

Thats the stupidest thing ive ever seen on that type of boat. A few pieces of aluminum riveted to the bar you have already and then add some material would of been way cheaper and looked way better.
OMG I have never laughed so freaking hard hearing him mispronounce bimini. Bimeenee lmao. Oh and those things you measured for your top aren't towers.. They are gunnels, also known as gunwales. Bimeenee OMG. It's pronounced bi·muh.nee look it up. LMFAO.
Um, no one is going to point out that it’s mounted backwards
Had to mount it backwards so it folds up properly.
I put the top on facing forwards though
It definitely is backwards 😆
Got mine as an Amazon package deal with my 14 foot Bris inflatable. Love it. Works great no matter how you say it.
Great to hear!
Tomato / Tomato right!?
Is the fitting that hold the main pole to the support pole adjustable? Can it be loosen and slide up and down?
It's riveted on in place. You could drill it out, but it's not designed to
@GearsAndTech that was very helpful. Thanks.
Did your speakers come with your boat or are they also available on Amazon?
They came with the boat.
Amazon do have different options, but marketplace locally works well too
Hello. What is your opinion on the actual quality of the cover? I want to mount something like this on the tubes of my inflatable.
The cover seems to be good enough quality
Gotcha, I’m about to try the same thing with the same setup. I hope it’ll fit with the rear upright. Thanks for the vid👍
No problem 👍 as long as you get a narrow enough one you'll be fine. I just went for a much wider one than I should have so I got more shade area
Don’t you have the top on backwards? The front is supposed to be a strap, and the back is supposed to be the bar. Just a fyi
It didn't fit the other way around for folding it up. If I got a skinnier one it would have been different.
I used one off of Amazon for cheep also. But I custom built to fit on my tower and over it works great.
I looked at making this go on my tower, but it seemed to work find mounting it right on the boat, so I left it that way
You went over the tower? That’s cool, can you post a pic?
What’s a “Baneemee top”
Bameeenie
What’s a bameenie top. It’s pronounced Bih-mih-knee like the island, not bameenie. 😂
great info. Thanks.
Glad it was helpful!
What kind of top?😂
Dude you are killing.💀🤣

Should have looked up how to say Bimini. Perfect example of a credit card captain.
Nah, difference in location. Up here in Canada we obviously say it correctly. It just sounds different.
How do you pronounce it? I’m from Canada too. I thought it sounded normal.
@@raygos17bim-min-ee
Bim in E, I didn't care. Just wanted to see if he enjoyed it or not.
You are saying bimini top so weird its making my dog bark... im redoing a old fiberglass boat got the cheap bi-min-nee_nee top also.. thanks for video
Do you really say the two 'nee nee' like that?
No sir i was trying to spell how you said it... in the south with pronounce it like.. bim- eh- ni
why did you install it wrong way ???
I had no choice, it wouldn't fold up due to it being so much wider
honest answer @@GearsAndTech 👍 i had mine from amazon too ke mi moto , but 2 of them broke apart at 30km/h at Simcoe lake .
What is this guy calling this top
Bimini
Bimini Top
lol drives me crazy, please pronounce it correctly
Bemeany.
Amazon is the goat
It’s pronounced bee-me-knee not be mini fyi. And you purchased the wrong width. You measure at the bracket mount location not at the top of the roof.

I looked at making my own, but it would have costed more than just buying a prebuilt one
