  • Take a bicycle ride on the Katy Trail. The Katy Trail State Park is a state park in the U.S. state of Missouri that contains the Katy Trail, the country's longest recreational rail trail. It runs 240 miles, largely along the northern bank of the Missouri River, in the right-of-way of the former Missouri-Kansas-Texas Railroad.

I'm planning to ride Katy Trail myself solo too. Interesting tradition that people ring the bell when starting or finishing trail. 👍

It’s a great ride. I enjoyed the trail and scenery. The weather was great too, maybe got a little warm but all good overall. The bell was there, so I rang it😁 Cheers and happy adventures, friend! I always enjoy your videos! Keep on!👍🏼

Amazing video! Can't believe it only has 40 likes so far, beautifully shot and edited, I usually like a little narration but this worked very well. I keep wondering how bad the heat/humidity will be... Thanks for taking the time to make such a great video.

@@Iliketoadventure Thanks - Curius where you stayed in Pilot Grove - we stayed there in June with Jerry at the Katy Junction. I am going to try to do this route in 3 days in October - My first day will also be Clinton to Pilot Grove. Who were the bike shuttle services you used in St. Charles? the far east part of the trail is where I am least familiar. By the way - I am from Southern Illinois (Wayne County - East of Mt. Vernon)

@@eldonsmith7807 Sounds awesome about your ride in October! I also stayed at Jerry's Katy Junction B&B. He was a great host. The bike shuttle I used in St. Charles was from the Bike Stop Cafe. Delicious food and friendly, great shuttle service. They drove me to the Amtrak station in Washington. Have you ever rode the Tunnel Hill State Trail through Shawnee National Park? It's a lovely trail, beautiful ride!

Good question! I’m flying it while riding!😁 At times, I also activate the auto tracking and it follows me without having to control it. Drone technology is amazing these days! I’m still learning as I go but it’s a great way to capture the beauty of an adventure. I was using the DJI Air2S. It worked amazingly-was quite impressed with it! Are you looking into drones? Doing any adventures? Cheers!👍🏼

Cheers, thanks for watching and adding a positive comment. That’s great you also got to enjoy a solo ride along the Katy! I did the trip in 4 days. I went the lodging route on this trip- A b&b in Pilot Grove, hotel in Jefferson City, a bike bunkhouse in Marthasville, and a hotel in St.Charles. It was awesome. How about your trip? No camping this trip but still a fabulous adventure! Any rides planned in your future? All the best 😎🤙🏼🚲
