Sweet! Just fixing mine now. Took the engine apart (which is a pain in the ass, especially this truck) and I had my pistons resized and am currently about to put it back together and replace the timing chain. Can't wait to get it rolling.
Thanks for the upload! cant wait to see that 5.3 go in. I would like to do a swap in my colorado, I've had it for about 6 years, just got some parts in, hoping to make some videos of mine when working on it.
Nice truck. son has a 2005 Base Canyon, and want to do a few upgrades on it. Just finished the stereo upgrade now to look at some other mods. His is the 2.8 and gets worse gas mileage than my 2012 Grand Sport. Interesting how the engine install went. That should definitely give it a ton of pep!
Wow that is nice man! I have a black 04 zq8 crew cab with a 3.5L just like that but mine has over 280k miles on it. It also has manual locks and window cranks... other than that the interior is the same. I haven't done any mods to it.
Another question if you don’t mind, street scene calls the gen 1 and gen 2 bumpers bumper covers, are they actually a cover over the stock bumper or do they replace it?
I have a supper 44 flowmaster sounds great lots of compliments... BUT... The drone sucks.. around town with radio up with my subs not bad.. I drove it from socal to wa and fuck that
Im about to buy a colorado & looking at diff drops. The kit you have on it, does belltech sale the whole kit that you have or did you piece it together? I talked to someone that did a 3/4 drop & they just did springs in front & blocks in rear, im curious if i need to buy coil overs & control arms like you did or just do springs
The front is two different kits, DJM control arms and bell tech coilovers. The rear is bell tech 3 inch leafs, and I think the blocks are 1 inch bell techs. It’s been a long time.
Honestly really depends on your tastes. 20s are the biggest I’d go without looking to big and still having decent size tires on them. For the drop I’d go with coil overs (gives you good adjustment) and control arms, the rear drop leafs and maybe a 1inch block. But there really so many options depending what you want and your budget.
Hard for me to say on the 4 inch blocks, as I’ve never ran more than a 1 inch block, but have drop leaf springs with them. I’ve never had an issue with my DJM control arms, though some said they have. There are a few Colorado/canyon Facebook groups, as well as www.355nation.net that you can search and ask on.
Super nice truck. I always see it on the forums. Im sure you have the low pro cross member too right? Im getting that ready to finally put on my zq8 after being 3/4 drop for a few years now lol

Thank you, I recently updated to the leather seats 😉
Where do I find the body kit part right behind the back wheel

You remove the lower plastic piece of the bumper, and the bumper cover slips over the original metal one.
@@GeedsGarage oh ok, thank you, makes more sense then how i was thinking It would go lol
How bad would the 2.9 sound with that exhaust? Just wondering because I have the 4 cylinder and wanted to do something with it

What front grille is that ?
GMC Canyon Grill shell with a Street Scene Grill mesh.
How do you open the fuel door with it shaved like that?
Push popper, which I think came from a BMW.
@@GeedsGarage ok thank you
Welcome
What size drop do you have on it
I think the front is roughly around 4 or so (coil overs, plus 3 inch control arm drop), and 4 inches in the back.

It’s really all up to you, control arms allow you to retain the factory ride quality and the coil overs give you more adjustability.
Could i do djm controls arms with 3"drop springs instead of coilovers? Jw
I have a 2008 single cab and it has regular work stock rims and I want to change them and drop it would you recommend a specific size and drop ?

Just here to ask a question since your really the only guy I know who owns a droped colorodo do you think a 3/4 djm complete kit is worth it ?

Hi what are the rims size and brand
20 inch OEM Chevy Silverado SS wheels, which required the hub bore to be machined to fit the Colorado hub.
Super nice truck. I always see it on the forums. Im sure you have the low pro cross member too right? Im getting that ready to finally put on my zq8 after being 3/4 drop for a few years now lol
Gerardo Oliva I have one but it's not on the truck yet.
You got the JTR one too?
Gerardo Oliva nope mine was from clean cut creations. Was one of the first.
What is your set up for your suspensions?
Front is DJM control arms, with Belltech coil overs, rear is Belltech drop leafs and 1 inch drop springs.
