My idol!! during my golfing days my instructor would regularly reference Curtis and his set up and so onI would model all his swing keys, I now have not played golf for 25 years, still thing have Nike golf shoes, great memories..
As a fan of Curtis since the early eighties thanks for posting this. If the PGA Tour was Hollywood Curtis would play Clint Eastwood parts. An intense grinder who wore the game on his sleeves, said what he thought and it was a joy to have watched him all those years back.
I’m sure there is a 2nd video for the back to back US Opens so I will save my full comment for that. I remember being happy for him. I liked his simple swing that could be copied by just about anyone with the right amount of work. He seemed wound pretty tight and was known as kind of a jerk. To be continued.
If this is the kind of player Woods was going up against at the time it figures Tiger became the GOAT. He opened our eyes to what an actual athlete would look like playing 🤣🤣🤣
Curtis is an American legend. Two US Opens - well done sir.
watched every minute of both of those victories live. Excellent Mr. Strange !
I connected to Curtis at age 12 and this open especially. It was a grind and awesome. This championship turned me onto golf. Thank you Mr. Strange.

Curtis Strange , one of the greatest iron players ever, smart and tough, a class guy, and true champion.
Curtis! I always held a soft spot for guys who got it done in the 18-hole playoff. Mano a mano with Sir Nick at The Country Club.
Back to back US Opens is an amazing accomplishment. That’s a very small club and extremely hard to join.
Great story!
How did he get away with that swaying swing/

nothing good to say about this guy
Home crowd advantage ,neutral territory Faldo would have won easily
Curtis strange a rude man he is mediocre. That’s why he won in 1988
Seems like you had the learning to do, not Tiger.
