Ah, so it's channel 4 that really brings out the genesis twang in this soundtrack, nice
Also it uses fm drums nice
I guess the composer didn't know she could use samples in one channel? Those FM drums are still incredible especially that snare
@@TankMarko They definitely knew; it was pretty standard. But FM drums give their own unique sound, and they're much cleaner (since they don't have the cycle stalling problem that DAC drums have)

This video is an absolute treat. Love how each Channel is isolated so that each part can be heard alone, and then layer them back together to show how the magic happens.

The Genesis sound chip just had this sort of hollow, resonant quality, with splashy percussion and highs that sound like tinkling glass. Seeing it broken down like this is beautiful.

Man, Channel 2 sounds so surprisingly different to the main melody it reflects, its really neat!

channel 0 and 1 are so memorable i think about that melody like once a day
It's crazy to me how complete the intro of 4:04 feels compared to 3:17 when the only thing that got added was an echo to the main melody.

Awesome Ost but damn doesn't make close to full use of the sound chip. What could have been with a 6th FM, or PCM and PSG added? An even better Ost.
