What made me upset more than anything was how they handled Demetri. They took everything good about him and threw it out the window. He just became season 1 Demetri again. From not being able to forgive hawk, giving up way too quickly even for him, and doing something that could be considered cheating. He is the perfect Miyagi do student, a very compassionate character after forgiving hawk for breaking his arm and the last person I’d expect to cheat. Seriously there was so much they could do with him and they didn’t.
I want there to be a moment where the kids don’t care about Kwon’s death, and Chosen is the one to teach them that Kwon was just like him as a kid. Only this time rather than being humbled through humiliation, his punishment was death. So he would tell off the kids and explain that they should be mourning the fact that Kwon can’t redeem himself anymore. That way chosen is being serious again.

If Daniel defeating Silver was the end of the series that would’ve been great. Having him finally defeat silver and then silver comes back as the main villain again the next season? Feels like bad writing
@ Terry is the villain that the other villain is going to team up with the heroes to put down. Wolf works for Terry. Terry Silver is the emperor Palpatine of cobra Kai
@@JumpingJiraffe I don’t remember emperor Palpatine being a scrawny man embedded with fear and manipulated for decades by a dude that saved him but you do you…I will say kreese is a far scummier human than terry.
@ the point is silver is the one pulling the strings and Kreese (Atleast for the first 5 seasons) was setup as the Darth Vader who works for Palpatine but betrays him for redemption. It’s not a 1:1 comparison otherwise it’d be plagiarism but during most of the continuity Silver owns Cobra Kai and manages it from the back ground while Kreese is his enforcer that actually does the dirty work of the day to day sensei role.
@@JumpingJiraffe In season 4 kreese was definitely not an enforcer and acted as he was in charge (which he was until the last episode) so I don’t know seems like kreese had his claws in terry, I mean they mention it multiple times that kreese was the only thing keeping that guy in check. I think we overrate terry in how big force he is, I get he’s rich and stuff but the man has been controlled for his whole life from his “dad” to his “captain” and “kreese” so I’ve always seen Kreese as the emperor from cobra Kai, and Terry as the enforcer until the last episode of S4.
Honestly the more I think about the last couple seasons, the more I realize how messy they are. I also hate how goofy the show has become, it just takes away the essence of what made Karate Kid so great.
@ the first karate kid does have has aspects where you have to suspend ur disbelief, but it still felt somewhat grounded in reality. As for karate kid 2 and 3 ur not necessarily wrong, but honestly I’m not a big fan of those movies.
I hated how they handled Chozen. I want the characters to dedicate themselves to who they are. I want them to go all in. Tory fully embraces Cobra Kai with no conflict, Miguel and Robby embrace being the leaders with no conflict, Johnny and Daniel get along. I wanted this season to be more action less drama.
I agree some of the characters were changed for the sake of drama. Like the one I noticed the most was Demetri who is completely different than season 5 and it annoys me so much.
@ seriously he’s my second favorite character and I feel the just made him a problem because they had no clue what to do with him. I sat down and thought of a story I would have rather seen done with him.
@@maxkelley2003 I mean if they really needed to they could have paired Demetri with Chozen and have Demetri try to help chozen. Plus I don’t Demetri would do something that could be considered cheating it was so out of character. So I would have made it where he didn’t cheat but maybe she thought he did and the two broken hearts Demetri and chozen would help one another.
I love this show, but the recent 2 or 3 seasons have reminded me a little too much of Power Rangers. That single-shot brawl in the school was such a success, they seem to think they need one every season, and this recent one was just too much. I also didn't like the Miyagi AI dream sequence, and I hope the mystery about Miyagi resolves by restoring his hero status. I really hope they don't 'complicate' him like they did with Luke Skywalker.
Yeah. I mean, I get that they wanted to show that Mr. Miyagi wasn’t a perfect person, but now, it’s getting to the point where they’re just gaslighting him. What’s next? Saying that he was an enforcer for the mob?
@Kayoss13212 i bet that they will find out Myiagi had a brother or something, cause on the scorecard it just said Myiagi it didn't say N. Myiagi and the fake id in the box. I doubt they would just destroy myiagis character for no reason
@@Kayoss13212 Personally, I never thought he was perfect. He suffered his own losses, made his own mistakes. They didn't need to poke and prod his past. I think, they did it just for drama's sake but it was unnecessary and it took away too much focus from other plot points.
I hate that the point of karate in this world is to avoid fights but there is sooooooo much fighting for no reason and how many times do Daniel and Jonny need to learn that they need to work together. It just got a little too slapstick.
Blood in, Blood out might just be my favourite episode in the entire show. I was born in 92 so I grew up watching a lot films on video including Star Wars, Alien, Predator, Starship Troopers, Indiana Jones, but I never got into the classic 80's films like Ghostbusters, Back to the Future and the Karate Kid, so when i came across Cobra Kai on Netflix before season 3 released I decided to just watch it and that first episode had me hooked, i still believe it is one of the best pilots of a show that I've seen, it told me everything that I needed to know about the characters and the history of the world while clearly telling its own story and blatant callbacks but since I've witnessed the horrors of the sequel trilogy I can tell the difference between sincere and cashgrab. Season 1 is pure nostalgia and I've loved the journey every season since, it escalated, it developed characters, it has been entertaining and satisfying in a way you just don't in media these days. I'm gonna be pretty depressed when its over, i just hope they continue the stories in years to come with films or shows about characters like Robby, Miguel, Hawk, Kenny, Chosen etc. My dream would be adult versions of the characters fighting in a blood sport/tekken esque tournament.
even though i love the series, the cobra kai fanbase that hasn’t watched the original movies can be really toxic. they show so much disrespect toward daniel, miyagi, and miyagi-do, while constantly praising johnny and cobra kai-it’s insane! also, the writing could use some improvement. the daniel and johnny rivalry has been repeated too many times. still, i’m excited for the final episodes and especially karate kid: legends :)
I’ve seen the Karate Kid series before Cobra Kai, but there’s nothing that can hide the amount of glazing Daniel has towards Mr Miyagi. I know Miyagi is essentially Daniel’s father, but everything Daniel does in the name of Miyagi are things Mr. Miyagi’s character wouldn’t. But I honestly think Kwon’s death is going to help Daniel finally understand Miyagi. There’s a reason why there’s disrespect towards Daniel.
@@katherinemayers6733 nah Daniel is a glazer. Man would suck Miyagi off if he could. I don’t live in nostalgia from the 80s and 90s even though I was born in the 80s. I call it out how I see it.
Fully agree with this review, this part was good but some decision were questionable. What I didnt like is how they advertised kwon then the whole season they show he only beats robby due to robby not being focused. Then we have silver who struggles to beat kreese without cheating hand to hand where he literally destroyed johnny and daniel who are above kreese. Then randomly johnny beats silver after💀
@@nmz3450 the main cast also seem in general to be out of shape, I've seen better performance on their martial skills. If it wasn't for the new real martial artists they've added, the caption in front of the lights to cover some of the movements wasn't enough. I know this is a minor issue for those who are not into martial arts but...
@miguelferrazcosta yeah I mean Cobra Kai has never been great for fight choreography, but it's meant to be a bit of fun and it's supposed to show growth and change in each character's personality, but this last season has been a disgrace, wiping out any character development plus it makes seem like all Martial Artists are disrespectful thugs, only Larusso is a decent guy, all the other instructors are evil or thuggish
All final seasons feel rushed. The Mentalist, Breaking Bad, Lost, Sopranos.. It's your sentiment towards the show. You want so many answers that you don't realize some things don't need an explanation.
This is just a suggestion for you. With the series finale exactly one month from now. Right now or sometime at end of January (Jan. 20th) Would be the perfect time to start bench watching/ Rewatching the Entire series. Starting at the Very Beginning. Do 2-3 episodes a day. All the way towards where we left off with S6 E10. That way settled up for series finale and the feel of the entire journey with these characters from watching the entire way through at the finish line.
I stand by season 5 should have been the end. Silver lost, the main characters story arcs had been completed and it ended on a high. Season 6 is entertaining but it just doesn't feel right.
This show, while I have enjoyed it, has become like the Fast and Furious movie series. Its focused so much on trying to top the previous big moment that it has lost its plot and become a shell of what it once was. Also, all these adults involved who are sensei's, with the exception of Daniel, are just insane. Especially Kreese, Silver, and the lady cobra kai sensei.
The biggest disappointment was the Sekai Takai, as well as how every character associated with the main cast just miraculously overcomes their enemies unless they're "unbalanced". They spent about 10 episodes talking about how this is the greatest karate tournament, filled with the most elite fighters. Then, by episode 10, you have even Kenny and Devon - *Devon* - 2v1 Sekai Takai competitors like it was nothing. Why did the writers feel the need to play up the greatness of Sekai Takai if it was going to be such a farce in the end? Terrible storytelling.
I Mean My Complaints The Other Way Around I HATE How EVERY Team Seems To Be Better Than Everyone In Miyagi Do Despite Karate Being Their Literal Lives For The Last Half Decade. Like Cobra Kai I Could Kinda Understand With The New Team, The Grey/Silver Guys I Understand Seeing How Their Couch Trains Them But Why Is Everyone Else Also Better Than Miyagi Do? You Know The Dojo Of Kids Who Can’t Go A Few Days Without Starting A Massive Karate Brawl….
"Then, by episode 10, you have even Kenny and Devon - Devon - 2v1 Sekai Takai competitors like it was nothing." That's my favourite part and exactly what I wanted.
Can't wait for part three, which rumor is it's coming in February. I have confidence in the big 3 in the conclusion of the series. They'll adopt the Kreese "FINISH HIM " mentality and send the series off with authority.
The stage has gotten too grand to be honest. I feel like it’s missing the spirit of the original movies and earlier seasons. Sure they were heightened but they still had this down to earth feeling to it.
Although i was still entertained, I felt they tried to squeeze in too many plot lines into just 5 episodes. A lot of scenes did feel very rushed and unpolished because of that. I also thought that the brawl was just so random because it happened out of nowhere.
I've loved all 5 seasons up to this point, and while I don't think everything was perfect, overall, those 5 seasons have been a triumph. Only with season 6 did I finally start feeling a bit fatigued, but I've enjoyed the show so much up to this point, that I still want to see it through to the end.
Cobra Kai has fallen from grace in my opinion, I used to love it but for the past 2 seasons or so me and my friends are all gathered round watching it saying the same thing “it’s become repetitive high school cringe drama” we are just watching it for the o.g characters at this point. The show was at its best when it was Johnny trying to rebuild his life from rock bottom (I know he’s still on his arc but he’s clearly in a strong place atm)
There's way too many characters now for me and they've been introduced too late, I really feel like they should've been in season 5 so they could have their setup there then we go into S6 knowing what they're all about
The greatest thing about this part is that it is excellent because they finally introduce real martial artists who are also actors (Zara Malik (Rayna Vallandingham) was great!). I'm an OG fan, one of my most influential movies back in the day, and watching Cobra Kai since the first season on TH-cam RED. And yeah, nothing can beat those first 2 seasons, and this season, it seems to have so many fillers; I'm also missing the seriousness on this show, but it's fun. The second part of the second-last episode to the end seemed on the more serious side. The camera angles, temperature, and everything seemed so different; it was like having a different director on the show. I don't know if the digital replacement of Mr Myiagi was needed, but it is excellent to make the bridge close to the real younger actor who is playing him.
I wish we could’ve seen the Sekai Tekai on TV through the world’s perspective. We only saw it on TV through the Larusso house hold. Miguel’s mom could’ve saw it on TV at the hospital.
Good to see you back again I thought I was the only one who thought Johnny should not have beat Mike and Daniel shouldn't have beaten Silver. My biggest complaint is the writers have leaned too much into the comedy with Johnny to the point Johnny now comes off as an idiot man-child instead of the troubled hot head he was in Karate Kid. It's a good show and season 6 has been interesting, but it is a good thing they are ending the show as it would eventually descend into self parody.
As cool as it is seeing silver chozen etc i miss the simplicity of seasons 1 and 2 it was johnny lawrence redeeming himself ofc you have to have kreese and larusso because they were a part of johnnys story although there probably would only have been 4 seasons with no silver but it wouldn't be over the top
Johnny honesty should beat mike. Mike is rusty and has just recently started to use karate again while Johnny has been back in the game for 2 years now at this point. They obviously has to nerf mike cos he was clearly the strongest teen in the movies by a large margin, and if he kept up his training and had relative growth scaling he would be too strong.
I liked season 6 part 2 a lot, I appreciated that Miyagi-do's were written as the underdogs in this season and they had to struggle to improve their performance, because it shows that they are not as dominant as they think they are. They do train all year, but they only train for the All-Valley tournament, where the way the Sekai- Taikai is written for everyone else, the other dojo's train and compete in tournaments all around the world. Miyagi-Do hasn't faced that level of competition. I also liked that it wasn't just Miyagi-Do vs Cobra Kai, as in, they were above everyone in terms of skill level just because the plot is based around them, Miyagi-Do lost often and I was happy to root for them to make the comeback. This season also demonstrates the biggest flaw of Cobra Kai as a dojo, is how fractured they are, they don't trust anyone and their ego's are too big, Miyagi-do is about the teamwork, demonstrated greatly by that tag-team match, it was a lot of fun to watch. The additions of Zara and Axel were great because they forced everyone to step-up their game and brought a challenge to both Miyagi-do and Cobra Kai, it's like how the saying goes, "there's always someone out there who's bigger and better out there". Viewers may not have liked that Kwon was built up to be the new formidable force to reckon with and it turned out he got bested by Robby and Axel, that didn't bother me because he had a chip on his shoulder and his attitude got annoying after a while, it was great to see that be put in check at times. I'm glad there was less Johnny and Daniel this season, not because I don't like them as characters but because there's not much left to tell with them and their continued rivalry has been played out. I'm glad Miguel got them to come to their senses. Chozen, I have to admit was a bit to goofy this season, if it's possible the writers go back to stoic Chozen of season 3 and 4 would be great. This may be a controversial take but I liked Demetri this season, he seemed much more confident in his fighting abilities especially when he was fighting Yoon, he went right after him, no hesitation, unlike in season 4 when he fought Robby during the All-Valley. Was he pessimistic about Miyagi-Do doing well in the Sekai-Teikai? Yes, but he saw how everyone on the team fought back to get to there position in the tournament, and with Robby stepping up to lead the team in the Tag-Team round by tagging in Kenny, and Kenny winning for Miyagi-do, in the previous match. Demetri can trust Kenny which led them to ultimately winning. Lastly, I agree that Demetri put himself in a bad position by cheating on Yasmine but I think he knows that Yasmine could get another guy by tomorrow if she wanted to and made himself look bad by not taking accountability for it, but i can't blame him for looking at this as a vacation, he's in Spain as an 18 year old, and there's a lot of beautiful women around, he has a lot going for him besides karate, he's going to MIT. He has a bright future ahead of him. Let's not forget, he got his confidence through dating Yasmine, now he's getting attention from a girl his age at a bar from an exotic place such as Spain. I can't fault him for slipping up there. Overall, I enjoyed it a lot, I am starting to get annoyed with shows splitting seasons in half and making us wait, It happened with Cobra Kai and Stranger Things. it's time to put a limit on when to end shows, stop dragging it out. Honourable mention: the stuff with Axel and Sam was cute but it got weird with him being jealous of her and Miguel. The writers should of put in a line where Axel asks her, if she has a boyfriend and avoided the forced love triangle it was unnecessary.
I really have no idea on what they are going to do to resolve that ending this in 5 episodes. Also I don't know if it's just me but i really don't like how robbys relationships with his senseis are being discarded.
This was definitely a massive step up from part 1 but it definitely has its issues. After seeing part 1 I had little interest for tuning in for part 2. But after seeing part 2 I’m definitely way more interested in seeing where they take it with Part 3.
Jesus Christ is lord amen. John 3:16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son for that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting eternal life amen!
I’m still enjoying the show, it’s fun . But it feels more like a good Disney channel show with how cringe it can be at times (which isn’t 100% a shot, since Disney channel did used to have some good shows lol)
I agree with everything you said. It’s a good show now but not great. Chozen, I thought, was going to be a “Miyagi” type but they have made him too goofy.
OG fan here, I agree the first couple seasons were the best. While season 6 is OK, its lost its magic now.. i dont like how X is back... somehow... dont like the new old weird master (that looks out of a bad stereotype 1080 movie) and his daughter. Feels like the focus is lost and the writers aare just throwing weird stuff to make it stick.
I have a dream .. where the Big 3 were able to write the Star Wars sequel series…oh how amazing it is..with flushed out characters, plot points that matter and legacy characters treated with dignity and respect ….and then I wake up 🤦
To say you're the first Cobra Kai TH-camr, with all due respect, is a little incorrect. There were theory videos from other channels dating as far back as June of 2018, before your first upload in March of 2019.
I really enjoyed part 2 it felt like it delivered much better than part 1 because with first part it felt rushed or like parts where it felt useless or long like Kyle wasn’t much involved except for college fight apart from that nothing from Kyler or Brucks kyler has so much potential to return as better character to help his enemies now friends in tournament
I agree that Season 1-3 was the peak of the series, but I still thoroughly enjoyed seasons 4 and 5. I feel like the show has really lost it’s way in season 6. The writing is all over the place, most of the melodrama feels forced, many of the characters feel regressed, and the Sekai Taikai has been ridiculous from start to finish. The brawl at the end of episode 10 was a borderline jump the shark moment for me. I‘ll always love the series overall though, and I still have hope that the finale will be good.
Who is Terry’s Dad? Do we get to see Barnes again in the upcoming part 2? + is Hilary Swank making a return and are they going to close some of the loopholes we have questions too? Example: We still don’t know tori’s father.
I straight up LOVED this part of Season 6, and I'm hoping they'll finish strong! Part 1 felt super flimsy and weird, whereas this had me hooked from start to finish. :)
It's basically Power Rangers at this point, but I still love it. I think part 3 will have Miguel become the Cobra Kai captain under Johnny (with support from Daniel and Miyagi Do)
I just want to say, Daniel beating Silver made sense, here is why I think it did. When Silver beat Daniel, Daniel struck first, he was emotional and off balance, and let Silver get inside his head, all the things that went against Mr Miyagi's teaching. When Daniel beat Silver, Daniel was focused, balanced and he didn't strike first, not to mention Silver would of been worn out from fighting Chozen, plus Daniel used Silvers quicksilver method against Silver, which he wasn't expecting. It all makes sense.
I feel like it's normal that the stakes get higher, but the fact that the writing is very tailored around cliffhangers to fit the 3 part format kinda limits itself. The show is still amazing and it kinda progressed in a natural way, but now it's too much about waiting for pay off, rather than enjoy the ride compared to the first three seasons.
I'm still wondering if they'll do something with the scroll that Anthony found or if it was there for nothing. If you translate the text it's basically an attack where the user dies. I wish they did something with that.
Jesus Christ is lord amen. John 3:16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son for that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting eternal life amen!
I watched Karate Kid first even though I’m not from the 80s and I love cobra kai a bit more than the movies. I still don’t agree on your point regarding Daniel beating Silver but it could just be my bias since he’s my favorite
Demetri was poorly handled. He was trying to be a wannabe hawk, but failed drastically. Other than that, the bickering between Johnny and Daniel, and chozen getting drunk, no complaints. I'm also hoping we get to see Mike again and Julie Pierce in Part 3.
Yeah it’s hard to say because, we are only seeing part of 1 season at a time. These writers usually make what seems ridiculous at times come together in the end. So I’m banking on that. My hopes of seeing Hillary swank or anyone from “the next karate kid” have really dwindled. As far as legends, I’m a little sad that Macchio is the only OG in it. Like after all the cobra Kai, no one else is in it? Maybe some of the cast is being incorporated as a surprise? I don’t know. Like Daniel’s whole life and family are just off the grid here? We’ll see how it goes

@@realaustinfoust Yes, it has. But it won’t be connected in that way. Legends is very much its own thing. Both Ralph and the Cobra Kai creators have stated this. I truly doubt we’ll see anyone else from Cobra Kai in this film.. Remember, the Cobra Kai creators did NOT want this to happen, but SONY only sees money, and ultimately they have the rights to the franchise 🤷♂️ But make no mistake - they’re just suits who sees money. Cold fact is, that these universe’s were never meant to co-exist. The 2010 film is a straight-up REMAKE (exact same story) ROBBY even mentions JACKIE CHAN, by name, in Season 1 of Cobra Kai. It’s silly, that they’re forcing these universe’s together. Ralph is in there to sell tickets, nothing more. It won’t feel fully organic. More than likely it’ll feel manipulative and weird, simply cause of how the 2010 film was handled. As a life-long hardcore fan from the 80s, this does actually bother me. The movie might be fine in its own right, but still it won’t feel natural, in terms of existing within the same world as the TRUE Cobra Kai/Miyagiverse 🤷♂️ Ps. To start promoting this move BEFORE Cobra Kai has even finished, seems so wrong. ALL focus right now SHOULD be on promoting PART 3 of Season 6, and not a movie that takes place AFTER Season 6. Not to mention it doesn’t even premiere until 6 months from now 🤷♂️
Power scaling just don’t make sense to me- how Terry loses to Johnny when he bodies Johnny before, hawk loses to Kenny and is now just not good when he was originally up there with Miguel/Robby, the worst of all - they expect us tobelieve Johnny beats wolf, Miguel beats axel and Tory beats Zara ? That’s plot armour for the main characters, iron dragons already have fought them and won with ease other than Zara. So don’t make sense
Chozen has been my biggest disappointment the last two seasons. As well as the goofiness of the show recently. There are definitely some good moments in this season. It'll be interesting how they deal with Kwon's death and how they move on from it. I hope it's not taken lightly.
It should have ended at S5! Most of the characters have overstayed their welcome like Kreese and Chozen. season 6 has been fun so far… like that slice of pie you don’t need, but enjoy it nonetheless. The only thing that was extremely comical was that Daniel picked a lock with a bloody key ring!!! I mean… have you ever tried bending or opening one of those things??? I was surprised Daniel’s fingers weren’t covered in blood! Or that Daniel knew how to pick a lock!!!
Daniel beating Silver made sense, get over it. He was in full miyagi mode and he used quicksilver method against him. Silver was outmatched. And yeah s6 is bad
Still feels rush but I will say it so did part I and after watching part ii it smoothed part 1 for me. I am excited to see how it all ends and watching it as a whole. I really hate this Netflix model either release it all at once or do weekly drops.
They introduced Silver, he literally elevated the show so much… and now they want to make this the last season? This is sad. I wish that they would continue and dive deeper into Silver and kreese’s past. Focus a bit more on Daniel and Johnny. The kids are lowkey boring at this point with their petty drama
I like S6, but it feels like part 1 was just filler that could've been all done in one episode, & I think it speaks to the impact the writers' strike had on the show; I wonder if it would've been the standard 10 episode season if the strike hadn't happened, & how it would've changed the storyline. Maybe Netflix pushed for it, & if they did, if they needed filler, maybe they should've used the first batch, part 1, as profiles for the main dojos in the Sekai Taikai. Looks like there was so much effort put into each of the dojo patch & Gi designs, all for nothing.
“Cobra Kai season 6 part 2 review” you literally said a couple words about the part and than proceeded to talk about season 1 and 2 when those 2 can’t compare to 3,4 and 5 maybe 6
My problem with part 2 is that they hype axel and zara as the true big final villians that are above the rest in skill pretty early on. Yet for some reason, Cobra kai and kreese want to antagonise myagi do even tho they are not the big threat. Feels out of character for kreese and the cobra kai team. They only cared for iorn dragons once silver came yet kwon still trying to bully robby even tho axel is the biggest threat.
think there is an explaination to why silver have not been at his best in terms of fighting if u see the holywood reporter interview with thomas ian grifith it gives some explaination to why maybe he lost against daniel and johnny
If the leaks are true, then I’m very excited for part 3. If not, I feel like it will be disappointing. I agree there’s too many character arcs now when this show was really about Johnny and Miguel. I did like part 2. Didn’t care much for part 1.
Cobra Kai overtook Star Wars as my favorite thing in the world. I love season 1,2,3 and 4 I watched each season 5 times by now at least. Season 5 and 6 are a major letdown. it's so removed from what made this show great: teenagers finding these mentors and all the high school drama and politics that goes with it, teens learning confidence with karate on one side and others being bad after gaining strength all while adults are refinding themselves, processing through trauma. These earlier seasons balanced humor, nostalgia and emotional growth while these last 2 seasons feel like a hollow shell of what once made the show great. I mean just the buildup to Sekai Taikai and picking who will go was done so horribly that I was dissapointed more and more with each episode. Fan favorite characters like Hawk sidelinded and nerfed, Johnny and Daniel with their never ending bickering even though we already moved past it 30 times.... The show’s focus has shifted to an overcrowded cast and unnecessary subplots. Though there are still moments of humor and emotion (like Johnny’s sleepover with the girls) overall, Season 5 and 6 have turned into a goofy, watered down version of Cobra Kai, losing the charm and depth that made it such a standout in the first place.
I mean I’m sure he’ll post stuff for the movie , but ya he prob won’t be too active on this channel much besides the movie and unless their making another show (which I heard there was rumors that they was gunna make a show abt a younger Mr.Miyagi
This season so far and season 5 have felt quite rushed, big story points feel like they’ve been resolved so easily or just glossed over, the lack of depth has become apparent. Still enjoyable though, albeit frustrating.
Jesus Christ is lord amen. John 3:16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son for that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting eternal life amen!
I saw season 6 part2 I like how the introduced iron dragon has mega rivals of cobra Kai and more badass and axel v Miguel will happen sine in part 3 and I was in shock when known died maybe this affect Daniel after cobra Kai part 3 and karate kid legends
you're a 'little' late 😀 But yeah, season 6 licks balls. Season 5 should have been 5 episodes longer and stretched out Terry's loss (it was over too soon). *Season 5 should have ended with Kreese being revealed to have ACTUALLY been stabbed in prison and be on life support. He could have awoken at the beginning of season 6 to discover that he has been released following the arrest of Terry Silver. This would allow him to return as the big bad of the final season, seeing Kreese recruiting his old students and returning the show to its movie origins.* And ideally, Terry Silver would have recruited Dutch in prison as he's about to leave (obviously, we mighthave had to have a different actor, but who knows?)
It's meh. The same story all over again. The tournament format is absolutely stupid. Sure, it's parody blah blah, still stupid... Twists we've seen many times over (oh look, Tory is with Kreese again, surprise...). Maybe it's because I'm now 30 and my tolerance for teenage BS has gone down significantly, but more likely it just is bad now. Should have ended it a while ago now...
Season 5 was a drop off but still really good. Season 6 is unnecessary, messy, and ridiculous even for this show. Sadly this will go down as a show that went on for a season or two too long.
Jesus Christ is lord amen. John 3:16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son for that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting eternal life amen!
Yes chozen had enough funny moments

I've been waiting young skywalker
Yeah, i'll have to make a video on my thoughts regarding the entire show now. Thanks for waiting my lord
Hold on we still have part 3
If Daniel defeating Silver was the end of the series that would’ve been great. Having him finally defeat silver and then silver comes back as the main villain again the next season? Feels like bad writing
He isn’t the main villain he’s one of three. Kreese is the most prominent sensei wolf is working alongside terry but wolf is a bigger force.
Karate kids goofy tho especially 3
@ the first karate kid does have has aspects where you have to suspend ur disbelief, but it still felt somewhat grounded in reality. As for karate kid 2 and 3 ur not necessarily wrong, but honestly I’m not a big fan of those movies.
Even the early seasons had a lot of cheese 🧀 in them. I think having a bigger budget ultimately hurt the show because it got too big too fast.
@@apezcal432 I hate Demetri this season too and he was starting to grow on me in previous seasons
@ seriously he’s my second favorite character and I feel the just made him a problem because they had no clue what to do with him. I sat down and thought of a story I would have rather seen done with him.
Yeah they rushed with Chozen’s arc. Like how did he all of a sudden become better after being in such a bad state
@@maxkelley2003 I mean if they really needed to they could have paired Demetri with Chozen and have Demetri try to help chozen. Plus I don’t Demetri would do something that could be considered cheating it was so out of character. So I would have made it where he didn’t cheat but maybe she thought he did and the two broken hearts Demetri and chozen would help one another.
Cobra Kai be like if violence doesn't solve everything..... then you're not using enough of it.
And if you use too much of it you die
I have been waiting for this review 😭
Dude none of what you said happened
I’ve seen the Karate Kid series before Cobra Kai, but there’s nothing that can hide the amount of glazing Daniel has towards Mr Miyagi. I know Miyagi is essentially Daniel’s father, but everything Daniel does in the name of Miyagi are things Mr. Miyagi’s character wouldn’t. But I honestly think Kwon’s death is going to help Daniel finally understand Miyagi. There’s a reason why there’s disrespect towards Daniel.
@Kennyisdarkvanilla stop with this "glazing" bs 🤦♂️
@@katherinemayers6733 nah Daniel is a glazer. Man would suck Miyagi off if he could. I don’t live in nostalgia from the 80s and 90s even though I was born in the 80s. I call it out how I see it.
Fully agree with this review, this part was good but some decision were questionable. What I didnt like is how they advertised kwon then the whole season they show he only beats robby due to robby not being focused. Then we have silver who struggles to beat kreese without cheating hand to hand where he literally destroyed johnny and daniel who are above kreese. Then randomly johnny beats silver after💀
Love your videos man I’ve been waiting for you to upload for the longest glad your back
“Somehow Silver has returned” type writing with this part. Also not a fan of Miguel being 2nd fiddle to Robbie now. But here we are, still watching 😂
This whole season felt rushed to me.
Until the second part of the 4th episode and the last one. It really seems that had a different director after that.
It's a mess and that final battle royale just gives martial arts a bad name, completely ridiculous
Nah Season 6 has a good story and the best fights of the show
I loved Season 6 Pt 2, and I'm hoping it'll finish strong!!
I really didn't like season 5 felt like the series was dragging on but damn 6 really blew me away it's been one of the better seasons overall I think
@mianrowan Season 5 is actually my favorite so far, but if Season 6 ends well, it might become my most favorite. I dunno. 😊
Idk why so many people keep thinking that. There were still several storylines left to wrap up
This show, while I have enjoyed it, has become like the Fast and Furious movie series.
"Then, by episode 10, you have even Kenny and Devon - Devon - 2v1 Sekai Takai competitors like it was nothing."
That's my favourite part and exactly what I wanted.
Can't wait for part three, which rumor is it's coming in February. I have confidence in the big 3 in the conclusion of the series. They'll adopt the Kreese "FINISH HIM " mentality and send the series off with authority.
it was 30x better than part 1, idc
Cool! I agree with Chozen being a goofball since season 5, I enjoyed it but I think they used the wrong character for it.
Good to see you back again
I thought I was the only one who thought Johnny should not have beat Mike and Daniel shouldn't have beaten Silver.
I've loved this series but I rly hope they make longer episodes in part 3, bc it'll be bad if they're rushed
Make a video on what if kwon didn't die. Rather, what he had used the un dong jo blade on axol what would have happened and how would it end
I agree with everything you said. It’s a good show now but not great. Chozen, I thought, was going to be a “Miyagi” type but they have made him too goofy.
I agree, too goofy. I could see him having a sense of humour but more balanced.
Guys, c'mon, it's the last season and they're going out with a "bloodsport" Bang! Love the Miyagi flashbacks/dream sequences.
I love this season (mostly just part 2) but I can totally get why some people might feel otherwise
I have a dream .. where the Big 3 were able to write the Star Wars sequel series…oh how amazing it is..with flushed out characters, plot points that matter and legacy characters treated with dignity and respect ….and then I wake up 🤦
They have said them selves they would love to do Star Wars
To say you're the first Cobra Kai TH-camr, with all due respect, is a little incorrect. There were theory videos from other channels dating as far back as June of 2018, before your first upload in March of 2019.
He should have said one of the earliest
4 is better than 3 for sure.
Who is Terry’s Dad? Do we get to see Barnes again in the upcoming part 2? + is Hilary Swank making a return and are they going to close some of the loopholes we have questions too?
Example: We still don’t know tori’s father.
I'm not Crazy about the New jackie Chan movie but i'm with you on everything concerning Cobra Kai Bro
Jesus Christ is lord amen.

bro actually wathced it way later, even though people spoiled kwon died in the live stream
2:42 bless you master🥹
All I really care about is Miguel. They started the show with him. They should end it with him, he’s the main reason I fell in love with this show.
Yea and Colonel Dugan too!
Jesus Christ is lord amen.
John 3:16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son for that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting eternal life amen!
The final fight of the series should be Miguel Vs Robby part 2 at the All Valley. Finishing the series in Europe feels like a bad idea.
Jesus Christ is lord amen.
John 3:16 for god so loved the world that he gave his only begotten son for that whosoever believes in him shall not perish, but have everlasting eternal life amen!
I'm curious to see how they tie in Cobra Kai with Karate Kid Legends..
They don’t. That has already been confirmed. The movie is basically its own thing.
@ It’s been confirmed it takes place after Cobra Kai
The movie might be fine in its own right, but still it won’t feel natural, in terms of existing within the same world as the TRUE Cobra Kai/Miyagiverse 🤷♂️
Ps.
Maybe someday you and I can talk about my favorite character in cobra kai and the whole show
Chozen has been my biggest disappointment the last two seasons. As well as the goofiness of the show recently. There are definitely some good moments in this season. It'll be interesting how they deal with Kwon's death and how they move on from it. I hope it's not taken lightly.
the Shaolin Sunset is gonna be the move Miyagi used to kill his opponent....thats why its banned
Devon Lee is the best girl on cobra kai
Exactly!
Cobra kai is coming back in Part 3 babyy
Part 2 was just rushed. Like they left out so many scenes they were supposed to show. They need to go back and re-edit
I love thia season and can't wait for the movie in May😊
My problem with part 2 is that they hype axel and zara as the true big final villians that are above the rest in skill pretty early on.
Yeah I think season 5 Silver > S6 because he hasn't been teaching and he looked like he was in a bad place in that cage fight scene
I’ve seen Ralph Macchiato’s post on instagram, it’s sad I got into it just as it’s ending, does this mean the end of Cobra Kai Theory?
I mean I’m sure he’ll post stuff for the movie , but ya he prob won’t be too active on this channel much besides the movie and unless their making another show (which I heard there was rumors that they was gunna make a show abt a younger Mr.Miyagi
I like how chosen and Kim fall in love
It good to me season 6 part 2 was good just need lil more episodes or longer
This season so far and season 5 have felt quite rushed, big story points feel like they’ve been resolved so easily or just glossed over, the lack of depth has become apparent. Still enjoyable though, albeit frustrating.
its karate kid universe not everything is realstic
I loved tvis part man silver and dennis return was great to bad about snake
agreed people justw an t a grounded boring like season 1 and 2 was
The over the top fight scenes have gotten ridiculous. The last one was a turn-off, actually.
karate kid cobra kai allways been ove the top
I actually LOVED the final brawl. It was so ridiculous and large that I couldn't help but smile and enjoy it. The music was a huge help.
So you missed the cringe school fight in season 2? The house fight in season 3? Lol, they were definitely worse.
@bankvfx8887 I liked all of them. 😂
@@justalpha9138 Same tbh I was just making a point. The worse brawl one for me was season 5, the whole keep the hacking thing away was too silly
I agree many of the choices are a bit of a stretch.

Nice!
s1 is goated
I saw season 6 part2 I like how the introduced iron dragon has mega rivals of cobra Kai and more badass and axel v Miguel will happen sine in part 3 and I was in shock when known died maybe this affect Daniel after cobra Kai part 3 and karate kid legends
Part 3 comes out in Feburary
you're a 'little' late 😀 But yeah, season 6 licks balls.
This would allow him to return as the big bad of the final season, seeing Kreese recruiting his old students and returning the show to its movie origins.*
And ideally, Terry Silver would have recruited Dutch in prison as he's about to leave (obviously, we mighthave had to have a different actor, but who knows?)
I agree this whole tournament thing is stupid. I have zero interest in it.
I hate how they sortve turned Chozen into this comedic relief/goofy Asian character. They’ve gone a bit overboard with that.
Season 5 was a drop off but still really good. Season 6 is unnecessary, messy, and ridiculous even for this show. Sadly this will go down as a show that went on for a season or two too long.
Terry silver is my favourite character
❤️🔥❤️🔥
It's dropping in February not may lol

Zara 😍 we all know what’s coming, Tory beats Zara then does the “Zara kiss and wave” to her.
Season 6 Part 1 was trash, Part 2 was good and I’m hoping Part 3 will be a satisfying conclusion.
