Mr Irrelevant isn't embarrassing. Because the guy who made it said that it is Irrelevant to be drafted first or last its a blessing to be drafted at all.
It would honesty give everyone hope that gets drafted last, do not believe you are just there to be cut, work hard, that team is giving you a chance, when so many others do not get that chance.
Just like a Tomas Brady story...."😪 I was waiting for my named to be called, and I waited and waited, and I started feeling bad...so I picked up my baseball glove n bat. And took a walk😪😪. And then and then....my parents (or whoever) came running for me and and told me I was drafted😮" 😂😂😂 I'm paraphrasing, but that's the jist of it.
Agreed I bet there are several guys who would’ve been stars but never got the chance. If Lance and Jimmy G hadn’t gotten hurt who knows if Purdy would’ve played in time last picks often get cut quickly
I was at that Titans game. It was very close but not as close as people say. It got everyone super hyped. Guy was leaning out the side doing the trucker horn motion. Truly epic.
The all pro CB of the Cleveland Browns, Denzel Ward, has had 4 concussions in the last 3 years! His last one was in the last pre-season game against the Chiefs this year. (2023) Even though his loss would be a blow to the defense, I'm sure for his long term mental health he and his family and friends are trying to convince him that he has enough money and should retire at the end of 2023. Sadly for the team and fans I must agree.
So, just to get this straight, if 15 or more players on a single NFL team die, the league would let the affected team pick replacements from all the other 31 teams, and if enough die, the season is canceled for that team, and they get the first pick in the next draft. Sounds like a great idea! With the best of intentions! What could possibly go wrong? The movie script practically writes itself.
Pretty weird that you bring up Dempsey with half a foot as an interesting fact then fail to mention that this same guy held the longest field goal in the NFL for like 40 years. That would seem to be the most interesting fact - the guy w half a foot has longest FG for decades
There are certain facts that don't seem to get covered. At the time of his death Thomas family said that he had seizures and he died from a seizure. Whether or not that had anything to do with CTE is speculative. Aaron Hernandez didn't start acting erratic because of CTE. He was doing that in high school. In college he wanted to act like a gangster. He did that until he murdered people and got caught.
I was just about to comment about this. Thomas died of a seizure due to injuries he got in a car accident. It was found out later that he had stage two of CTE.
@@legendhazzit2277 da fuq does that have to do with a car accident? Kids and babies die in car crashes all the time. Their age doesn't change the cause of death
Realistically, the "Madden Curse" sounds less like an actual curse and more like indicator of the increasing dangers, that are attributed to a career in the NFL. This is especially evident in the last few minutes of the video, regarding injuries and early retirements, etc.
And what does the NFL do? They lengthen the season and add more Thursday and Saturday games, giving players less recovery time, while also eliminating the first-round playoff bye for everyone but the conference leader. They also continue to insist artificial turf is fine.
Agreed. Always thought the madden curse was a bunch of baloney because an actual curse would continue to afflict those involved until broken. It can’t be broken one year then come back the next
My uncle played for the colorado rams and his coach was that asshole that they made the movie about who forced players to play against doctor recommendations. The helmets were so old and shitty that he would make them use pieces of cut up gym mats as "padding". My uncle committed suicide after some years and in his goodbye letter he felt like a failure because he was being scouted by multiple nfl reps and didn't end up with the life he thought he would at all. CTE is real..and it's really tragic. I'm choosing not to type his name but I promise you every word I just said is true.
Most of those concussions come from the head hitting the ground and springing back up. In this day and age, sports science needs to come up with a workable solution soon to stop the head from hitting hard when they are knocked flat on their backs.
The Dallas Cowboys this year have a ton of guys with funny names. Schoonmaker, Odigizua, Tolbert, Turpin, Lamb, Overshown, Hendershot.....lol Omg. 😂 Sounds like a cast from Lord of the Rings.
I'm so surprised that those goal posts are so easy to topple. I mean, you'd figure they're made of steel and should hold the weight of 40 men. I guess not.
You mean when Mark Andrew's got illegally blocked in the back and didn't get the call the would've cost yall the game? Yeah all ravens fans remember that one. Just for yall to fucking lose to the bills. Bums. See ya tomorrow 1pm sharp.
at minute 7:00 they tried to humiliate Brock Purdy, and now he's the starting QB for the 49ers and has made history. Becoming "the 1st QB in NFL HISTORY to win each of his 6 career regular-season starts and throw 2+ TD passes in each start".! HOWS THAT FOR MR. IRRELEVANT!!! BANG BANG NINER GANG!!!!!
You say ripping the goal post out of the ground as if that’s rare I remember when Tennessee did that after beating bama last year they did that and carried it to a local river and threw it in
Ripping down a goalpost was an old trend fans would do usually if there team won a superbowl or in this case a championship. The trend ended a long time ago tho 😢
From what I have read in the past CTE could only be determined after the players were deceased. Is there a test they can do on players now to test for CTE?
The one in the beginning where the bills rip down the goal post, you should’ve seen Tennessee after they beat Alabama they ripped down the goalposts and threw it into the Tennessee river
AZ Cardinals fans ripped the goalpost out of the field when the Cards beat the Cowboys in an upset in 97. The carried the entire goalpost out of the stadium and held it up in the middle of the intersection of 5th and MIll Ave. Then they carried it out to a wash, planted in the dirt and a bigass desert party around it. They supposedly left it there, but it ended up going missing.
I completely remember the Orlando Brown incident. He then went to the ref and shoved him to the ground, then took off his helmet to show him. The swelling under that eye was nasty
3:01 Oklahoma State University ripped out both field goals in 2011 and recently just ripped out one of them and threw it into a nearby pond and walked it all over their little town and broke it up into several different pieces. Now that’s crazy.
@@shmoney24yeah, Kensucky is great, so great in fact that Kensucky is 3-9 the last 12 games. Before that Kensucky lost 26 straight so, 3-35 the last 38 games. Pretty impressive. Vanderbilt is better than Kensucky.
Tearing the goal post down was a college tradition but in the NFL to keep things fair when it comes to mother nature no team can own or have anything to do with in any way the production, installation, maintenance, etc. Of the the goal posts used for the NFL ,each goal post used in the NFL IS OWNED PRIMARILY BY THE NFL. So any player touching a goal post could ulter Vegas Olds. In short piss of those who bet on NFL games or placing bets on NFL Games
With how much money is on the table for NFL players, there will always be those willing to sacrifice their bodies to make it. I don't see the NFL going anywhere anytime soon tbh.
I disagree. Where is the chip? Saying chip is singular, so there is only 1 chip inside, if it is in the center of the ball it does not tell you if the ball is pointing up, down or sideways, and in a "game of inches", that matters. A touchdown is any part of the ball breaking the plane of the end zone, but you are now saying the chip has to cross? Again, I ask, where is the chip?
