Aussie has done amazing over the years considering lack of depth.
Aussie won 2 world cups and for to 2 other finals when they had a great first team and no realistic backup player in about 12 positions.

Cheika was always a horrible coach and I immediately thought that his decision to open overseas selections for the wallabies in 2015 was the worst possible thing for wallabies. He just wanted getau for the world cup but it cost them both at the international and super rugby level. As a kiwi im glad to see the decision reversed and a big step towards getting their house in order. Give it 2-3 years and they will start to see the benefits 100%.
Imagine NZ super rugby teams if ABs selected overseas players. Then ABs would also be forced to play northern hem style rugby with their northern hem players.

Matches against Wales and Georgia will be good for building a false sense of confidence, but hardly a great preparation for the Rugby Championship.

I like the humble and honest nature of Shmit, previous years has seen overconfidence and expectations that ignored the precarious position RA and the Wallabies were in. The fact we see experienced coaches in Super rugby and realisation that RA is going back to grass roots and restructuring points towards a better future. That Shmit wants to build coaching infrastructure hopefully leads to the smarter rugby we once had.

I think the amount of uncapped players might be partially attributable to the opposition, but there ought to be uncapped players no matter the opposition.

As I said to a friend, putting their club affiliations next to their names has blown the grassroots development budget for this coming financial year.
It's a weird feeling as a fan, excited to see what Schmidt and the debutants can do, it seems like the first time in a long time that form has really been rewarded but also a lot of trepidation because...it's the Wobs. Hopefully these next 3 tests will be ding dong battles and close on the scoreboard. Am I crazy to expect 3 wins?
Charlie Cale could be a star, Pietsch is a big body out on the wing and way overdue for a cap. Hamish Stewart and Josh Flook are both underrated players that I'm glad to see there. A Paisami/Ikitau centres pairing is pretty mouthwatering.
If they go well over these next 3 tests the Bled could be real spicy this year, Schmidt v Robinson, up and coming wobs who had good regular seasons vs NZ sides for once vs ABs
