Really nice that G.S.I. let ya take the tour. 30 years of being a machinist in Tool and Die trade can relate to the process. The rolling dies are where things happen like magic don’t they. Nice job filming Ben and Molly. Hope you folks received some rain!

I cut many, many truckloads of wall and floor stock for GSI, Baughman, and a couple other grain bin guys back in the day. The mill would run their stock all at the same time and then ship it all to us for breakdown processing. We would run for days and days on the same set-up cutting that 20ga and 16ga HDG one big coil after another.

We bought our first GSI bin in 1975. It held 10,000 bushels and had a bin drier. We filled it, dried the corn, called the grain elevator. They sent their semi trucks to haul the corn to the elevator. We filled the bin again, dried the corn and called for the semi’s. We did this until we were done harvesting.
