Just so you know Mosul is one of the few cities in Iraq that looks this destroyed. Most the country isn’t this bad.

If you think otherwise then you fall into the category of those people who think Iraq is a dark, desolate place that is completely in ruins. Go to many places of Iraq and you'll see that even though there is destruction it is not as bad as Mosul. The original comment about what the dad said is correct. We have been destroyed as a whole country. But we never give up. We aee rebuild and will keep rebuilding, insha Allah. We are strong people who neved lose hope or the will to survive, so we always say alhamdulillah.

I can't believe you actually came to Mosul. It used to be a beautiful city. More than 50 thousand people died in this war, but people should move forward whatever happen, but it will always be held in memories.
This is my city, Mosul, 7 years ago. I did not see it, and I did not see my family because of the war that destroyed my house and my city. My house became only dirt, and my house was bombed and died. You because you gave me my city vision

First of all, thank you so so much for showing us this city. Secondly, I'm really shocked and, to be honest, inspired by people of Mosul and their desire to build their city after the terrible and barbarian actions happened there. I'm from south Iraq but never get a chance to visit Mosul, unfortunately!
BTW, people in this city have a beautiful and a bit different accent from other Iraqi accents.
It's really special and many people from other cities like it also.

I was in Mosul in 2003 and early 2004. I fell in love with the city the very first time I was there. I have never forgot the people who I met during that time. It was full of beautiful, amazing people who despite the circumstances of my being there, were overwhelmingly friendly and welcoming. I hope to someday be able to return there.

Watched this video when I was feeling really low and realised how blessed we are to be safe in our homes.
This makes me cry literally 😭😭. May Allah help them. And we must thanks to Allah for what we have, in what peaceful situation (home) we are living without any fear of bombarment. Alhumdulilah for everything we have now. We are better than many. We must thanks to Allah in every situation /circumstances.
The mosque really is wonder. Prayers for Mosul, so happy to know our brothers haven't given up.
Thank you so much for taking us into the glimpse state of how Mosul Iraq is now like, at my university in Malaysia, I have many coursemates from Iraq, I can sense how enthusiastic they are in rebulding and contributing back to their country upon returning to their homeland. If you see Baghdad you will weep how the place became ...ruined buildings allover , people selling even tea in traffic jam, hawkers allover... But Iraqis so friendly,down to earth atleast the ones i had an encounter with ...when you think about how the country is rich in oil and how the citizens are suffering with unemployment and electricity problems it's sickening.

I am from Algeria and I feel a lot of pain to see the destruction that have and is still taking place in countries with so much long and rich history , like Iraq, Syria and Yeman.
