He was so nervous in his early years of fame. You can tell from that “I’m staying in a hotel” joke. You can’t help but like the guy, with him wearing casual cloths just being himself
In 96 I was buying his comedy CD as part of the 11 disk offer on Columbia House.

That guy from 50 first dates made a business out of having sex with tourists that he knew he wouldn’t see again. Watch those movies again, and Tell me that behavior like that hasn’t contributed to the normalization of that kind of behavior in society.
Man I'm getting old I watched this the night it came out I was in the Army I never missed a episode of Conan back then we didn't have DVR lol and now I'm watching this as a grandfather lol haha
To this day, I still think Happy Gilmore was his best movie ever by far.

Saw Happy Gilmore at the Drive In with my mom. We laughed until we cried. Had it on VHS, dvd, blueray, etc.

It's weird how your perception of where/when some part of culture belongs can get distorted. I started watching Conan in the 2000s, so it feels surreal to see him interviewing Adam Sandler about Happy Gilmore...then I have to remind myself that Conan started in 1993.

I remember seeing that the first time on VHS in the 90s.
The thing I love about old Conan clips is they show that he didn't just become a great interviewer overnight. He gradually identified his annoying ticks, learnt how to avoid dead air better, etc.
I like the old show better. They kept doing 'In the year 2000' after the year 2000. Old ones took more risks/chances, didn't matter cuz they were on later too. H. Jon Benjamin was a writer and did a few characters. Miss Oldy Olsen
