Shot glass easily tips over. Hose keeps coming out of it also. Ramp/climbing method not optimal. Hole in cap not optimal.
Thanks, finally, for the accurate recipe though. My technique - square bottom 2-liter clear water jug sitting inside of cut bottom of 1 gallon vinegar jug, hose rubber banded to outside of the 2 liter bottle going down towards bottom, sticky ace bandage wrap-around the vinegar jug bottom trap (can also use cotton medical tape), finally a drill gun/bit for the hole. Now that is World Class!

I didn't do this yet but I followed his advice about
●wrapping the mattress in 4 mil plastic
    ● I bagged up all our belongings in plastic bags. ( I now have to treat our belongings)
    ● I have a steamer which I think I'd been fine without.
●I bought bed bug and egg kill (Harris) for the resistant bedbugs.
    ● wash and dried all bedding
    ● I bought bed bug interceptors
    ● I sprayed an insecticide to kill them and a residual (suspend sc)/ and gentrol)
    ● I put cimexa around the baseboards, inside the interceptors and under the bed on the floor.
No bites in about a months...
I'm a city bus driver and this coronavirus has my schedule on the fritz so I haven't been able to completely kill the hiding BB's,I haven't seen any but i know i have to treat our belongings... THANX Joel for all the great advice, I have been actually sleeping peacefully like before we had any issues...

i found your site and watched the video on the Bed Bug Trap, I constructed the trap just as you described and low and behold it worked just as you said it would. I've caught about 60 bed bugs in it, then the pest control guy for the apartment complex came in, I showed him the trap and showed him your video and he had never heard of your trap before and was amazed at how well it worked and wanted to know how to construct one. He sprayed the bedroom with a solution that is not harmful to my cats on Friday. Today i checked the bed bug trap and for the first night there were no bugs in it. I am elated to think i might be able to sleep in my bed again. I've ordered the CimeXa and plan on applying it to stop any future infestations. Thank you so much for putting your video out where poor people can see it and get some help with the bugs.

I too think his video is a great gift. I am handicapped but I can handle some of this. Do be aware that re-infestation happens easily. Try to use metal bed frames ideally the type that are made that you do not need a box spring under your mattress. Clean your bed frame with rubbing alcohol. It helps too!

For those who prefer written steps, I have summurized the man's procedure into steps, maybe not as perfect as watching him do it so correct me if I am wrong and i will make edits. I have just finished doing this and have placed it in my bedroom after using harris bed bug kit, but i also wanted to try this man's method after applying harris chemicals, maybe i won't trap as many bugs soon because harris kit took out most of them (at least for today), and they will probably appear in the coming days/weeks. Will wait and see and share update in the comment to hopefully help others.
    1- 12 oz cup of water (half filled= 6oz) of warm water 40 C
2-add one table spoon of sugar into the cup
3- add 1/4 oz of active dry yeast
    4- stir solution well
    5- wait 10 mins
    6- jug with 2 quarts (8 cups) of warm water 40 C
7- add 2 and 1/2 cups of sugar to jug
8-stir the sugar and water solution and dissolve the sugar
9- introduce (add) the yeast, sugar and water solution cup from earlier steps to the jug
10- stir the jug again very well.
11-use a funnel to pour the final solution into an empty 2 litter coke bottle
12- make a small hole on the center of the bottle's cap to fit in a 1/4 inch OD | .170 inch ID plastic tube (make sure the hole is not too big, just enough to get the tube through)
13- after inserting the tube (should not be inserted too much just enough to get on the other side maybe 1/2 cm.) seal the hole from both sides using glue
14- make sure that tube remains dry and never touch the solution, the idea is to make CO2 generated by the solution to flow through it
15- get a small glass shot cup and wrap it with paper towel, this will make it easy for the bug to climb on it (they can't climb well on class)
16- trim the paper towels with scissors to the neck (use the top of the glass as reference)
17- put the other end of the plastic tube inside the small shot cup (might need to apply small tape to prevent it from poping out from the glass)
18- the idea is that the CO2 flowing from the bottle into the tube and then into the class will make bugs attracted to it, they will climb on the glass (made easy by paper towels)
and when they reach the top of the class they may get themselves into the cup with no or little chance for them to climb back up and get out due to the slippery nature of glass.

I created this trap just as you showed. After the first night, I trapped two adult bugs and five babies. The babies were almost invisible. If the baby powder hadn't been in the bottom of the glass they wouldn't have been visible at all. This trap works like crazy. I'm adding more sugar to the bottle and I'm setting it back up. This trap is cheap, and incredibly effective. It's cheap enough that I can create one for every room. Thank you so much for this. I thought I had these evil things under control, but this trap showed me there's still something to deal with. Thank God!

ChevyDude65 I made the trap also a few days ago. I did everything exactly as he did. I even used 2 1/2 cups of sugar to give it a extra kick. I've had it up for 2 nights now and I've cought NOTHING ! About a week before hand esteemed my couch put down de and that seemed to help a tremendous amount. But here in there we were seeing 1 maybe two after steaming the couch and putting down the d e we have saw probably 6 and we caught them but along the way I must have missed a egg or two because now we have seen approximately 10215 little clear ones we've also caught them. We back you everyday we even went out and bought a different vacuum cleaner the kind that holds a bag we also bought a handheld vacuum cleaner where you can get up in the couch very well. Knock on wood the couch is the only place that we have seen them but it is a big dark dark brown Earth color sectional I never knew a couch had so many cracks and crevices. Anyways I'm waiting on a cimexa kit I've also used bed lamb. I know I made the device correctly why am I not catching anything? I woke up today with no bites and I am one who gets bit really bad it's like I am the one they prefer there is two adults in the household that's it. But when I made the device I watched the yeast rise I used two and a half cups of sugar I sealed around the tube just to be sure I even put a piece in the tube to help got it and hold it in place I put baby powder in the bottom of the cup the cup is not a shot glass I could not find one around the house so I used a glass like you would give a child maybe a 4-ounce glass I have the two right at the bottom what am I doing wrong? How long did it take you to start catching them? I am praying that I have rid The House of the bed bugs we have our clothes in containers they cannot get into we had put them in the dryer on high heat before hand we cleaned thoroughly everyday please tell me what I did wrong

KrAzYs KaRmA I know you posted this question nine months ago but I just seen it. The bed bugs bite everyone, they just want blood, they don’t care the person. The reason you have bites and they “don’t” is because everyone’s skin reacts differently, so the bites are irritating your skin and not theirs.

Thanks to advice from your videos I was able to rid myself of a very frustrating bed bug problem without ever getting a professional exterminator. I did not have a heavy infestation, but it went on for a long time, and even followed me (in a raw wooden futon frame, I think) when I moved to another state. Hard to put in words how stressful and discouraging it was. You mentioned that bedbugs can hide in cracks as narrow as a credit card. I found some deep in a joint on my futon frame that had a gap even narrower. Steam, CimeXa, and yeast traps did the trick, I did not encase my mattress and box spring (I usually sleep in a regular bed but had the futon and frame mostly for guests.) I have not had any bites in two years now. I thank you also for speaking clearly and sensibly, and getting straight to the point. I am so grateful.

Don't skip this video because you want to find the same info in a three minute video. I am fairly knowledgeable on the topic and I was still surprised by a few details in this video that tied together some of what I already knew. There is little, if any, wasted time or self praise.

If you mix baking soda and boric acid together and sprinkle it around your bed I put it all over the floors and left it down for 3 days then I vacuumed it up but the longer the better...it slows down the infestation and it kills them because the backing soda activates the boric acid and makes it more powerful so as they walk thru it...it eats up their legs. take all of your clothes to the laundry down to curtains and wash in very hot water at least 2x then make sure to dry everything. I believe if yu also add backing soda and boric acid to water in a spray bottle it would be good in your car and spraying anything wood under neath the legs the love wood and the also hide behind pictures on walls.

      EsBob Ravenscraft
Kroger’s in Texas and Ralph’s in California have about a 5’ X 5’ white cooler labeled “dry ice” full of various amounts of prepackaged dry ice. Brilliantly they usually place them after checking out (why do stores position items for sale after checkout and make you take the time to recheck-out when you discover it’s next to the bagged ice cubes you also forgot?). Wear gloves handling dry ice and don’t build a trap with 20lb of dry ice and sleep there in the same room. That could easily produce a life threatening amount of CO^2 gas - especially if you sleep in the same room an we’re low to the ground. After about 10 checkouts without dry ice, I finally bit the bit the bullet and got sry ice and stood in line again. I bout about 2lb of dry, stuck it in the fridge until ready to build an upside down dog dish trap I red about. Unfortunately the dry ice had completely dissipated. I was surprised because on First Class flights international flights desserts are usually ice cream sundaes. The ice cream is packed in metal container that is not cooled and the dry ice lasts for hours. In fact if you don’t separate the dry ice and ice cream a few hours before serving, ice cream remains “rock-solid” and can not be serve. I make bread and am familiar with yeast in large bottles and will gives the gentleman’s clever trap a try tonight.

I thank you for your video's. Its clear your are a gifted, patient teacher. I wanted to mention that bendable soda straws joined together with duct tape make excellent tubing. Also, the commenters may have missed it, but CO2 is actually heavier than air. Once it reaches the bottom of the shot glass it lingers in there for quite some time. CO2 suffocates the Bed bugs. Essentially they die from lack of Oxygen.

They are usually oval shaped with the dark black spot right in the middle. If you have bed bugs cleaning your house will not do anything you have to call and extermit them. I'm sure this trap catches a lot of them but it won't catch them all.

Yo, good Look on putting this video up…This is my 2nd time referencing it to make the trap again. I made 2 other modified smaller versions w/ success besides the 2-liter version. I've caught maybe around 10-23 bbs in a 3 week period & i don't even have a big infestation. Mostly it's the building and the previous tenant before I moved in. I've only recently seen 2 after not seeing any for awhile ( that's why i'm setting it up again) and I haven't been bit for a hot minute. Everything is off the wall. i put tape on the bottom of my workstation and caught one. I put packing tape on the legs of my sofa w// baby powder rubbed around it. Same for bed frame. I feel victorious. Again, thanks for yr help.

@@ronaldperry9032 DE is Diatomaceous Earth. It is a very fine powder used to kill bed bugs. It is not poisonous. It's a sort of calcium powder. When bed bugs crawl through it, the DE gets on them and dries out the exoskeleton of the bedbug, killing it. It's pretty inexpensive. You can buy it at some hardware stores or on Amazon. That's why you spread the DE around the lure trap, so they walk through it and it kills them faster when they get trapped.

Thank you, Joel! This project was actually fun to put together. I have a tip for making the hole in the top of the bottle lid- find a nail that has a head the same size as the tubing, then grip the nail with pliers at the pointed end and hold the head of the nail over a candle flame for a few seconds. When the nail head is hot enough, it will push right through the plastic lid like it's going through butter. You will end up with a hole that is the perfect size, with smooth edges.
Another tip: If you don't want to wait for the silicone sealant to cure, you can use electrical tape. The way you use the tape is to wrap it around the part of the tubing that goes into the bottle cap. Start at about 3" from the end of the tube and wrap three times, continue wrapping moving closer to the end and wrap two times, and then about an inch from the end you wrap the tape just once. Then you poke the tube DOWNWARD into the hole in the top of the bottle cap, twisting the cap to work it further up the tube. The tape will be thicker further up because of the three wraps. It should get stuck midway and form a tight seal. If the cap slides up too easily, try again with more wraps.
And just one more thing... I couldn't get the paper towel to stay up to the edge of the shotglass with the rubber band. It kept slipping down. I ended up cutting a thin strip of duct tape which I wrapped around the top of the glass just below the rim with the sticky part of the tape facing outward, then I carefully lined up the edge of the paper towel at the lip of the shotglass and wrapped it around the tape, securing it with a tiny piece of tape. This method kept the paper towel in position near the top of the shotglass, even after being handled many times as I moved it around.

Supposedly you do this every 14 days to keep them out. I kinda went the extra mile and placed small plastic containers on the bed legs too. Success! I made your "Gold Standard Trap" out of the large soda bottle, a piece of tubing, a short wide 8oz canning jar wrapped in a papertowel held on with a rubberband. I used strawberry jam to plug up the hole around the tube! :) For the first week it didn't catch anything. I got impatient so I added some chicken liver to the bottom of the glass to entice them with the smell of blood. 2 nights later (last night) I caught one! I want to add that I also had placed clear packing tape across my heat/AC vents (because they were blowing cold AC on me in my sleep so I'd done that long before the bedbug situation) and there were 2 large ones stuck on the tape as well. That's a great reminder that we need to treat our HVAC vents as well. I don't know exactly how though, as the Cimexa has already irritated my throat and lungs big time from dusting the rest of my house/belongings and I don't want the powder to be coming out all over me the next time I turn on the heat/AC...Any thoughts Joel?

What I find out is that even though bedbugs can go dormant for 9 months, they're only going to go dormant if they think there's no food. The presence of co2 (including these traps) just means for them that they won't go dormant since there's food available. I plan to keep these traps around her house regularly till they're all gone. thanks again!

I know it’s 5 years later since this video was posted, but I’m very grateful. I found the bedbugs in my daughters room on all 4 corners of her box spring. I vacuumed them up, sprayed the mattress & box spring, and then used bed bug encasements. When my daughter went back to sleep, I stayed up to keep an eye out, & sure enough, some tiny ones that were hidden way down in her headboard were crawling on her comforter. So I moved her into my room, went to Walmart to buy the active yeast & tubing, and came home to construct this trap. We only caught 1 bed bug on night one but that let me know I did make it correctly. Hopefully it’s a sign that I don’t have anymore. I will also be spreading D. Wow! This trap works like a charm! My adult stepson ended up with an infestation in his room, which grossed him out so bad that he couldn't deal with it properly. After doing little for 2-3 months or more, he pretty much powdered everything in his room with DE and flew the coop, staying at a friend's house. His "pets" came out to our living room looking for food since their normal prey had left. That was when I personally had to get involved. After using the gold medal trap overnight in his room, the entire bottom of the shot glass is filled with a layer of dead bedbugs. I put a small amount of DE in my pitfall trap, as it was the closest thing I had to talcum powder. I am in the process of bagging up all my stuff in my living room, as other videos I have watched have explained that getting rid of them completely involves making spots they can hide non-existent and treating those you locate, including outlets and base boards. It is a work in progress, but this trap is so much better than things sold to deal with bedbugs. Thank you so much for this informative video, and keep up the good work!

I also washed my drapes and blankets then ran them in the dryer. I have wood flooring and used roach proof powder swept into the flooring, let set for 24 hours than vacuumed up. Be sure to empty your vacuum or change the bag immediately afterwards since they can hatch in the bag. It was nightmarish but finally got rid of them. It absolutely works! In addition, Mr. Williams clearly spells out the fundamentals so that people can improvise as we did. I have a friend whose apartment is full of the blood-suckers, and she had a few of the things mentioned, I got her the dry yeast, we used sugar, and a Gatorade bottle. Not having the tubing, I cut a small hole and used a bendy straw to insert into the shotglass. The straw didn't reach the ground, though, so I improvised by putting the shotglass in the middle of a small pile of clothes. I came back the next morning and voila! The glass was full of the creepy crawlies--happily, many were nearly-invisible babies. We used a small bottle, so we only needed about a 3rd of the yeast. Luckily, as an experienced bread maker, I know exactly what he meant by it having to be the right temperature. When you see the foam, it's fermenting. As he mentions, make sure that you leave room for expansion. I am of the opinion that his small-bottle technique works best and we plan on using many more in different rooms. Refrigerate the yeast to keep it alive; give it plenty of sugar to ferment and I can't imagine a better, safer method. We also put down borax, which dries them out. DE is a highly dangerous element and if you breathe the hard, sharp crystals, they will cut into your lungs and create scars. Thank you Mr. Williams!

I get that smaller bottle traps work better since the solution is probably more concentrated. But, for the sake of my paranoia, if I wanted to go with the bigger bottle traps, would it be OK to add more than Mr. William's advised amount of yeast and sugar?

@@Tit0Matic I'm not sure, since I didn't try it, but I did see that a shot glass will fill up and they will climb up on each other. I put in a little baking soda at the bottom and that worked.

I had the place sprayed on Saturday, the tenant text me on Sunday she saw two crawling on her wall.😖 At this point I'm not sure what to do. Will give your way a try. NOT trying to go bankrupt getting rid of them or loose 13&16 years tenants because the upstairs tenant gave them to the down stairs tenant and now it's my responsibility because I own the property, said the guilty tenant. I am willing to do whatever it takes to to a point but bedbugs don't suddenly appear after living in a house 16 years unless someone brought them there. I really appreciate your efforts and hopefully this will work for me. Thanks again.

My grandmother - who I KNOW everyone says this about theirs - was a very special person. She had NO health problems, and aside from being old (95), she livednalone and wasn't even frail. No walker... nothing.
She died from bedbugs, and as this man says, it has NOTHING to with one's cleanliness, (in my grandmother's case she was IMMACULATE), and aside from going to the store and doing chores in her neighbourhood, she was a homebody.
    This is very painful for me to recall - and it happened about a decade ago this month. I'm doing it solely so no one ever has this happen;
I discovered them one Sunday when me mother were going too meet up and spend the afternoon with her (I'm not gonna go into details - just the basics). When my mother arrived, I grabbed her as she came in the apartment and told her. I told her NOT to tell her mother (she did), and I said it's SO bad, we MUST do something IMMEDIATELY.
I could hear my grandmother - very upset - thinking it was due to her... For the next (I can't believe this) several weeks, I kept saying, 'well?' to my mother. She didn't understand. She wouldn't listen to me.
Finally, she tells me she found someone, and this is what's going to happen; he's going to come on Monday, and whille my mother sits in the lobby with her mother, the man will spray. Then, grandma goes home, and the following day, it's repeated.
I said this sounds nuts - you CAN'T have grandma go right back in to a freshly treated apartment.
    She wouldn't listen....
    Sigh.
Tuesday, I got a call from my mother; 'have you spoken with Grandma, today? She hasn't answered the phone'.
The minute she said this, I KNEW what had happened. I felt sick. 😔
I have to stop there. I think you can figure out the rest.
I miss her SO much. She was fine. FINE, just -, as she, herself would say, 'an old lady', that's all.
Bedbugs are terrible, but they ARE treatable. I don't know much about this gentlemen, but he does say they're designed to be non-toxic.
    That's good.
Please; keep the area well ventilated. Don't be embarrassed to discuss this with others - please!
Make sure you don't do what my mother did - and try to look for an 'easy fix' for her mother.
It is tragic. We don't speak about this - and never will. I feel I sometimes have to speak to people so hopefully no one will lose a loved one (even the 4-legged kind).
    .
Have a safe and happy holidays and a good new year's. 🎄🕎🎉🥂

Ya know,I made one about a yr ago. Take and cut the two liter about right where the neck starts to form say maybe the shoulder. Turn it upside down and and fit it to the rest of the bottle. This way,Once she falls over the edge..she won't be able to crawl out and will continuously slide into the center in turn making her drop into the fermenting solution. She won't be able to release the pheromone or even have time to. She will crawl straight over the edge, slide down it and fall right into the center, then down into the water and be stuck and essentially drown. Just a thought,I caught quite a few this way too. It's the same thing, but different design. Yours actually creates a focal point for the co2 which is awesome,I'm just trying to think of a way to get them to follow indefinitely and get screwed. Perhaps a very small amount of water sugar and yeast in the bottom of the shot glass. possibly have another container that the tube runs into the side of that they can crawl up...with some kind of substance in the bottom that kills or severely incapacitates them immediately. I know with the knowledge you have, you can definitely come up with a not only gold...but Platinum trap ...tha Bedbuginator or something..LoL

+Gossip and Glam . Boric Acid won't work on bedbugs because they are blood obligate insects. You are in the presence of a master. I suggest you research your comments and vet them for reliability before you post them. I do not suffer fools quietly. Boric Acid may work on a cockroach, but will never work against a bedbug. I just told you why. Can you figure out why you suggestion is false with regards to bedbugs?

    • @gossipandglam2928
      @gossipandglam2928 9 ปีที่แล้ว

I didn't say anything about using boric acid to kill them I said put them in the trap to fall in.
I am fully aware of what these things do, I said boric acid because that's like torture to be trapped in something like that.
I don't want it to just fall into the trap, I want the thing to suffer the way it made me suffer-boric acid will cause dehydration to it's body and it will disintegrate.
Boric acid also causes infertility which is great just in case one gets away, yes they are "blood obligate" but if they walk on or in boric acid they will die.
They have to walk through the acid to get to you.

My sister runs a boarding house and after battling cockroaches for a year she thought everything was ok. About a week ago one of her residents came out of his room with bed bugs crawling on him. The residents are responsible for cleaning their own rooms and are also told to report any kind of a pest problem should they arise. Imagine the horror she felt when she went to inspect his room and found it completely infested with bed bugs crawling on just about every visible surface. She was going to have an exterminator come out and heat treat the room. This was going to cost a small fortune. I told her to let me explore other options and after much time online I came across the 'Williams method' and it sounded right by all the things I had read about bed bugs so I made the trap as suggested with a few tweaks of my own. 1) I used 1/2 inch tubing which is twice the size.
    2) Because I used larger tubing I doubled the yeast and sugar so it would really pump out the co2 . 3) Because I used larger tube I had to tape so construction wire (2 length's, 1 on each side of the tube) to keep the tube from rolling back and tipping the shot glass. I also used the recommended talcum powder. I set the trap at about 7:00 pm and came back 12 hours later and let me tell you the shot glass was 1/2 full of bed bugs of all sizes. I doused them with rubbing alcohol, then put them in a sandwich bag (ziplock of course. The bed bugs filled the bag from one side to the other and about an inch high. Now the second night only about 200 bugs. I reactivated the trap by boiling water in a large pot 1/2 full then placing the bottle in the hot water and on the third night nearly as many as on the first night. I will be keeping this vigil for one month straight and then we go in and clean the hell out of that room. To be on the safe side we are also setting traps in every room of the house to see if they have traveled anywhere. Thanks for the excellent advice. This trap really works.

No, I don't make any money really. I don't make people watch the commercial ads before they can see the videos. I think that is unethical to profit off of the suffering of poor and disadvantaged people. I do make a little from the TH-cam partnership but it's nothing to brag about. I wish more people would watch the ads and like and subscribe but I won't stop giving them info for free because of greed. I know what it is like to suffer from bedbugs.
Sorry, I learned recently that the bedbugs aren't actually blind. An entomologist just corrected me and informed me that they have small compound type eyes, kind of like houseflies.
DE is terrible against bedbugs. It's slow, requires weeks to work and is a harmful respiratory irritant. Choose CimeXa or some other amorphous silica gel instead.
Vacuuming is really a waste of time. If it makes you feel better then good, but the experts say most bugs are never going to be in the carpet if they have a nice boxspring instead. Thanks for your post.

Thought we had gotten them all. We must have missed EGGS somewhere. And just saw some for the first time in 8 months. So I built 2 traps with bottles and flexible straws. Put by the bed and caught The tiny babies about 20 or 30 and about 10 that were about 1/2 grown. Making a few more to put in the living room. They work great.

My G/F said after a week of just plastic sheet plan and floor spray thought the bugs to be all gone.... so I made this CO2 Kit up and Last Night set it up and this am Had 5 in the Trap!!! She was Like Ohhh!!! I used CimeXa in bottom of my trap for bought it....Didnt want them to get out Just DIE! I had sprayed my room floors and bed frames and such with Cynoff.....then been covering bed with plastic...found few dead ones in bed under plastic but less lately! But CO2 really showed still have a Bunch to Kill! I used Brown Sugar and seems to work good.... I also after seeing one other post you did on the Ear Wax so I put two swabs ends with wax on them in bottom of trap...I also got Both the Walmart hose line and the home-depot hose line ....I used the hose line at Walmart for was easier to bend aquarium line then the stuff at home depot and think can easily heat with hair dryer to straighten if needed too....I plan to make two more traps Today!
Thanks for all the Great Clips you Post Mr Williams!!

Dave Sykes That is a great success story. Thanks for sharing that with me. I am currently writing a book and I would be interested to see if you would like to help contribute your story?

Joel Z. Williams I basically know what you have shown me... (thank you) I dont know what I can do to help but if can sure... I am thinking of getting a few sealed oil filled heaters ( think safer then some heat sources) and then bake the room also.....wish I could find rentals of them...but haven't looked yet.....also having the co2 kit on for 5 hours I didnt see any in trap or near but in am after slept in room is when saw that it worked....also saw one on the wall over kit it so may have to do the tape with baby powder to keep them from climbing to get to us.....

Joel Z. Williams I went up to the guy I buy my pest supply from to show him the dead ones in a zip lock bag from CO2 trap....he checked them all under the microscope... He was like Wow! That CimeXa really Killed them Dead Fast!! He said think of a horseshoe crab shell find on beach....That was all that was left ...a dried out shell! I told him I had used it with the CO2 set up in the bottom of the glass with tube part and he was Like Wow! Great! Keep doing what your doing he said...So I hope I can eradicate them all soon....guess traps will tell me when I get them all or so. Got three set up in the house now....

Dave Sykes Awesome. Yeah I would keep on doing what you're doing. You have busted their egg-laying cycle wide open. Attack full force now. Quote from Nick Nolte in The Thin Red Line, "The enemy is on the run, we can't lose the advantage...It's high ground by nightfall!"

You could also spiral wrap the 2 liter bottle with the exhaust tube, secure the opening at the bottom of the 2 liter bottle with tape or a rubber band, then place the bottle inside the center of an open top 12x12 inch wide by 2-3-4 inch deep (or bigger) metal or glass cake pan or glass bowl, then cote the sides of the cake pan with baby powder (which is slippery so they can't crawl out), give the bed bugs a ramp to enter the trap by taping a paper towel to each of the four sides. When you find them in the trap, show them no mercy and kill them. Bed bugs are evil. I was hoping to find something like a lizard that would patrol the bed area and hunt down the bed bugs and would kill the bed bugs by eating them.

HEEHEE I found this one by accident a few years ago. I have a hobby of making Artisan wine. While fermenting, you want it in a cool, dark place. There is no such thing as cool in Florida, but I was finding a concentration of bugs in the closet in one apartment I moved into. I added a hose to the vapor lock into a styrofoam cup with about half water and a squirt of dishwashing liquid. Next morning, I had a thick layer of bugs in the bottom of the cup. They float in plain water, but sink if you add detergent. Four gtallons of wine with a high tollerance yeast often works for more than two months before it stops and the wine is ready to siphon. I wasn't catching anymore bugs a couple weeks before the wine was done.

Thank you so very much for this, sir! I am in the midst of professional treatment for "a few bed bugs". Not even an infestation yet and I was getting bitten so badly that I had to take antihistamines to deal with the allergic reaction I had (skin rashes and throat closed up). They are coming to spray for a 3rd time today, it feels hopeless because the interceptor traps, mattress and box spring covers plus professional treatment cost me my savings and then some and it doesn't seem to be helping them much. I got bitten again several times yesterday while doing yoga on my bedroom floor at 6 a.m. I havent slept right in 2 months. This video has given me a glimmer of hope. Your instructions are concise and easy to understand. Thank you again!!!

Anytime you’re getting but that much and there’s enough to notice them, there’s an infestation. There’s no such thing as a few bed bugs by the time you get bit up that much. You’re allergic to them and you shouldn’t be tricked into believing this snake oil salesman would really help.

If you have questions, feel free to ask. I’ve been doing this for over a decade and it sounds like there’s pyrethroid resistant bedbugs in your home. You shouldn’t have to treat three times in two months. Either they have no clue what they’re doing or the bugs are resistant.

Aquarium tubing also works. You can get it at a pet store or even Walmart in the fish stuff dept.

@@ronaldmason6039 Before we used traps we had Terminex come in and check. It was free. We elected then to trap and kill them. Traps were always present as we packed to leave in plastic bags for later dryer high heat kill any in clothes. Meanwhile bed bugs were dripping from the ceiling onto tenants downstairs. Also to add insult to injury landlord was trying actively to sell us the property. Never telling us about horrible history of this very old building with bedbugs. Landlord only wanted to teach us how to live with them. Having bed bugs in a dwelling makes it not habitable by law. Landlord thought we were stupid.
