Some may argue, I imagine, that I could dialogue with Nipsey now by listening to previous music and interviews of his, where he drops jewels and logic on life ... as well as his unique outlook which has allowed him to maneuver his way in a perpetual upward trajectory in the worlds of entertainment, business, and now even history. To those, I would say that I couldn't truly capture the essence of the man now, having foreknowledge of what would happen as I study him back then. I'm at a loss of words, momentarily, to articulate just what it is I'm trying to convey (It's just something you have to feel), but I can better illustrate it in the words of another: Bruce Lee once said (and I'm paraphrasing) to a pupil with whom he was teaching a lesson in solidifying heart and action that the result of such endeavors is like a finger pointing to the moon. But, though the finger shows you the way, don't concentrate on it or you will miss all of the experience of celestial bodies, spacious skies, and galactic personalities in your journey. For me, not having previous experience of Nipsey's life, and to focus on his music and interviews now, as to learn who he was then, is a moot point. Because my current knowledge of his demise cannot be disconnected from my thoughts where human reason and ideas are born, and so I could not appreciate, fully, the remarkably unique personality of the Nipsey Hussle I know of now, inhabiting the person of Nipsey Hussle the entertainer. So, I would encourage others who appreciate the legacy of this man to look forward, allowing the effects of his life and the many positive transitions and contributions he made inspire you to do likewise, and even more so... Progenitors always encourage and expect their posterity or offspring to be better than themselves, to go further than they did, and go ... steps beyond. This has always been true with biological progenitors, as well as intellectual ones, progenitors of thought, such as Nipsey Hussle was... No, he wasn't perfect, but that's why I truly believe he would have expected those for whom he stood and represented to go further and beyond what he was cable of accomplishing. Just as iron sharpens iron, Nipsey was influenced by a Plethora of Nipsey Hussles that came before him, of course with names of greatness and accomplishments in their own right. And for the sake of overlooking any one-name, I won't detail any group-of-names. But, here's what I will say, Nipsey carried the same banner ( or message if you will) that many before him carried. It just so happens that in the falling and rising of kingdoms, times, and generations of people, communication evolves and the youthful (those that dictate the trajectory of world events) hear and listen to communication much different than those that came before them. In this sense, there is always two or three in every generation, who I call alchemists, those enlightened ones that can more-or-less interpret the important messages of the past and articulate them in a modern language that the peers in the current generation can comprehend and digest. May Nipsey rest-in-peace, and let his message inspire you to change the corner of the world in which you occupy for the better. When you see your brother and sister in passing at work, in the market place, in the streets look not on them with jealousy, envy, or disdain, but greet them with positive salutations and encouragement in the struggle...

I want to start by offering my most sincere condolences to the family, friends, and community of Ermias Asghedom (AKA Nipsey Hussle). You lost an amazing son, husband, brother, friend, and comrade! And the world at large is suffering the loss of an extraordinary artist, thought leader, social activist, and alchemist of people, places, and ideas. Unfortunately, I've never gotten the opportunity to dialogue with this, obviously charismatic, brilliant, and beautiful minded young brother, but his philosophy on life and world view has been effectively communicated within the last few weeks through the media by the countless lives of those who were, in some form or another, fortunate enough to have had such an opportunity.
Some may argue, I imagine, that I could dialogue with Nipsey now by listening to previous music and interviews of his, where he drops jewels and logic on life ... as well as his unique outlook which has allowed him to maneuver his way in a perpetual upward trajectory in the worlds of entertainment, business, and now even history. To those, I would say that I couldn't truly capture the essence of the man now, having foreknowledge of what would happen as I study him back then. I'm at a loss of words, momentarily, to articulate just what it is I'm trying to convey (It's just something you have to feel), but I can better illustrate it in the words of another: Bruce Lee once said (and I'm paraphrasing) to a pupil with whom he was teaching a lesson in solidifying heart and action that the result of such endeavors is like a finger pointing to the moon. But, though the finger shows you the way, don't concentrate on it or you will miss all of the experience of celestial bodies, spacious skies, and galactic personalities in your journey. For me, not having previous experience of Nipsey's life, and to focus on his music and interviews now, as to learn who he was then, is a moot point. Because my current knowledge of his demise cannot be disconnected from my thoughts where human reason and ideas are born, and so I could not appreciate, fully, the remarkably unique personality of the Nipsey Hussle I know of now, inhabiting the person of Nipsey Hussle the entertainer.
So, I would encourage others who appreciate the legacy of this man to look forward, allowing the effects of his life and the many positive transitions and contributions he made inspire you to do likewise, and even more so... Progenitors always encourage and expect their posterity or offspring to be better than themselves, to go further than they did, and go ... steps beyond. This has always been true with biological progenitors, as well as intellectual ones, progenitors of thought, such as Nipsey Hussle was... No, he wasn't perfect, but that's why I truly believe he would have expected those for whom he stood and represented to go further and beyond what he was cable of accomplishing.
Just as iron sharpens iron, Nipsey was influenced by a Plethora of Nipsey Hussles that came before him, of course with names of greatness and accomplishments in their own right. And for the sake of overlooking any one-name, I won't detail any group-of-names. But, here's what I will say, Nipsey carried the same banner ( or message if you will) that many before him carried. It just so happens that in the falling and rising of kingdoms, times, and generations of people, communication evolves and the youthful (those that dictate the trajectory of world events) hear and listen to communication much different than those that came before them. In this sense, there is always two or three in every generation, who I call alchemists, those enlightened ones that can more-or-less interpret the important messages of the past and articulate them in a modern language that the peers in the current generation can comprehend and digest.
May Nipsey rest-in-peace, and let his message inspire you to change the corner of the world in which you occupy for the better. When you see your brother and sister in passing at work, in the market place, in the streets look not on them with jealousy, envy, or disdain, but greet them with positive salutations and encouragement in the struggle...
