Aw, it's such a hard situation. We had a dog that was very sickly from the time she was 3 until she had to be euthanized at 8 years old. She required medications and 4 feedings spread throughout the day so it was pretty constant care. We weren't able to leave her alone very long either and now we feel some degree of guilt for going on trips and enjoying ourselves. We just have to remind ourselves that we did our best and we'd trade any vacation to have her back and everyone deserves to feel joy.
Hey Sumner, I am so sorry you are feeling stuck in life right now. Sometimes it's in the season of being stuck that we are able to learn the most about ourselves and grow! We found a dog sitter who takes care of our high maintenance dog! He has two eye drops that he has to get each day and he eats a mixture of wet and dry food. I hope one day you will be able to pursue some of your dreams and go to the places you want to go! Thanks for also sharing some of your childhood momentos! So sweet!
