I know this is an older video, but I wanted to share something I've recently used to help myself speed through a few ancient power resets on ps4 after the c8/c9 update.
Basically now that you can access c8 Expeditions once reaching champion score 7850...if you then play one c7 Expedition and one c8 Expedition, then this now allows you to immediately show you have completed onslaught lvl 98.
Doing those 3 steps:
(7850 champion score, one c7 map, one c8 map)
you can then repeat it all each reset to complete up to 32 resets without actually needing to play any onslaught floors.
(Although I think onslaught floors are usually your best bet for upgraded gear anyway. Even if it's not the best quality, as long as you have the high gear score you can quickly get to the target 7,850 champion score.)
After reset 32 you must start at floor 80 and complete floor 120 before the next reset...so unfortunately it can only really help save you about 18 floors after 32 resets. (Actually about 15 floors after the 2 or 3 Expeditions min. you have to play to jump you straight to floor 99.)
If you are willing to use gold to upgrade your gear, or have a friend that can help carry you...then that can save you quite a few playthroughs, and you won't need as many guilded shards, or lucky drops of good gear from lvls, etc.
This might all be old news, or something people already use, but if not then please let others know and I hope it helps someone else out. :)

hey Jesse, but how do you get up to 7.850 score? it takes either ALOT of mats+gold or you have to grind that gear, you mention it as easy to get to 7.850 but to be honest its a pain either way lol - maybe im missing something?
@@schwanek1896 depends how you do it, me personally I literally have hundreds of every resource I just upgrade my gear to chaos 7 do a Chaos 8 n bang reset again. Or you can progress through onslaught to floor 24 equip chaos 6 to unlock chaos 7 n farm an expedition or 2

Hi Juicebags. Another shorter cut. After a reset, Max a weap and a relic. That will give u enough gear score to immediately start at floor 24 or actually 26. The rest is as you say. :)
Relics don't effect champ score.The route I mention in the video is the "No Gold or Mats" route

Im planning on my first ap reset already farmed 3 gilded destruction and a defense rate. So just upgrade my weapon so i can get straight to floor 24/26?? How much gold and what mats and how many would I need

Use your favorites tbh, I personally use Proton Beams, Weapon Mans Auras, PDT's and Fissures

@@MrJuicebags i hope this makes sense and I wasn’t specific but like the chaos 6 to 7 floor skip mentioned. What floor gives you max 7 gear to go to chaos 8 to do that skip. And for 8-9 also.
Hey folks - big question I have is...I got mad achievements and gold rewards the first time i did a AP reset. Do I get those same gold rewards each time I reset?
Hey Mr.Juicebags I know this video is old, but I was wondering do your mods reset when you AP reset?
Your mods will stay the same quality, but the item they are on drops to campaign level. So you will have to upgrade the relic / weapon etc back up to chaos 7 or chaos 8 after you are done with resets.

Hey Juicebags. Love your videos and guides. In your opinion; can you rush through ancient resets without upgrading equipment and being fairly afk (in other words just sit by while your defenses do the work)? I'm trying to rush through resets and like being afk for waves but I'm having to upgrade my flame aura relic, sky tower, earthshatter, pdt & boost aura to c4 at least to be able to do each reset. I don't upgrade any hyper shards since they're so expensive for max level each time so I only use gilded shards. Still even with upgrading only a few equipment to c4 it's pretty expensive each time. Is there anything you can recommend for my situation?
Yup, the meta for resets is an alt account. In fact quite a few resets can be performed with only running 2-3 maps if you take advantage of the various onslaught / expedition unlocks. Never since the very beginning has it ever been a good idea to blow all your mats upgrading things for AP resets, makes no sense. Even without the alt if you prepared properly and did C9 before your first reset you can then do 50-60 resets easily just in your campaign gear. As far as being AFK goes, well that is sadly the entirety of DD2 gameplay now unless you pass Onslaught floor 945 for some reason. Get your Netflix list in order prior to starting :)
@@MrJuicebags Thank you first of all for a quick reply. Not sure if I'm understanding tbh. Even though I've been playing a while it all is still a bit confusing. I didn't do my first reset till I reached about onslaught 300 just because I didn't understand the whole ancient power need and was quite poor till then. So what is the point of the alt account? Will it benefit my main account? And how? My ascension level is above 3400 currently and when I do a reset my floor starts above 24 or something. What would you recommend I do that would allow me to quickly reset at this point without spending gold and mats upgrading. Thank you for any additional help you can give.
Too bad gear in the vault is affectes by AP reset. It makes sense that it is. But, still.

What would be the fastest way for someone who can't get gilded shards? For example if someone has 2500 hours played but has only managed to get 2 Destruction and 2 Defense Rate shards from packs / drops? Should I play the 500 maps per gild to gild through vendor?
if you actually played the game this much its almost impossible to only have 2 destruction shards, (and if you do you are probably grinding them in the wrong way) and you also can buy them with defender medals, 10k defender medals + the price for upgrade = gilded shard
@@fimas8583 it actually isn't impossible. You have a low percentage to get them so if they don't drop they don't drop. Same with rate. You can buy 10 from the vendor now but at 50 maps per shard that is 500 maps per gild plus the 2 million gold.
Not really sure how you wouldn't have things gilded after that many hours. But if you do have that many, then certainly you have nothing left to spend DM's on so why not? The real question is, do you still want to play after that many hours, if so getting gilded shards is easy mode now for someone that grinds massive hours.
@@MrJuicebags The simple answer unfortunately is no with so many barriers to fundamental play in the game and the latest failure to address the problem it seems pointless. I think even focusing dryad gilding 3 shards at 1500 maps at 10 minutes each is 250 hours or close to setup 1 tower would be major burnout. Another 1k hours grinding just defender medals to finish the dps hero...
It's a late and old post. But I will say something. I just started playing this game 2 months ago. I'm almost done with gilding most of the shards for EV2. So, its about RNG to get the shards you wanted and if you spend on a specific map of your choice. Unholy catacombs or dragon fall town are one of the shortest map to build on. I still need to work on my builder shards though. Running C1, C3 and C4 maps repetitively can be a pain. They should have a feature to save your tower setups after the victory. To save more time.

I just started getting back into this game with a friend recently and so much of it confusing to me, or just really difficult. I recently got EV2, Mystic, and Abyss Lord, but I don't know how to build for the towers I want
I have quite a few hero and defense spotlights on my channel that will give you some ideas. The general rule of defenses is get to the speed cap, find a range you are happy with, then stack power and anti mods wherever possible!
Hi guys, help me please, how to get rid of the shadow killer that gets trapped in our character, chaos 5 I believe, I'm having difficulty with it, I'm loving this game every day, thanks.
I've been stuck on floor 28 for ages, I've got decent marks one at 51k and others at 49k and I think I've got the right shards, but I don't have good mods on relics and stuff, not sure how to set up well enough to win
At floor 28 it is more about using the correct defenses for the job.
@@MrJuicebags I've been trying cannon balls and ballistas for cyborks and flame auras for lanes without cy, but I usually lost to the cybork lanes

I took a year off but was there a update where you can't have a buddy send you gear from c1-c7 and you can just run 10 floors and do a reset? Then rinse and repeat? I remember that's what I was doing and reached 23 resets quickly but now I'm trying to help a buddy out and it doesn't seem to work anymore. I can't find any information on this.
The gear gets synced to your level. So if hes c7 and gives you a 7000 gear score for him, but your c2, it would be 800 gear score or whatever c2 is
what if, after doing an ap reset, you buy crap gear from other players (for a symbolic amount of gold) to unlock C7 or C8 expeditions then do any map and by that you just got past the required floor
Purchased gear gets scaled down to your ipwr.
Since I did my first reset at chaos level 9. Does that mean to do anymore reset I have to do the floors? I think that is hat this whole video is about but I have not heard that. I also thought you side in a new video you would never do onslaughts again and I was not sure why.
I'm a new player without AP reset, i saw this video, i managed to climb floor 266 with Talent Caps 999 and Min Asc Level at 3000, should i reset now and do AP reset at level 30 for multiple times?

So whats the minimum Ac lvl you would recomend? SInce I play alone it takes forever to lvl up
Just like Juicebags said. You need to be near 250 minimum for ascension level for your first AP reset.
How much Ancient Power is enough? Until u unlock all extra skills in there or even more for the extra 5% on XP and Gold? :P
1 AP is enough assuming you get to Chaos 9 before you do it.
What Shards Should I get Gilded before ancient power???
Destruction, Defense Rate, Deadly Strikes on the defenses you end up using.
Can you make fatest build for onslaught?
I have not reset yet but i can barely even do floor 32. I am ascension 272. Any tips? I have destruction, defence and atk rate on my shards. Running ES, flame A. And Lighting strike and i still get wooped. Help me what am i doing wrong. Should i reset? +15 is what it says if i reset.
Build slower and look at the lanes and mutators so you know what is coming. Using just those 3 defenses limits your self to the majority of Onslaught really. You have to build for the challenge that is there, you can't just blanket build!
I have a question , on the calculator is 31 resets right? i tought there is 70 resets? Whats after those 31 or did i Miss something?
There are 70 possible points, there is no limit to the XP or Gold gain bonuses though. So you can reset as many times as you want.
Hey Juice.....is there a minimum ascension level you recommend to reach before doing it for the first time??
depeding on your defenses if your not that strong try to hit 60 but f your powerful hit 110 for 1000+ asc levels

I'm not sure I understand. Should I reset as soon as I can or should I try pushing for the highest possible floor I can reach? I am now AP level 3.
For the first time I reccomend going to floor 300 for the max rewards as it will max out a defense and the easiest way to do that is beating a chaos 9 or 10 map once I'm not sure which one it is anymore.

Hey that mean that the first time you get your item reset to campaign level but by the time it'll remain c1, c2, c3, C4....etc... c7 ?

All of your gears will become campaign level, the only way to get them back to c7 is to upgrade them
will ancient power reset the mods or the item quality? (with item quality i mean that, if i have the best defense power reliq possible, will it be ramdomized or will it keep the high quality?)
It will keep the quality.
So if I go and beat floor 80 do I have to do onslaughts after I ap reset or I just have to reach the required ascension level?
AP resets are all about Onslaught. Each time you reset you have a new starting floor and a new target floor.

If I reset at floor 100 and then next time do I have to beat 101 to raise talent caps and min asc or do they raise a little with each reset no matter what floor you're on?
That is why you push up front before resetting. Get to the minimum ascension you are happy with before starting resets! Your caps go up each time, but your minimum ascension will not.

You can do this to anything that has never been upgraded or tinkered in any way, ruling out any piece that you have put any effort in to sadly.

You don't have to do AP resets :-) I haven't and I still enjoy the game.
@@danisle4379 i know people enjoy it but i am type i enjoy maxing everything and this update just made my 1k h useless And this ruined it for me
@@wOOryParadox if you actually want to maximize everything, you will have to do AP resets, this will give you extras for alot of stuff that you woudn't get, + extra gold and exp

@@xikensnot enought to max out all my items back to c8 i know i dont need all of them just a few relics, but why i even bothered doing all max gear on all characters so i could start again (problem is if ancient power was introduced right away i probably would play dd still today, i just done tons of extra things which dont matter now)
