Just saw that you covered Vincente Fernandez. He was my mom’s favorite artist. Before she passed away, I was able to take her to go see him in concert here in So Cal for her birthday. When she passed away, I made a video of her memories with Freddy Fender’s song “When the Last Tear Drops” and Vincente’s song “Volver Volver” for her services. I can still hear her singing his music while mi abuelo played his records on the record player. May they both Rest In Peace. 🙏🏽❤️

Vicente is a legend. My grandmother played him so much growing up that he feels like a relative. I can’t imagine how the public will react when he’s gone... god, i hate even talking about it cause it would be like losing a grandparent.

He can fill a whole arena with his voice without a microphone. He is amazing in person. His concerts don't have time limits; he says he will sing until the audience is finished hearing him. He is a power house, especially when you consider how long he has been singing like that. I believe he was performing at a concert when he received the news that his beloved father had passed away but he would not end the performance because he was committed to his audience;even as tears were streaming down his face he kept singing.
