Who's idea was it to have the guy guarding the inbounder stand at halfcourt instead of getting back? Most of the time it's the Center. Everyone online inbounds to halfcourt and beats the defense because of this and the many other flaws with transition defense. It just ruins the game online.
+LP East that's how it's done in the NBA, teams walk the ball up the floor on every possession. I have never seen an NBA team sprint up the floor on every possession it's not basketball and it looks terrible
+LP East that's why u don't play vs randoms. If u stick to playing legit sim players u never have garbage like that, and it looks and feels like a real NBA game. a good sim game between two good sim players is fun to play

they should have 2 modes, an arcade mode for cheesers, and a sim mode for people who know the game. it wouldn't be that tough to do. in arcade, the sliders can be set so y ey score almost every time down the floor they can cheese til their hearts content
Try my approach, I don't differentiate between cheese and sim whether I just treat the other guy as enemy lol And what ever tactics he choose to use I am just in it to beat him my way. I find a lot of satisfaction playing that way lol I don't care how you play, as long as I am playing BETTER than you I am happy lol
the cheese takes away from the game you have someone fast break cheese you or keep pump faking to draw the foul or back you down every time so you can't get the ball it just fucks the game up you get tired of people that do this its just a game i play online to play sim guys but nobody sim
sometimes going vertical is best, especially in post, because when u right stick contest, u get a ton of bailout auto fouls. The tackle animation in the post is so annoying. I've found that trash players will try to get cheap fouls late in shot clock, after u shut everything down for 20 seconds, they dump into post and immediately go up for shot, no moves or fakes, just straight up praying to get that animation
+Dorian McClure the worse you are at manual on ball d the higher the slider you want. Don't go higher than 80 tho. And the go is always to work your way down, the best D is all manual D. I am usually at 15 for defensive assist
No matter which basketball game you have, tips in this video is a goldmine for defense. Goal: able to defend with defensive assist of 0 (default defensive assist for online games)

You never explained why your settings were set to play OVER on the pick & rolls in your last video... is this the way to go from now on, or was that just something you happened to do in that particular game? I'm use to going UNDER on all pick & rolls and i find that to work really well in most cases.

Love all the tutorials. How do I beat someone who plays 3-2 zone all the time? I couldn't beat this one guy and all he did was protect the paint. So it was hard for me to run plays or do the flush. Cause he would always double my point guard lol.
this information is very helpful because when I play defense. I would always use the R2 in the my career. so all I gotta do is use L2 and flick the LS. but use R2 if I get beat.
If you off ball and run back to the paint with C or PF that speed cheese stuff won't work. It only works if you choose to on ball the guy speeding down court. Just go off ball and Sprint back into the paint with a big like I do :)

Lets have a talk lol so after watching Middle Tennessee beat Michigan State and Oregon beat Duke both used a 5 out offense or sets with 5 perimeter players, I just played a guy who ate up my defense with GSW with a starting lineup of Curry,Klay,Rush, Barnes and Draymond; 5 perimeter players who can all shoot on fast breaks he would whip around to one of the shooters not to add on Steph has a 99 3 ball, in half court there was so much speed and shooting on the court either I was getting blown by trying to stop Steph and Klay from working me over leading to a kickout 3 to the other 3 shooters or the fact that there's 5 players on the court who have tight or deny placed on them at the floor at one 1 time is leading to the paint being open because Barnes is at the 4 and Greens at the 5 and their interchangeable how would you handle an offense like this; can't play behind on green because other times he's at the 3 or Barnes is on the block and can't play 3/4 top because I can't get boards
I feel RTTP is kind of a bad mode for players who want to play real basketball right now. because of the overpower players it is impossible to stop transition cheese even if i switch to the center right after me scoring. players like LBJ can easily get caught in the dunking animation and score no matter how well i protect the paint during transition. Do you agree?

Do you recommend pressing triangle to block a layup/dunk or the right stick contest?
Triangle while holding LS away from ball gets you verticality animation ^_^ that's what I do

Going under sometimes allow for a lot of rolls. Going over allow fades which in comparison isn't as bad. Obviously still go under on TERRIBLE shooters

During on ball d are varying how close you are to the offensive player based on if they can shoot or not or are you keeping the same depth

Use 3-2 zone freelance or Hawks motion. Attack middle and find hi low or conrer threes. Don't run PnRs
