  • Filmed a bit during my weekend at Donington Park Racing in the National Superstock Championship during the British Superbike weekend. Sorry again it’s not the best but hopefully gives a little bit of insight as to what goes on and I’ll hopefully Continue to improve my vids 😁
    As mentioned in the video this weekend was very much in memory of one of my sponsors Peter Holland who sadly passed away recently. When I mentioned it in the video I didn’t say straight away who I was talking about but it was him, he was fantastic to me and so supportive. I’ll continue to run with his name on my helmet and bike even though he never wanted any recognition, he just wanted to help. We will miss him and will always remember how lovely he was X
    Also I never explained who Mog and Diane are, they are great friends who have come along to watch and support me and we’ve roped Mog (Andrew) Into helping out and he seems to be enjoying it so thank you Mog and Diane for all your help and support :)
    Do my best to get better at the vids and thanks as always for watching xx

    The superstock class has gone crazy this year, the teams & riders at the front are professionals with proper budgets. You are doing a top job, you’re riding well, the bike looks ace and these videos are great too. 👍🏻

    Interesting to hear you talking about the anti-wheelie adjustments. I was marshalling on the chicane exit, and we noticed the difference between the sessions.

    Sylvain Guintoli had a good tip which I applied on track and it helped heaps, he said try only to be either on the gas or the breaks and never in the middle/neutral/coasting phase, also load the front in the turns to turn in faster, and as you know break later and as hard as you dare and most of all relax, relaxing is the hardest thing I find to achieve.

    Enjoy your vlogs a lot, the sheer amount of information you need to take in just to ride on track is massive, can’t imagine what’s it’s like to build and run the bikes yourself, huge respect to you and best of luck

    What a cracking little video Jenny. Just watching from the start how much work goes in with such a small budget you must have. And everyone mucking in to help and comes across as how grateful you are to those who have helped you along your way. All the very best for the rest of the season 👍

    Sounds like you are sorting things out properly. Three seconds off the leaders ain't too bad. Now work out that braking and you'll be down to 1.5 secs.
    When I raced, I raced several regional series and also track clubs to give myself as much bang for the buck seat time as I could. Got within four seconds of the way more experienced, funded, prepared and better bikes in the class. Even won one. Keep chugging along, always find happiness with small improvements and small victories. Smooth is fast...

    Always a good idea to make a "big" opposite change if you are starting out on a new track/ set up etc, and it doesn't feel too good, as you know. Sorry if that sounds wrong in context, but I'm sure you know anyway...GLGL

    This is great! I noticed you were faster on the Honda than you were on the Beemer last year, & I'd imagine that the BMW was a faster bike, no? Which means you are riding it better, right? :-)

    • @fat_biker
      @fat_biker 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      PS: You see all the pro riders going mental on bicycles & motocross bikes before & during the race season, & you do a bit of cycling on mountain bikes as well, & all the top _women_ riders who post their off-track training (I'm thinking Ana Carrasco & Maria Herrera here mainly) add weight training to that mix as well. Given that you have a full time job & a business to run, is there some kind of training & fitness regime that would help you get fit to race a 1000cc bike in the British Championship without actually having to spend time on track to get fit? Do you have a weight room in your garage or a turbo trainer in your kitchen?

    • @jennytinmouthracing
      @jennytinmouthracing  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes defo do weight training it really helps ..I noticed mostly during my Supersport days and increased it for Superbikes …it makes a massive difference 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

      @fat_biker 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@jennytinmouthracing Excellent! And something else to include in a future VLOG - Rocky style training montage incoming :-). I'm guessing no fancy gyms involved, & maybe it'll be empty pop bottles full of sand instead of posh racks of barbells, but it's all part of 'what it takes', right?
