- Dancing in the rain! 🕺
Sit back, relax and enjoy one of the greatest spectacles we have ever seen 🍿
Ryuichi Kiyonari slithering and sliding around Donington Park in a super-wet Superpole session in 2008... Just WOW 😳

All time classic. I remember seeing this in 2008 and being absolutely mesmerized. It has been fourteen years since then and this still doesn't fail to impress me.
Same for me all the time

There was no one there other than the riders, Marshalls and teams, no spectators so you must of been dreaming you were there
@@pippy4658 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 he never said he was there on the stands he said he remembers watching this maybe on tv
@@pippy4658 tv did exist in 2008 fyi
I became a fan of Kiyonari because I fell in love with motorcycle racing after watching "the divine riding of a Japanese rider on a CBR1000RR.
Imagine the best Japanese rider on MotoGP

いやぁ懐かしい。まだバイク乗りたての頃、この動画を見て驚愕したんだ。バイクがこんな動きするわけない、って信じられなかったよ。
In many cases in motorsports, the bike often makes the difference in the standings. especially at this time CBR1000RR fighting power was low. this video was proof that KIYO was at a level worthy of being a champion.
idk rain and dry speed is very different
I would’ve t say the car is at a huge disadvantage its definitely smoother then its rivals and back in those days where electronics are not as capable and tires are not as good that buttery smoothness of the cbr definitely helps

He's a 3 time British Superbike Champion 2006,2007 & 2010.
*Meanwhile, the two Englishmen were seemingly hoping the Japanese racer would drop the bike.*
I have a motorcycle. But i don't watch this sport. But you do not need to be an expert to know that this is legendary stuff.
Love how he approaches the corners; like a work of art, backed with that mesmerising flaunter and lean in - then the wondrous execution with the rear - he then puts on the torque for the front entry and exit - Beautiful, just beautiful - especially when the bike wobbles in harmony for the exiting - as if so out of control yet so in control - Spectacular stuff from Ryuichi Kiyonari - This is what made Casey Stoner's riding in the Motogp easy on the eye - Ryuichi here makes a strong case for why riding is not just about the speed - its about the beauty too!
This video is infact legendary, there should be a hall of fame place for it

Legend!
He is the traction control! 😎😎
He isnt. You can hear the traction control system cut in
@@crosswire7777 still gotta be able to predict and react to it appropriately
@@TheRealSykx actually having no reaction is best. Reacting means chopping the throttle, which leads to high sides. The best thing to do when the rear kicks out is to do nothing at all, that is, maintain the current throttle position and let the rear tire naturally regain traction
when it slides, it's really very satisfying!!!!!!
so mindblowing

Great skills, looked like he was enjoying it
A very mercurial racer. When he felt good and the bike was set up in a way he was comfortable with, he could be absolutely dominant. This video shows what he he had at his peak.
Also he's a 3-time winner of the British Superbike Championship 2006, 2007 & 2010. Absolutely phenomenal rider.
Já vi esse vídeo várias vezes e vou ver muitas outras...

Good but the bike does a lot of work for you on them
My man's riding that CBR1000RR like it's a supermoto
How bikes should still be
0:30 Look at the times. Good old Tom Sykes was faster.
Twin Hafizh Syahrin😂
It might be a good thing to do something about the troll going by the username trant7 motogp.
Other than that, here are few taughts crossing my mind:
- motorcycle tires's hemispheric shape are anti aquaplaning. Car tires are the opposite.
- I thought for a long time it didn't help much around corners. This video proves me wrong.
- TC or not, front braking before the corner isn't affected much.
- TC or not, rear braking isn't affected much since it's barely used, if not at all at the end of a long straight.
Those brief and brutal rear end slide at the end of corners couldn't be recovered without TC. A human reaction time has a limit. This is wet pavement. It's not clay.
All that being said, this display is hard to top!
Now show true talent and do it on a NSR500

Supported Kiyo for many years, when he liked the set up he was unbeatable, if he didn't like it he was average
Nasty!
Never do that without electronics. Do that on a 97 or 98 superbike with no aids. Don't think so...
