I'm from Central Texas--between Waco and Austin--and I MISS my bluebonnets!!! I've been living in the mountain west for a few years now, but after all the snow this year, I'm about done with snow!!! Bah humbug!!!
At any rate, I started knitting again in the New Year, and I've been knitting with Merino wool. That is a game-changer for me! Talk about luxury!!! I used to LOVE to sew with wool...and now I'm grooving on knitting/spinning with wool. When I move back home to Texas, the qualities of wool will still work six months of the year...and the rest of the time, I plan to knit with silk, cotton, and linen for summer.
I haven't knitted socks--yet--but I'm signed up for a "two-at-a-time-toe-up magic loop" next month, and I'm told to look for wool WITH nylon content which extends the life of the wool.

Just finishing watching this episode. Always love to see what you have knit and ideas for new projects. All the bonus content is either relatable or just makes me smile. Happy Stitching and Spring... 🌷

So good to see knitting crochet popular again! My mum was a crocheter and I was a knitter and spinner! Wonder if these videos will get me moving again! Some extremely creative people around! Aussie Lady

The caron blossoms are GORGEOUS I picked up some in really pretty colors and have been struggling to find a pattern I think would do them justice so I definitely appreciate the inspiration ❤

Love your plans! And I think that orangey red definitely needs to be in some socks!

Maybe a sock project every quarter and at the end of 3 years you would have one for every month!

You could also do one pair of socks for every season! 😊takes away a bit of the pressure ;)

Ooooh, I’ve been knitting with cashmere/nylon fingering weight yarn lately and I love it. The sensation of knitting with it is so silky and comes off the needles so well. I recommend getting some more and making cashmere socks - seriously, luxury.

I love all your color options for the grandmas quilt socks! 😍

I love dusty pinks and rose pinks and dusty blues and dusty, soft creams but I usually crochet with lots of vibrant colours or variegated yarns. I love bright, fun and happy colours to crochet with but softer more earthy/dusty colours to wear. I also really love the name Wylder and have been contemplating the name as a character name for my next novel so maybe this is my sign! The patterns you picked are going to work up wonderfully with the yarn you've got, I think, and so I am excited very much to see what you come up with! This is my very first video seeing by you and would loooove to watch more so here I go! ^-^/

I think the original 3 color sock yarns you pulled out are SO cute together. The orangy color with the yellow and blue are just so pretty!

I’m the queen of crying about how long fingering weight garments take lmao, but I still want some summer ones too! Can’t wait to see what you decided!
