I never really comment on TH-cam but I’ve been watching you for years now, just wanted to say it’s impressive how far you have come on your farming journey. It’s inspiring to see someone succeed. Hope to farm someday myself.
Thank you very much for that comment. It has been a hard struggle and I hope that we can keep it. The key is to not give up, to keep faith, surround yourself with people that believe in you, and know that what you are doing is right. God bless
Beautiful farm. I live in MN bluff country so most people's hills look small and some of our rocks need picking with a dozer or you just go around, we get sinkholes too 😄. i guess sinkholes and rocks are like the yin/yang of fields. We get poison hemlock here but the battle for this area has been wild parsnip. I don't remember it as a kid, ragweed and thistles were the bad ones, but heavens these days wild parsnip is gross and everywhere. Its similar that if you kill it before seeding it won't spread. Its so out of control in some places its sad.
That purple flower, is called Dead Nettle. Now would be the time to brush hog around that pond, now that everything is dead and you can see the ground. Then you can have more ground to plant. Thanks for giving us a tour of some of your ground.Great video
We have been getting so much rain it's crazy. I really thought I would end up spinning tires the day I was out but the surface was mostly dry. Dig down a couple inches and it was wet again otherwise I would have been full on into tillage!
@@wannabefarmer6056 I'm up in Pennsylvania just south of Lake Erie, and we been getting alot of rain also, and it looks like there's alot more to come,I was just saying its alot easier to brush hog when everything is dead and you can see what laying around, then when everything is green and full.Yea I can understand not wanting to get stuck, that's no fun,or breaking the front pedestal of your tractor. You have to work around mother nature
Nice to see some of your farm. Hope to see more. That pond is great!
Congrats on your new farm. Take care of those coyotes, especially with having sheep
Looking good buddy be safe out there your buddy from Nebraska
You have a great farm, the story of you Grandpa is awesome
It is nice to look "UP" sometimes.. sad that many people don't know and believe to do that sometimes.

You could put a Dock in that pond would add a whole new dimension to it. Especially for your kids.
