i love the different version of lyrics to Going To Hell in this one! and the others too. "I've been out on my own, I been gettin' real high. I go and get what i can life's crazy cause, I know we're all gonna die. Well I live in a dream, and it's not going well and there's no one to tell me, I'm Going To Hell." I got a full Jonestown concert on my channel from 8-24-12 in Boston for anyones viewing pleasure
thanks amigo. i had to film these shows @ the point by standing on a chair very still toward the back of the room...was still finding my footing filming bands, so to speak. but happy peeps be enjoying it. aside from the audio in one-channel only deal, which i'm not sure how to explain...my guess is something happened when the video was compressed for uploading purposes.
I know, right? Me too! I found this amazing video of a BJM show from France last year Le Cabaret Vert - couldn't believe they were still active and I'd been missing out, plus they sound the best ever. I can't go a day without watching that show
Such a great band and so underrated. I don’t know of any other band where the tambourine man is front and center and just kills it every time. All while being on another planet too 😂 love Joel ❤ I remember the first time I heard of these guys it was in 04’ and I was 18 ..my friend who was into independent music had their record on and it was such a mood setter. I recently lost that friend to an OD and BJM brings back so many happy memories for me. Thanks for the happy memories guys 💫🪐
@@josevillarreal9920 The problem with that is that they're looked at as this untouchable band with 0% that anyone will usurp their work with better shit .... I do love the Beatles and all but theres better written albums out there than those two
they were better with jeff, matt and dean. the jeff and dean guitar tandem is one of the best ever, and matt on bass. the lineup that recorded the 1996 trilogy and strung out
Joel is high as a kite as per usual. Awesome job on this, particularly given nearly 15 years ago. Audio is superb and video nearly as stellar. Nice work.
How did Anton fuck up? He's living a happy and productive life, making and releasing amazing music free from interference by The Man. Maybe you measure success by swimming pools and how well you do in the 'hit parade', but I'm sure he doesn't!
This is fantastic, thank you so much for sharing this very cool show. Nice camera work too. It's hard to be creative with one camera(I know)...this documents the show in a very good way. And the sound is very fine as well.
Well vacantmoon, Thanks so much for the masterpiece. These are some of my favorite songs in the world. I've seen BJM at least a dozen times and this Strung out In Heaven Tour was one of the best!
theres been a couple of other shorter videos of this concert up for years. seen from down in the crowd centre. now you can see the guy who was filming those !(24:03). time is weird
stop critics on him , i think its hard to play on LSD im a musician too and i hav repect for him ; every people on this fkkkin youtub always say "huh he pays it wrong ....patatata " do it better if you can this version of sue is just .....incredible

Wow you sound so fucking bitter. Stop projecting your jealousy onto other people, just because you're a jealous shell of a human doesn't mean that's the only reason people ever comment on things. Anton is talented... and also crazy. It's perfectly fine to notice that he is insane and point it out... and still be a fan. The commenter you replied to is awesome for time stamping key points in the video. Quit your whining.
I think that might be a guy called Travis Threlkel. I'm sure Anton calls him Travis at some point during the set. He plays on a couple of their records.
I don’t like the comparisons to the dandy warhols. The dandy’s are pop trash who were hellbent on becoming famous. BJM on the other hand are true artists who’s songs have real staying power. No comparison.
Actually I think those ringers are the Colfax Abbey guys who went out w Anton after his band broke up following the bust in the movie. But no Matt & Pete and Dean are gone so that’s why I think it’s C.A. They also backed up Anton at the Linda’s Doll Hut gig.
Sorry, I'm sub-amateur when it comes to posting comments and the like, so please feel free to copy and paste this, in a nice, easier-to-read list, in the description or what-have-you, if you so desire. If not, I hope this is some small help to thems that would inquire after such information. The non-list format is driving me batty, but perhaps it will be of some use. Cheers.
😂😂😂... dude that is spot on and such an obscure reference to an already obscure band!!! I might be the only one who ends up appreciating this comment!!! 😂
Wow 1/2 hour classic closer Five Buck Sue. Neither Matt, nor Pete, nor Dean are in this iteration and that’s their era so I think the mystery bass and guitar guys are either Charles Mehling and James Ambrose or Colfax Abbey . But I’m guessing it’s hard to tell with tape degradation.
my left ear appreciates this

Can you fuck up a tambourine? Asking for a friend.
Tambourine is hard, and can bruise you easily, Id say he has better feel than solid metronome timing though.
@@mrichards2788 Yes. You should see if your friend can play along in time with you on guitar if hes never played one.

I've recently found this video, thank you so much for your song titling
Jeff davies solos are the best thing ever
Anton's shirt - YOU DRIVE FAST, I'LL DO THE DRUGS
Pretty sure that was a catchphrase that used to be on loads of dandy Warhols merch around that time

Actually, kites point to each other and say that they are as high as Joel :D

oh no, he just always looks like that.

Saw them then in Seattle with Lucky Me, BJM & Dandy Warhols. Joel never left the stage. Incredible night!

Not by their true fans, and there a lot of them all over the world. They just never "broke", thank god, then the idiots would be in on it too.
