@@MosesMatsepane There’s a big problem with neumorphism. It’s not accessible. It’s not just the low contrast between the background and clickable elements that’s an issue. A poorly chosen monochrome color palette could make the interface hard to read or engage with for some users as well. Some designers have suggested adding color to the borders of the UI element or to the text or icon within it. But that goes against one of the key defining characteristics of the trend. So, if you can’t design neumorphism as is … what’s even the point? x)

what subscription plan are you using? I upgraded to the professional plan so i can publish the community assets but now I can not use the fonts! it would be nice if you say at the beginning of your tutorial the prerequisites in order to follow along with you. this is so frustrating trying to figure out this for the first time.
Can anyone tell me how to add the iOS 15 UI kit to our figma account from the community? In many videos I've seen that developers were getting an option like "Make a copy" to add that UI ki. But when I'm trying to do the same, I'm getting an option like "Open in Figma". Should we need to subscribe for a premium account to get that?

As a UX designer. Sorry to burst the neomorphism bubble. It will never catch on because there are many usability and accessibility issues. Yes it looks nice, but unless your company that the design is for is in the business of getting sued, this design will never fly.

Out of curiosity, what do you mean when you talk about getting sued? I figured bad/inaccessible design would lead to a lack of a user base and lower customers, but can companies actually be sued for inaccessible design?
@@brianestepa2376 No problem at all! Yes companies can get sued for accessibility issues, also known as ADA compliance in the US. There are lawyers that specifically searche websites or apps to find these issues and then suing the company. ADA is multi-layered and includes many rules, but contrast is one of them. If the text and background color doesn’t have enough contrast, then the visually impaired will have difficulty reading it. Which is why neomorphism is pretty to look at but zero adoption rate.
I'm so sorry but I am so confused. I do not know how to access the iOS 15 community library in the project area as it does not allow me to publish. do I need to have a Figma professional subscription?
It already comes with Figma. Just type "A" to create an artboard and choose the device suitable for your current phone. All resources are on the description.🙂
