    This is extremely helpful. I make all my own props and an egg is next on my list

    Thanks for showing us the problems you ran into. That helps a lot to know what might be normal if attempted.

    Amazing!! Your egg 🥚 is gorgeous just like your baby & wife! I woke up with an idea to make an egg for myself for a photo shoot. Lots to think about. 🤩

    I love it! It is exactly the same way that I was thinking to do it but smaller as an easter decoration for my dinning table!

    WOW, great idea, awesome job. Liked how you pointed out ways it went wrong and suggestions. I think a newborn size would be easier to make, which is what most photographers need. How about a new video on newborn size? Keep up great work. Subscriber from Florida.

    Great little video. I had already started making a New Born Prop sized egg, when I decided to see if anyone else had made one. I'm making mine having started with a balloon, but I'm using plaster bandages to get the cracked open shell look. Once it's finished, I'll let you see the outcome.

    Very informative! I just treated myself to a very large metal dragon sculpture, and she will need a nest of eggs. I want one cracked open, and to have a hatchling dragon nearby (which my blacksmith boyfriend and I want to make ourselves if all goes well). I'm now pondering how to make a paper mâché egg last outside (even if it's for one season at a time). I'm sure there is some kind of sealer that would suffice. :-) Great job!

    Your egg came out WAY nicer then mine is coming along! I did not do nearly enough layers and I’m coating my egg in a type of clay so I can do a scary texture to mimic a more artistic interpretation of a dinosaur egg for newborn photography idea. I hope mine can come out as good as yours but it needs a lot of TLC from the clay cracking

    • @LiatachMakes
      @LiatachMakes  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Ah, yes clay would be problematic with even a little flex. Perhaps a layer of fabric and if you are after texture paint or glue with sand in. Good luck

    • @LiatachMakes
      @LiatachMakes  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi, as stated in the video: wheatpaste glue is 4:1 water to flour, well cooked plus generous helping of salt as a mould inhibitor. I think I used about 1 and a half 4L batches.

      @@cutiedew69 I eyeballed the salt, too much might interfere with the glue. Try a quarter to a half a cup. Consider a powered insect poison like boric acid if that might be a problem for you too.
