Thank you for taking us through the whole process. Yes, it's much better to do spot removal in Photoshop than Lightroom. It's much much better.

Thanks Pye! Awesome tutorial as usual. My first baby boy is due mid May and looking forward to some garage shoots!

Hey Pye, nice work! Just one thing, doing stuff like spot removal, masking, brushes etc, it's slower (for the pc) when done after the colour correction stuff, because LR applies changes over the image while needing also to render your colour correction. Doing spot removal and brushes first, and colour correction after, will speed you work quite a bit, pc will run much faster doing brushes and spot removal on unedited pictures. That's why you're seeing lags in local adjustments.

GFX 100S are a amazing camera 📸 it’s sad that you or it front focus. It is a preproduction camera with beta firmware. I don’t understand why people are so mean about it. I’m a Canon shuttler. No need to talk trash about Hi End cameras. Pye you are one of the best active you tube photographers.

Very cute baby! And so nice of Fujifilm to send you that camera and lens to try out.

Any camera taking pic of the cute baby would result a beautiful photo

While the edit process is very informative, and some edits like eyes are valuable, I somehow like the overall look n feel of the "before" image compared to the "after" image :)

Thanks! I don’t understand why using such a shallow depth if field in this type of portraits?

It’s pretty typical for baby and newborn genre. Because babies are soft and cuddly unlike high fashion photography.

Eyes should be sharp and then if you want to soften them than that is ok , but if they are not in focus to start with you do not have that option. Color grading is fine. Pye did you use a reflector, like the pin option with the brush

nice tuto. I am very interested with that topic because my daughter has just given birth to a baby girl and asks me to make pictures for her book. If we don't have such beautiful natural light, how can we lighten the scene, especially for baby below 1 year ? I saw nice godox tutos using LED FV150 (400euros) with 80-100cm octabox against the bed or westcott icelight 2, better than flashing the baby eyes 100 times but recently a photographer told me the eyes of a baby are very sensitive to light and continuous led lighting is less good than a low power fast flash (ie ad200pro or ad400pro).

Trust me - your ‘garage’ is HUGE compared to that of an average UK household & the sunlight is something we only dream of - it’s just not a well titled video.

Using a 100MP camera that gives a front focused image....what a waste of resolution and money!
    The soft eyes are disappointing.

Why did you shoot in jpeg when you had a medium format camera?

The sound is all over the place here, and therefore very distracting to the tutorial.

Hey Pye, cute daughter.... You do know that baby girls are gods punishment for being teenage boys.. Your've got two... must have been really bad. Great shot as always and love the edit.

Cute baby, great tips, but it was jarring every time you said newborn, she is clearly not a newborn (maybe 6 months old?)

Great video, but providing a sample photo that isn't well focused is terrible - kinda hits your credibility. All that equipment and the photo isn't sharp where it counts the most... YIKES

Every GFX100/100s image that I've seen was disappointing so far. Not sharp at all or too much noise. Sorry, I can't understand why people say it's great.

Use iridient developer or capture one for Fujifilm files. Adobe is useless
