Thanks James! One day I hope to be so good at something that you comment on Morley's video and say that's Grant worthy🤣🤣 sadly I think that will only happen if Morley makes some kind of beer project🤣
Grant, that's a really nice earring. The making process looks simple, but the earrings are very beautiful. Your wife looks so happy. It's a great Valentine's Day gift.👍👍👍
Mastering even more skills!! The earing came out extremely well. Pretty earrings for a pretty young lady! Husband of the week award granted to Grant! 👍
Thanks so much Christy! I give partial credit to Austin for bullying me into wet-forming the leather to make it more realistic looking! lol. I am glad at least one person likes the music, it is a big departure from the norm on my channel 🤣
Brother that was awesome man, great video... that was absolutely amazing work and to watch, really liked the process and how you did the walk through 👏 well done man, and the misses seemed extremely happy 😊, keep up the amazing work brother 🙌
Great video, I've been admiring your leather work on Instagram for the last few weeks, it's been awesome to see your skill levels progression, keep up the great work!
@@TheGrantAlexander it's up there on my list of things to do, I brought a leather starters kit last Maker's Central but never really sat down and used it. After seeing your stuff I know who to ask questions 😅
Hi Grant, They look brilliant. I have thought about doing some leather work but as I don't have any of the materials or tools I have been put off by the potential cost of buying everything for something I may not like or be any good at so would not use very much, a 12" by 12" piece is leather is about $35 here. Great video Grant. Take care. Cheers, Huw
Thanks Huw! I had the same feeling so I bought a cheap set of tools from Amazon (about $20) and so far they have served me pretty well. I did find the cost of material to be more of a factor, but of you want to try something it is going to cost. ☺️
Very nice work Grant. That little edging tool is very neat, is it difficult to sharpen? (I always end up worrying about sharpening...) Thanks mate and say hi to Pyro Girl and the Grantlet.
Thanks Mark! I have only started working with leather so I haven't had to sharpen then yet. I assume it's like the woodworking v groove tool and you have to make/buy something that fits perfectly into the V and use some stropping compound. They are also cheap enough that if I ever make them dull I'll just upgrade to a better version made of higher quality steel. 🤣 I've passed along your hello ☺️
Well done young sir!, what is the stuff you used to make the leather brown and then black? Does it keep it´s form once it is dried, or does it want to go back flat after a while?
Thanks Yves! Great questions. I used dark brown leather dye, it might look black, but it's just dark brown. If it doesn't get wet again it will hold its shape indefinitely. ☺️
That's Morley worthy mate. Loved the mold, the extra dimension sets them off.
Thanks James! One day I hope to be so good at something that you comment on Morley's video and say that's Grant worthy🤣🤣 sadly I think that will only happen if Morley makes some kind of beer project🤣
Right on man, that'll keep you in beer for a while 👍👍
Haha one can only hope🍻🍻
They look gorgeous! Very nice set of leather earrings. This video was very inspiring. Thanks you Grant, cheers 🍻
Thanks Boris! I can't wait to see you do some leatherwork in your upcoming videos 🍻🍻
@@TheGrantAlexander ☺️👍🍻

Thanks so much! It is pretty simple and I think anyone could do it if they wanted to. Thanks for watching! :)
I really like this project! that was a good looking EC x-acto knife.
Thanks Emmett! It was a lot of fun to make. I agree, Ethan makes some nice leather x-actos!
You made that look easy, the earrings look so nice!
Cheers!
Thanks Adam! Making things look easy is such a nice compliment 😊

Thanks so much! Sadly I have them to her last week so my husband of the week is already up. Gotta make her some more🤣🤣
That’s awesome and the look on her face I’m sure was worth every second of this project. Love the bloopers at the end as well! 😂
hahah thanks! Was totally worth it, and I didn't even show the four prototypes I made before figuring out how to get the leaves to look this good!
Great project! Spot on idea for the leather mold...perfect shape! Really liked the music choice too!

A lot of good techniques and tricks. The outtake at the end was great. 👍🏻
Thanks Jacob! The outtakes are usually my favourite part of the video, glad someone stuck around til the end up see them🤣
Lovely gift made from the heart, love how you are taking on new crafts mate & that’s what it’s all about 🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺🍺👌👍
Thanks Dirk! It's been fun learning something new. Gotta try done skills that can be done in the heated workspace🤣 hope you are doing well 🍻🍻👍
Nice job Grant! That molding technique with the wood was a great idea!
Thanks Austin! I wonder who have me that great idea??🤣
Awesome, man! That mold is a really cool idea. And the ending is very sweet :)
Thanks so much Morley! The mold worked way better than I thought it would! Thanks for giving me the intro into leathercraft😁

They came out great Grant. I need to get back to doing some leather work someday.
Thanks Don! Leather is fun, but you seem to enjoy the woodwork, so just keep doing the thing you love!
@@TheGrantAlexander I enjoyed leather work too. I did some back in high school and still have some of my tools.
Well then I expect the next video to include some leather work🤣🤣😁
