Does your model have gaged ears and wearing a traditional style pierced earrings with it? I didn't know you could do that! Your designs are really cool!
Matt - you can also get some Gum Tragacanth to use to smooth and finish off the back and edges of the leather. I use it on my leather earrings that I make - love it.
I like this video a lot - would you be willing to do a longer version and slow down and explain the wire wrapping a little more? I'm still really struggling and I do better with slow instructions
I wanted to focus on the leather. The wrapping is mostly very simple loops and a few simple swirls. You can slow down the video to 1/2 or even 1/4 speed and turn the sound off and it might be easier to see. But most of what I did is like beginning wrapping, it's just how I incorporated the leather that is different.
mzsarable You can slow the speed on the video by touching the video screen, wait until the dots pop up in the upper far right of the screen.. tap those and a menu will pop up. Hit speed and choose to watch it at .5. Then touch the video again and everything Will Slow Down. 😁
OMG! Thank you guys so much! I never knew I could do that with my phone! I normally watch the videos on my TV when I'm doing the work. I only watch the videos on my phone to give Matt an extra View. But that's going to change now that I know how to slow the video!
I never thought of spray painting leather, thank you.
You're very creative. Thanks for sharing
Very nice. Thank you so much for the idea !

You are so creative and amazing I love to watch you make art work of all kinds.
This gives me some ideas for cloth pieces stiffened up with interfacing.
If my ears were pierced if have a set. Beautiful Matt. 🙌

Yes, you can slip the earring hook underneath the gauge

nice designs :)
Matt, sometimes my leather is to thin and flimsy for earrings. Can you tell me the best leather for earrings? Thank you
glue several pieces together if it is too thin. Let them dry between 2 books.
Awesome , havnt got any leather, although got leather Cord & am sure can make some Earrings or Pendant with it 😁
or what to use to make it a little stiffer

Not necessarily a longer version, but maybe breakdown the wire wrapping a little more
