Here's an hand from The Big Game PLO edition that was recently played in Kings Casino Rozvadov, with the likes of Leon, Isildur, Tony G, Sam Trickett, Jan Peter, others high rollers and some Party Poker guests.
The blinds for this game were 100/100, although it was common to see straddles from a few hundreds to even thousands of dollars. Players were at least 20k deep and some had stacks over 100k (thousands of big blinds deep).
In this hand we go over an important principle that applies often when shortstacking but can also be applies to deep games when the SPR on the flop is low particularly for one player, like Viktor Blom in this pot.
In these spots, players should be very aware of the stack sizes in play and use bet sizing and relative position to their advantage, with the goal of realizing their own equity and forcing their opponents to forfeit their own. We'll take a look at analysis done with a poker solver to see what GTO strategies look like.
Let me know if you enjoyed this video and want to see more action like this broken down to its fundamentals.

this is next level content and it's entirely free of charge. I remember when "do not 3bet rainbow aces oop against multiple opponents when you're deep" was groundbreaking advice. Amazing what you can learn on YT nowadays. Chicagojoey would not be happy with u sharing this one :). Thanks, Fernando! Great stuff.

This is so much better than analysing a hand just on the holdings that happened to play out on stream. Kudos

I know that this not the main point, but there cannot be two 9s of clubs in the deck at 11:59. :)

After Tony bet 11k and Isildur1 ships for 13700, is Trickett allowed to re raise there?

Oliver I'm pretty sure you can raise the pot in that spot.

Yes for sure, but if Trickett just calls, Tony can't come over the top.

Every time I play and I hold blockers....GUESS WHAT??? They still have the higher set I’m blocking or get the straight I’m blocking as well. Blockers just get you into trouble.
