Almost 100% of released recordings today are auto-tuned and quantized to the grid to some degree. It's the way it's done by professional level recording studios.
Saw these guys at warped tour yesterday. Skipped around in a circle pit holding hands with people in the pouring rain during this song. Best part of the day c:
Chris- met your Aunt and Uncle recently, they were awesome and so was the show! You and the bad have always been a great inspiration for all us lost turds. Thank you and LTJ!!! Your lyrics since the 90’s have kept us smooth like left out butter, since the 90’s. Please know you and all LTJ is revered and appreciated- as great music bridges time and those who needed a kick in the ass to stop, and smell the music!!! RH
@@ProfessorGroyper no, not really, they're all still touring, releasing new songs every now and then, and going strong. Also, The Interrupters joined the scene.
Does anyone else see a really deep kind of hidden meaning in this video?? Like the time attacking the things he loves?? Idk, the song is awesome though xD
The vocals aren't heavily pitch corrected, not any more than any other band's albums, but they're overcompressed and double-layered so they sound super flat with the reverb pumped back in to make it "breathe" after the fact. It's basically just too much production and in the wrong order. Still pretty good, but it does sound weird, like it's not on a master reverb channel and the cymbals and guitar highs drown it.
***** I don't think you quite know what you're talking about - that or you're all theory. All of this technology has done EXACTLY what you say musicians can't do - they absolutely, 100% CAN get away with sounding like shit but put out a decent sounding album. That's PRECISELY what technology has done. Really don't know what you think you're saying, lol.
mackuss I think he was trying to say that they're not being hampered by sub-par equipment, though you make an equally valid point. Regardless, I saw them last winter and they still sound just as good live.
Saw ltj live recently and they fucking killed it! Also pumped that they released this on Fat. But HOLY FUCK that pitch correction tho. No offense to ltj but how could they think this was okay to release? Some tracks on this cd are worse than others, but the thing that upsets me is they don't need it! Listen to gnv fla, even if they used minor pitch correction on there it's completely transparent. This is just bad. No one was complaining about their singing.
For those who say this album is completely auto-tuned....I invite you to see them live....LESS THAN JAKE is a band that ALWAYS delivers.
Dont cry
+Alex McDonald Don't be edgy
+wubanga10154 fak off ;)
wubanga10154 and Robert Samble you guys are hot

This doesnt even come up searching "less than jake" the algorithm wants this song hidden. Pity, easily a top 5 LTJ song

- Real Big Fish
- Less Than Jake
- Sublime
- Goldfinger
- Streetlight Manifesto
This song was released 6 years ago. Ska is dead and all of these bands let us down.

@@pvshka Who? They support Hillary Clinton and they don't even have horns. Absolute posers.

Band using manifestation techniques
holy shit since when did Disney do videos for LTJ? great song though
2018 :)
Why do the vocals sound so strange on this album? It sounds like it has been pitch-corrected or something.
Auto-tune. Haha
I hear it too, might be over compression - and age catching up a little.
hehe I always thought it was because they're getting older

It's not pitch correct it's the mix. Chris and Roger can really belt it out
Seems like bands I like make videos for the songs I precisely dislike
