      Richard Dawkins is evil for promoting thousands of "gender normalization" surgeries on children under the age of 14 due to the absurd views that impose these harmful surgeries. In Poland alone, in 2021 alone, 6,800 genital surgeries were performed on intersex children, where the overwhelming majority of 99% were caused by adapting the appearance to "normal" genitals, where a huge number cause mutilation of the people subjected to these surgeries, including loss of sensation in the perineum and the ability to see the pleasure of love.
      He believes that there are few intersex people (according to his smallest possible scale of counting intersex people, 10 million people in the world is too few to be considered people worthy of legal protection) to be sufficient to change the abstract definition in biology (because it has been changed in medicine) and that is why he does not recognize HUNDREDS of scientific studies in this field and considers this a reason to impose restrictions on freedom for people he officially despises as subhumans whose freedom and right to self-determination he does not recognize.

    Even to say that it's possible to "think like a woman" gives a lot of weight to sexist stereotypes. If you don't define sex by reproductive biology, there's no way to define it that ::doesn't:: rely on sexist stereotypes.

    • @UncleKennysPlace
      @UncleKennysPlace 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Sex is purely biological, and certainly not binary (though it's _largely_ binary.)
      Gender is a social construct, and thus meaningless for many purposes.

    • @ijansk
      @ijansk 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      That's because the only way a man can claim to be a woman is by clinging onto sex roles given that biology already denies their attempts to be seen as women. Also the fixated fetish some heterosexual men have with lesbians who they want access to.

      Absolutely. How can a trans-identified male KNOW that he thinks 'like a woman' since he has never been a woman and therefore cannot possibly know how a woman thinks. Of course, it cannot occur to him that 'a woman' does not exist, only WOMEN exist, each one of whom thinks very much as an individual rather than via a hive mind or in conformity with sexist gender stereotypes. Quite demeaning to women, I would say.

      On science he makes sense, but when it comes to Gender, he is clueless. He exposed that when he made the claim trans people just claim to be the Gender they want to be and think that makes them that Gender. A transwoman is just a woman born with a penis. And a transman is just a man born with a Viginia. It is just that simple, He knows and even admits a person can be born with both male and female Gentelia at the same time (hermaphrodites) therefore one set has to be the wrong one, correct? Well, that is the definition of a transperson. Someone born with the wrong Gentelia or in the wrong body whatever.

    • @goranmilic442
      @goranmilic442 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +8

      Their talk between 1:00 and 2:00 shows that question "what is a woman" is purely linguistic. Trans people don't deny biology, since they don't claim they have organs they don't have. And Dawkins admits there is a woman's brain, he just dislikes calling that person woman, which is linguistic issue.

      “There is no absolute morality and there is no absolute truth.”
      Chris Hitchens
      For some reason the priest of atheism asserted this as such, but then again we all have our blind spots.
      Going back to his argument. If there is no absolute truth and no absolute morality then there is subjective truth (opinion) and moral preference.
      You might prefer children and I might disagree.
      This is your preference. Who am I to stand in your way…
      You might believe there is a god and I might disagree.
      These are just your opinions, who am I to disagree, as the song goes…
      You might believe men can be pregnant. It’s your opinion.
      Dawkins is an old-school atheist, one who has been raised in a sea of Christianity, that is why he seeks to discover [absolute] truth through the scientific method.
      All the while he is utterly oblivious to the fact that it is Church’s apostasy that brought about this militant atheism and the nonsense of transgenderism…
      Cheers, infidels. You deserve it.

    If you remove whatever JKR has said, remove the context of her controversies and just look at it as a person who stood up for their beliefs against the mainstream: I think JKR is incredibly brave and admirable. She sacrificed being one of the most beloved children’s authors of all time to fight for something she believes in knowing full well how people behave on the internet and what will happen to her. JKR is not scared of other people’s opinions of her. She doesn’t need validation from others. That’s power. I wish I had that sort of strength of character.
    It angers me that JKR will never feature on books like Little People Big Dreams because she’s become the scapegoat of toxic trans activism’s frustrations. JKr couldn’t be more gentle in her criticisms of some of the trans movement. If she is “evil” then everyone is, in some way, irredeemable.

    My understanding of the situation involves a person always feeling to have been someone of the opposite sex born in the wrong body. Many of them say the same thing, namely, that from their first memories they have felt this and nobody gave them this idea. The fact that I do not understand it beyond the above words does not make it wrong or crazy; it is simply beyond my experience. I am glad that I never have had to deal with this. How awful. It seems nature has played a really nasty trick on some unfortunates.

      Nobody knows what it feels like to be another person whether they are male or female. I’m male, my best friend is male, but I don’t know what it feels like to be him. We share interests, sure, but we are not the same. So it bugs me when people say stupid things like “no man knows what it is to feel like a woman” well, neither does a woman know what it is to feel like another woman, expect the biological side of things, like menstruation etc. But psychologically, we are uniquely individual. Society is hell bent on placing people, especially those in a minority into a box, stick a label on it and place it on a shelf. In my opinion, everyone has their own box, there’s nobody else in there with you, because ‘ you are you, no one can know what it is to be you, and absolutely NOBODY has the right to tell you how to live your life’ which, is very short, so live to the full and BE YOURSELF.

      If you're even remotely interested in having a true opinion in the trans debate, you should probably spend some time listening to people who are going through the experience of being in the wrong body. It's called trusting other human beings. And you can still disagree with them afterwards. But so many issues today could be resolved by just having conversations with people outside of your bubble.

      I think you are doing the topic a disservice by mixing together all gender issues into one "trans" topic. Transsexuality is an established diagnosis within psychology, while the long list of pronouns is not. That trans-women can't always enjoy the same rights that CIS women do - like in sports, is yet another topic, and many transpeople seem to understand this very well. Claiming that transsexuals are just confused men that need to snap out of it, I feel is beyond both you and JK. It's not about having a different gender behaviour than what is traditional. It's about identity, and I'm sure you can agree that feeling like a man is not connected to you "liking sports or cars". It's far deeper than that. With the pronouns-club, however, it may not be. Never simplify a topic that for many people is a matter of life and dad.

      Consider how much money you’d have to be paid to permanently transition and go out in public, be with friends, family, at work etc. For a lot of people that figure does not exist. Obviously someone driven to do that voluntarily has a very different experience of themselves than you do. When you have a large number of people reporting a similar experience, it think it is rather arrogant and narrow minded to say “I can’t conceive of their experience, therefore it isn’t real.” As for what to do about it, that is a much harder question, but i will go out on a limb and suggest that one of the least qualified people to consult is JKR.

    I do not know nor have I ever met a trans-person or a man who believes he's a woman and vice-versa, but what I think is that it would take an enormous amount of courage to say in public that you had become someone from the opposite sex. Think of how one's life would change forever with life-long friends abandoning you and family going through the roof and how one's mother would react or father. However, rather than have anything negative to say about their choice in life, I think the best thing is to simply accept their choice and not much more than that. Stay neutral. All you can say really is, "oh, I didn't know you felt that way." Why do I say that? Because life on its own just being the person you were born as and growing up a boy and becoming a man for example, is already a great challenge for a lot of men. Think of how complex one's life would be by outwardly saying that you have now changed sex because you thought about it and that now you are of the opposite sex! Do you see what I mean? I think we have to just accept the people who go over that line-in-the-sand navigate their way to where ever it is they are going and not get emotional about it or condemn them in any way, because they have got to live in the world too and more power to them if they feel they found their purpose in life.

      It can be courage that brings a person to 'come out' as Trans but so often it coexists with arrogance, anger and entitlement. It can also be a Fetish. There's a difference between getting on with ones life and trying to 'shove down the throat of everyone' your way of life. @@TEKANNON-bz9fm As with every group there are always extremists and the silent majority are not heard from by definition. I'm Gay but my sexuality is only part of me. Basically I am Nicholas. An Englishman who happens to be Gay. Gay doesn't define me or control every aspect of my life. I expect RESPECT for who I am in totality. I don't expect 'special or different' treatment due to my sexuality. I also don't demand that everyone accepts my sexuality. People have a right to their opinion. However I have a right to be treated equally.
      The trouble with extremists, be they Political, Sexuality, Gender...etc. driven is that some do not want equality but rather to be treated specially with extra rights and considerations. A sort of Equality Plus ! This is wrong.
      TRANS are people of course and should be respected like everyone else else. But this works both ways and respect should be equal. If you have a Male Body, i.e. a Penis, then no matter if you wear a Dress you should realise that your presence in an environment intended for only Females, with Vaginas, is not appreciated. Males are generally physically stronger and are also the main sexual Predators. How many times do you get Women that want to enter Male Changing rooms for sexual excitement ? Women that think going into Male Toilets is sexy. Women that stealthily control an environment and lay in wait to physically pounce on and RAPE a Man ? I'd suggest NEVER ! The reverse situation of Men manipulating situations to abuse Women sexually is far too common.
      For all these reasons above Trans Women ARE NOT WOMEN. They are Men that either just wear a Dress or have undergone Hormonal and Surgical treatment in order to IMITATE a Woman. They may say they're a Woman, may feel like one, dress like one etc. However their DNA and their early development has been that of a Male and this CANNOT be changed by any amount of Hormone taking or Surgical Procedures.

      Some can't distinguish between that, sure. However a lot of people, including me and likely JK Rowling, don't think there is any difference and that the concept of a social constructed gender is more or less made up. What Dawkins said in the clip is that men can be more feminine and women more masculine in their ways or thinking. It doesn't change their gender/sex (gender = sex). To accept and embrace this range, the possibility that a man can be feminine and women masculine, should have been enough for everyone.
      Neither JK Rowling nor me have anything against transwomen or transmen. Live as you like. But don't force other people to believe in your fake narrative.
      I have seen this narrative, the social constructivist, postmodern, theories within gender studies and social sciences spread when I studied political science 2003-2011. I saw the "truth" be established. The craziness spread and no one dared to argue against it. But a lot of people have had enough. There will come a backlash to these absurdities. There are a small percentage which feel and see themselves as the opposite sex from as early as can be remembered. In this sense like a female born into a male body. Complicated by the small amount of intersex people such as complete androgen insensitivity syndrome. However this tiny percentage of people is not the gender choice rebellion going on in 95% of trans people.

      95% of percentages in TH-cam comments sections are pulled directly from the commentators ass. Plus there's a whole world of things we're not studying. Who knows if the amount of processed foods and other chemicals that we ingested for decades is affecting this. And while you're trying to figure this out why don't you come up with a solution for hard solipsism.

      Again, being a man or woman is not a “feeling”. It is a biological reality determined by binary (female/male) gametes. Surgeries and hormones to “transition” have been proven to damage a person’s physical and mental health long term. There is no such thing as being born in the wrong body.

      Really? You have to be joking. It's now wall-to-wall transgenderist propaganda. This has now saturated the whole of civil society. I'm sure we all know someone who has been 'cancelled', 'no platformed', or sacked from a job because of gender-critical opinions. Not to mention the countless legions who shut their gobs and hold their silence for fear of losing their livelihoods and/or reputations. But this is not as bad as it gets. Those who are really in the firing line are vulnerable adolescents, who find puberty challenging and develop mental health issues, or who are autistic. These are the young people who, getting no real help, are deftly 'pushed' into surgery and/or cross-sex hormones by so-called 'professionals' who should know better. I had anorexia nervosa at the age of 15. Yes, it was a protest against the constraints of femininity, but that did not make me any less a (young) woman. It was 1963 at the time of second-wave feminism. Fortunately for me I was not born fifty or sixty years later. Had that been the case I would have had a good chance of being mastectomised, and my body injected with testosterone, perhaps with the 'advice' that I should complete my 'transition' with surgery to construct a penis.
      I can only be grateful for my good fortune in being born at the time I was.

    I don't really understand why these guys are so angry about this. Like why should we care about the gender people identify with in the same way we don't care which sex a man or woman sleeps with. Also, as a scientist, when was the last time you judged someone based on their chromosomes? We just go on how people present. There are far bigger issues in the world. Disappointed that Dawkins has lost sight of his roots.

      In most situations we don't need to care, but in some like women's safe spaces, and women's sports, it is unfair and has dangers to not acknowledge biological sex exists. Dawkins was friends with Jan Morris before most of his ignorant haters were born, he does NOT hate trans people, he has a intelligent nuanced view on the issue, supporting tolerance, within the confines, of accepting biological sex exists, not a puritan idealogical zealotry, of putting trans rights extremism above every human experience. The overbearing bullying arrogant aggressive mansplaining impervious macho nature of most extreme trans rights activists is indicative of sex differences, and why we need some recognition in laws and safeguarding that biological women exist, it's just glaring reality. Like me I can tell which people are men and which are women, evolution made that useful adaption for us. Love to all, ❤❤

    Probably because you never lived outside your bubble, there always has been people who are what now are called transgender, it’s just that earlier their parents and community either shunned or killed them due to religion. Also it’s ironically due to religion that we have these binary rules and men growing their hair long and women wearing trousers already rejected the binary without using those words. How people define themselves is a direct consequence of our societal rules and what religious doctrine has caused. Side note, there are no words you can’t say, they only have consequences. The ruling class had laws making black people (and women) property and people in the lgbtq+ community were legally tortured and jailed for their orientation and we’ve made a (very small) acknowledgment of it.

      According to you, men who happen to grow long hair and paint nails and women having short hair and wearing shorts are so "rare" and "unheard of" that they need a special word? Metrosexual wasn't a thing, androgynous wasn't a thing, gender non-conforming wasn't a thing? Het men and women who do these things are actually queer and "trans in denial" ?
      As a woman from a non-western, homophobic country and not straight herself, your TQ+ folk has to touch some grass, that thinking is sexist as hell.
      There's more visibility to trans people, but I hardly doubt mentally sane trans folk would pressure lesbians to sleep with them or make up xer/xir/ e.t.c. pronouns

      @@limyrob1383 actually I didn’t say “black people and women” and though the form I used was for brevity without nuance, I wasn’t conflating the two groups. You would have a better argument if you pointed out that some „white“ groups such as the Irish were also treated as property by the ruling class but perhaps you had reasons. Also, America will likely attempt to make women (and other parts of the population 😉) legally property again if the religion industry succeeds in their Project 2025 plans

For him, and other people to actually pretend that he *_really_* is a woman is quite another, unacceptable delusion.
