I own 52 SoR now for more than a year and I absolutely love it! However, I encourage people to make your own routine with this trick, not copying Shin's routine. For example, I don't use BA, SSS... however I'm proud of what I came up with.

This sounds like a ton of value! I’m not really big on making gaffs, but I can say that, having seen Shin Lim explain how to make other gaffs in one of his lectures and I can say that he explains the construction of gaffs exceptionally well.

Great review thanks for that - I was wondering if some effects could be done close up - I.E disappearing ace to queen's and appearing deck of cards and then production of 4 coins and so on but really they are meant for stage!? and from what you said you must have a table - so I assume he'll teach you how to construct your own gimmicked mat in the DVD?
You mentioned a template to make and cut card gimmicks where do you purchase this? Thanks I love your honest reviews

how many mandolin backs should i buy to perform shin lims fool us ruthine?
I bought 52 Shades last year. Fortunately I love arts and crafts. It does take a lot of skill. Spent about 100 tries or more videoing the act. Never sworn so much in my life. Easy to flash. Even when you get it perfect on video, you are forbidden to put it on social media. You can create your own act with the gimmicks cards, but must be a lot different than 52 Shades act. That being said, Shin Limm is the first magician to spark my interest n magic for 40 years! Well worth the money for me.

I bought this last year and it was amazing! I agree on everything you said in this review! Arts and crafts are very intricate and requires patience is the main negative and the overall environment being controlled is a negative as well. However, this entire trick is worth the money!

This a great routine, I bought it and think I did the actual 52 shades of red routine like twice, then ended up using the gimmicks and stuff I learned from it to do my own routines.

Hey David I’m really interested in purchasing this effect but I have some questions.
How much of this is actually real-world magic? Meaning I can actually show friends and family if I have a black mat in front of me and a table?
Are there any effects that can be shown as “street magic” where I walk around and pull out a pack of cards and get to performing?
I also do magic on Omegle and Instagram so I’m assuming there are no issues as far as social media magic goes?
Please let me know if this is worth the purchase. I’m really looking for killer effects and I’ve been doing magic for like 7 years now and I love keeping up with new and stunning effects that are PRACTICAL. Not just something I’m gonna throw in my drawer after I buy it.

@@syckmagic1313 you should buy 52 shades and then decide how you want to proceed. But just be warned, this is serious stuff. Hard to do, requires a controlled environment and takes time to prepare.

I thought it would be controlled settings & not close-up card magic, to me he has taken stage illusions and applied it to cards. I do Close-up card & coin magic, but if I was to do illusions it would be something like this. I like to do magic that if you do to a large group, that you can do that same magic under their noses too.

If I would have known I had to have a masters in arts and crafts and an office supply store I wouldn't have spent these 70€. I bought the first version and sorry but it is not worth it. Must admit Shim is awesome. Congrats Shim.

To be honest I bought this a while ago and I don’t think it’s worth it because you get a deck a bit of attractive friends and some ideas on THE DARK ARTS. So in my opinion ur mostly paying for knowledge and if you want that his lecture explains it briefly

Great review 👍, Shin Lim is a great performer, not my kind of magician but nonetheless one of the greats from his generation.
The trick itself, i think it has alot of problems, i don't own it so i go on from what I've read, heavy on arts and crafts, super angle sensitive, and its 70 bucks, comes with 2 hours of material which is great but then you are learning something that you can't perform without permission from Shin Lim?? Is that right?? So you release a product that the costumer gonna spend more money in materials to make it work and then he cant perform it??

Its a good trick. But the only problem is you can't perform it and you have to construct the routine super differently which isnt easy because you will need shin to approve it.

Great review, although it has made me not want to spend my hard earned money on. I would much rather spend a few extra to have everything already made for you. I am not the best at arts and crafts which has caused me to waste money when a trick has arrived and I haven't been able to make the gimmick.
