Thanks… we do keep talking about starting some pacific/far east armies and battles, the new rules release might be a good time to start some new armies ! 👍🏻
In spite of the one-sided nature of the affair, really enjoyed this one. With a large Soviet and early German army, we've played out several scenarios from the Warlord Stalingrad book and frankly they more times than not don't play out like history. Your scenarios have been playing out well. I'd like to see you do some invasion of France with early blitzkrieg tactics.
Thanks 👍🏻 yes these are playing out similar to history but with another fair few battles to go we will be playing to Stalingrad and then but to Berlin… so lots of decent terrain to build and paint 😂 I would love to do the invasion of France and also operation Sea lion… but that’ll have to be for another time, but definitely on our radar 👍🏻 Thanks again and glad you enjoyed it.
Thanks and welcome to the group… if your up for it Stalingrad might be a doubles match for the city, Pavlov’s house and factory all included. First we need to cross the river Don, then outskirts, then into the city!
The fighting around Kotluban, northwest of Stalingrad, is also fertile ground for great battle scenarios in more open country, but your going to have to buy and make/paint some Soviet T-60 light tanks for such 1942 battles around the city. The German 16th Pz. Div. will thank you because they're easier to fight than T-34/76s and KV-1Ss! Cheers, gents.
Ouch! Super brutal for the Soviets there haha. Somerville somehow shrugged off a shot from the 88 was great though! Looking forward to more. Cheers guys! 👍
Highlight for me was Sommerville taking an 88 to the face and brushing it off like it was nothing. Nice to see more Patreons supporting the channel. Keep up the great work guys!
Okay, I'm confused. Given that your game series is entitled "Campaign Operation Barbarossa", why then didn't you do the First Battle of Karkov which actually occurred during Operation Barbarossa rather than this second battle which happened months after Operation Barbarossa had come to an end? That being said, the game was a visual treat and you both seemed to have fun presiding over the slaughter of the poor elements of the Red Army who were consumed in this holocaust of fire. The mini's were lovely, the tanks and other vehicles far too clean and the fieldworks looked very good indeed as well. So aside from being baffled I thoroughly enjoyed this video battle report while shedding a silent tear or two for the Soviet PBI who were mowed down so completely. Thank you for for taking the time and making the effort to research, play and share your game with us. Your work in the hobby is much appreciated. Huzzah! Huzzah! Cheers and good gaming! Rod.
Thank you, the campaign is actually going to go to Stalingrad… then all the way back to Berlin… so we know its not really Barbarossa as the war progresses, but we are having it as a campaign name to represent the initial campaign. We will struggle to get all the battles in so are selecting some key battles, but will be heading to Stalingrad within the next couple of battles. We are already planning Berlin as I want to have the Reichstag and some cool city scenes for the final battle! Maybe we should have called it Ostfront! 🧐
Thanks the board and figures belong to Michael, those figures are Hiwis who were recruited from lesser nations to fight alongside the Germans. These are conversations from winter germans to make inexperienced troops for the front. Thanks again and glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻
Love the Russian convoy at the start. Looks fantastic. Also you should do battle that took place in the pacific

Once again a fantastic battle rep. Board top quality models outstanding.
Thank you, glad you enjoyed it, we did… and thanks to Michael for the figures and set up 👍🏻

Really shows all the hard work/prep that goes into these!
Thank you, Michaels armies for Eastern Front are amazing, both in size and the paint job.
Thanks for the feedback and positive comments 👍🏻
I WAS THERE! Thanks for having me Michael and MoM! What a fun, thematic game and another great installment to the series. Can't wait for Stalingrad

We are discussing the next battle before we head to Stalingrad…
…thanks for the pointers, we will look at what that looks like for a battle 👍🏻
Excellent battle as always chaps!
Thank you, it’s always good to have positive feedback.
Glad you enjoyed it 👍🏻

Another Brilliant Game!!! Starting a sympathy support group for the Soviets at this rate 😂
Lol, I know… but it does fit with history… not sure how long the German army can keep winning, especially towards the end of Stalingrad.
Awesome miniatures and amazing table/board! So cool. What are the figures at 5:25 ?

@@theministryofminiatures Ahh ok. I looked up Hee Wees and all I got was Pee Wee Herman 😂
@dwelleratthedowns1974 that made me laugh! That’s probably a whole different story to read!
