      I seriously doubt that. All 4 legged animals & fish & birds have natural enemies. Man has none. Not enough ways that humans die. Humans doctors r always finding ways to concer diseases. Diseases r there to keep the population DOWN. Duh! Humans r so full of ego to their ultimate demise.

      The secret is for humans to put the lid on reproducing. Very simple! Never mind what the Bible says. It was written by a human. Humans have egos. Ego more often than not get u in trouble. I have been married 5 times with 0 kids. It CAN b done by others also. All humans that have babies out of wedlock get taken away & killed. This will put a stop on something. Try it there is nothing to lose. Humans r NOT endependenceable, after all humans r just another animal. What do u think we r. We r not vegetable, we've not minerals. That leaves animals. Give up our ego & we r just the same. Another animal!!!

    16:34. The Rudraprayag leopard mentioned here was nothing compared to the Pana leopard and the Champawat tigress, both also man eaters that Corbett dispatched among many others. The Champawat tigress is actually still Guiness record for most human fatalities ever caused by any animal on land. The Rudraprayag leopard was famous because the Media made a deal about it. Even Corbett explained it in one of his books. Also, Corbett hunted those man eaters on foot, no forwarding on elefants or with other ppl. He argued that he felt safer having to care only about himself. He will always be the greatest. RIP.

      @twinkletwinkle4129 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Alex Cruz Rudraprayag leopard killed way more people, most of them were not reported. Also in official report there was only people whom remains were found. Lots of victims bodies were never found. And they never ended up in reports. I am reading Corbett’s book right now and there’s no mention media made a big deal about it and that’s the reason Rudraprayag leopard became “famous” :)
      Have a nice day.

    • @AlexCruz-wc1yo
      @AlexCruz-wc1yo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@twinkletwinkle4129 Not true. Look for Corbett's comment about the topic. He explains why the media, for financial reasons, covered the Rudraprayag muuuch more. Pilgrims were not hitting the roads out of fear. Temples were getting hurt.

    • @AlexCruz-wc1yo
      @AlexCruz-wc1yo 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@twinkletwinkle4129 No. Actually the Panar man eater was hunted down way before than the Rudraprayarg one. Chronologically, the Panar Man eater was only # 3 in Corbett's man eater career. 1) Champawatt tiger. 2) Muktesar man eater. 3) Panar leopard. So, if that logic is to be followed then by the time he hunted The Rudraprayag leopard the government body count was actually more accurate than in these prior cases. The absence of India goverment records of man eater killings was prior to 1905 and the Panar leopard he killed in 1901 while the Rudraparg leopard wasn't killed until 1918. I think the mention of the fixation on the Rudraprayag leopard by the press is somewhere in The Temple Tiger book or Man Eaters of Kumaon book. Don't remember exactly, been too many years. But keep reading, you will find it.

    I wonder about the catch and release program. These animals don't just "live out there anywhere in the woods". They have territories and boundaries. If you move them you put them into an already occupied area so it is likely that they will return to where they came from unless they can drive out the present occupier, which will itself move to another area.
    I could understand the hesitancy of that cat being realeased into a strange territory. It's like you becoming a trouble to your wife so she has you released into someone elses already occupied house without their permission.

    • @metalmamasue3680
      @metalmamasue3680 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Exactly right. Or it's like dropping a child off in a strange place and expecting them to know who lives where and what game is where. Relocations aren't generally that successful.
      I wouldn't want someone to drop me off somewhere unfamiliar.
      Humans and animals must find ways to coexist.
      Our ancestors did it for a long time.
      Sometimes humans win and sometimes animals do.
      That said, my heart breaks for anyone who loses a child for any reason.
      Governments could do a lot more for their own people instead of making themselves extremely wealthy at our expense.
      A good portion of India doesn't even have modern plumbing and electricity. Shameful.

    The people commenting about the poor leopards need a reality check… killing maneating tigers and maneating leopards actually INCREASES the odds of successful conservation, as most leopards and tigers are not man eaters. When we let the man eaters live, we increase unnecessary hunting and hostility between humans and the big cats. When we take care of man eaters swiftly, the relations between the wildlife and people remains healthier.

      @metalmamasue3680 8 วันที่ผ่านมา

      No one sane would argue that a man eater should be saved over humans. Man eaters are very rare and must be stopped.
      But there have to be wild places set aside for animals. We can't just hog the planet for ourselves, take away the resources and land, and not expect animals to do what they have to in order to survive.
      They will prey on livestock, or even humans if they don't have natural spaces and prey to thrive on.
      And no I'm not saying it's ok for them to prey on humans. I'm just saying it's inevitable in these circumstances where they're being crowded out of their own habitat.
      It's not their fault some places are very, very crowded and overpopulated.
      Education about why people shouldn't have such large families, especially living in poverty is important.
      There's a finite amount of space in places like India and if animals and humans are to coexist, there have to be adequate places for both.
      As of Jan 2025, there are almost 1.5 billion people living there. It's the most populated country on earth. In some places, there's 1,275 ppl per square mile.
      That's just not sustainable.
      For comparison purposes, there's less than 350 million in the US which is around 3 times larger.
      The bottom line is, we have to have open, honest discussions about how to balance the needs of humans while preserving wild spaces and resources for wildlife.
      Most people would agree that a planet without wildlife would be awful and lead to our own demise.
      We need to balance our needs and theirs.
      I don't want to live on a planet without animals.

    Such a sad situation. Medium and large predators often have large territories and can travel vast distances. Shoving more and more of them into increasingly smaller areas also causes competition for food and territory. Jane Goodall once said she would wish there was some way to decrease the number of humans without harm or pain. I agree with her. Humans are taking more and more space for both living and farming, and it pushes animals of all kinds into tight spaces and leads to disaster for both humans and wildlife.

Just like with the lions and the white sharks that are chips, as an example the alarm will go off when a great white is 1000 yards from the beach. They can set the alarm at any distance once an animal is chipped. Also I think an electric fence would work quite nicely on keeping the Tigers away from fields and peoples houses. Electric fences can be put out quite quickly and are very reasonable. It cost us, my husband and I to put 4 strands of electric fence around 5 acres of land for our horses add a cost of about $250. That is New Jersey prices which are quite high because we are in the New York area. If an animal gets zapped by an electric fence they will not go near it again. Tigers, lions, great white sharks and a number of other animals see in color so if they paint the polls the electric fences on once zapped they will stay far away from it. They are having a lot of success with it on beaches from Massachusetts all the way down to North Carolina for the great white sharks. Also in parts of Africa where they have trouble with hyenas killing their livestock and attacking people they started using electric fence with colored poles and that seems to be very effective.

    So Awesome!!! Great information and probably the best documentary I have seen on you tube this far. I still have a profound love and respect for the leopard. There's a reason why it's called the prince of stealth. India suffers a population explosion. India adds an entire population of Australia every year to its census. It's no surprise that encroachment into wildlife habitats has lead to animals and humans conflict. People have entered into their domain and then blame the poor animals for the fatalities. Humans and leopards are both opportunistic predators unfortunately man has the gift of language which can justify his actions against the animals. How can this be a fair deal. The wild life is only reacting towards our actions. If we stop taking away their homes they will stay out of ours. There's enough for everyone's need but there's isn't enough for each one's greed. Nature is telling us to back off but we aren't listening .wildlife clashes is inevitable when the balance of life is tipped off. With a population of 1.4billion people and still growing efforts should be made to control human population and not leopard population. Sterilisation should be made for people mandatory just as you would to an animal .Now that's a fair deal to combat this issue at hand. OR else maneaters should be allowed to do their job of population control. Why should always someone else pay a price for our mistakes?

      There is no such thing as invading territory or designated area for ourselves or animals. Like borders between countries, a designated area is a human creation. In nature, we all can settle anywhere we want. The same is true with the big cats. If there are conflicts, the fittest survive. This has been the case for as long as there are animals. Now, you may say that we are way overpopulated and this is due to poor leadership with no family planning education. But most of the people from this video are in dire poverty. Struggling to survive is their primary goal. I don't think it is fair to criticize them for protecting themselves against ferocious predators.

    • @PriscinaSkyy
      @PriscinaSkyy 6 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      @@benthekeeshond545 No, perhaps not, but then using the very same logic, no one can criticize the leopard for doing what it needs to survive~ Sure, it may have plenty of forest to hunt behind it, but leopards (and many other predatory animals) will go for the easiest kill, if there is any available. Human children are defenceless - the easiest kill they can have. If we want the kids to be safe, then we as humans with all our technological advances should learn how to protect our lands. You can't expect to walk into a savannah or jungle and not immediately become prey. That's the animal's natural instinct. Instead of blaming it for killing our children, how about we use the advantage that only us humans have and build ourselves better protection before letting people live so close to such areas.
      Like you said, a designated area is a human creation. But we're not the only living things. We cannot just take all the land and make it ours. We ought to think of the lives we're affecting before we cut down forests and kill all the species that live in it. Also, in nature, we obviously cannot settle wherever we want? It takes time and planning for humans to settle into places that was previously occupied by forests or jungles, which was clearly not done in this case. Whomever designed this compound failed to see the faults in their design. Killing the leopards is not the way to go. We should learn to share the land we have with all the animals that exist as well.

Many countries are limiting Indians from immigrating to their country. Some won't allow it, it's the developers fault, the governments fault, and the people should have known there will be wild animals like tigers leopards and wild dogs roaming around if they see deer animals of prey are not far away. Go to Madhya Pradesh, plenty of wild life sanctuaries there.
      Saw leopard many times and tiger 4 times in Madhav national park, we were lucky to see the Legendary White tiger couple in captivity. Kanha is also great place and so is satpura, panna and Nauradehi and bandhavgarh. Try it.

      Well you should try speaking Hindi, Punjabi, Urdu, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Malayalam, or any Indian Languages. You would then know that the way Indian languages are articulated is different than the stiff as hell English. They probably know atleast 4 or 5 other languages too, so please, learn to understand.

    I want to state my opinion but I don't know the family's living situation 😕 of coarse my first question is why were they sleeping outside but maybe they had no choice 🤔 I would feel so guilty and heart broken knowing I was holding my child before it was snayched my a hungry leopard so 😔 sad

      You'd be sleeping outside if you knew how hot it can be at night in India. Very very hot. As you can see air conditioning is not an option.

      ☆ *To all the ones that are saying stop killing these beautiful animals, stop taking over THEIR territory and maybe they will stop killing people in the middle of the night excetera excetera *☆ 《》♤* 1st of all, no single person or neighborhood can control an entire state or countries population of human beings!! yes I understand education is key and providing methods of contraception and other forms of birth control and all of that but you're saying it like it's so easy to do or not to do so please just STFU!!!!!!* ♤ THIS is what I say to you!! ◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇••◇•◇•◇
      It's too little too late for this community. UNTIL THE PREDATOR COMES INTO YOUR HOME AND SNATCHES YOUR NEWBORN BABY OUT OF YOUR ARMS IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT AND EATS HIM OR HER AS A MIDNIGHT SNACK YOU MIGHT FEEL A LITTLE DIFFERENTLY!!! BUT UNTIL THEN , I WOULD SAY KILL THE MOTHERFUKERS! HUMAN LIFE FIRST, &ALWAYS ABOVE ALL •◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•◇•

      Seeing video of those dead leopards gave me so much pleasure knowing that the killer / murderer others newborn infants that were smashed up in the middle of the night has received somewhat of a Justice for their deaths the f****** Cat Knows the difference between a human and another animal it ain't like a deer can pick up a shotgun and split it Swig open only humans can do that so with them going to close to people's houses and walking straight in or breaking in and ripping families apart literally limb by limb to where you have hands toes hugs eyeballs teeth ears land about all over the place in your home four more devastating than killing a single f****** leopard sorry but I said Kill Em All at this point you've got to protect humans first and above all

    What a heart ache. But come on, people moved into the cats area. Maybe the people should stop breeding. Get a control. These animals are losing fast. However, those housing complexes don't belong there. Always about the money not the people.

      Well thanx for your mercies for the animals. Even I am an animal lover. Even today (I m 31) I turn on Discovery, Animal Planet and Nat Geo wild first, since wild life were my childhood fantasies.
      But I value human life more than a wild animal. True, in India today we have barggled into their area, but even in olden times, I had heard from my dad and grandpa of leopard, tiger and elephant attacks in the villages. Means, these animals have always preyed on us.
