- HARRY THE HAMMER arrives in Total War Warhammer 3 Immortal Empires as part of the Skulls for the Skull Throne event, as Harald Hammerstorm the new Legendary Hero FLC joins the Warriors of Chaos for battle. His aura also stops all healing the Vampires can bring. Invocation of Nehek, Reliquary Binding, and Master of the Dead all require the target to have the Undead trait.

This is why CA including legendary heroes in the game is good. They get to add flavorful characters who do not fit in as lords but can add immense variety to a roster.
Honestly I was always a fan of the change over to flh instead of flc. We don’t need more map clutter, we need more flavor.
Except Harald Hammerstorm is a valid option for a Legendary Lord
I remember fans discussing Harald Hammerstorm as a strong contender as LL for Warriors of Chaos because everyone assumed CA would go for a Chaos Undivided route before Champions of Chaos proved everyone wrong and brought monogod characters into WoC. And unlike other LH, Harald makes a lot more sense since he actually leads an army in the lore.

This hero is actually legendary. Holy shit, I haven't laughed this hard because of Warhammer for a long time. He's actually very useful without being particularly op, I love it.
I really like one of his path of chaos in the campaign. Whenever you defeat Karl Franz, Harry unlocks the buff "There can be only one hammer"

A wonderful addition, I love when classic but smol ( smol in terms of other big names on the lore) are added in. will be good hammer times for sure.

I like him he’s basically the felix and gotrik Fan Favorit for the chaos side. As basically an inside joke I couldn’t see him as a LL but not including him would have been a shame.
Also isn’t he the only LH for the chaos side right now ? Having a universal LH was needed for them

I just got Hammerstorm in my campaign as Festus and went East towards Sylvania-after doing a drive-by hammerin' on Karl for that sweet sweet Chaos Boon- and put him through a few tests.
The amount of damage and ruin he causes among Undead factions is something else, is all I'm gonna say. His presence alone unmakes the greatest strengths of the Counts: Unbreakable chaff and healing. He just walks in and says "No".
I absolutely love him.
Krell as a LH would have been a good counter to him since he is undead and also a former Khorne champion.
I have a feeling he will become a hero when nagash comes so he can be one of his mortarchs

Bro the artwork at the left side in the beginning killed me. It's like good ol Harry just nudge a skeleton's head and it vaporized upon contact and the skeleton itself just screamed in place not even trying to avoid it.

I’ve moaned about the sorry state of Bretonnia for years, many times on this channel. Suffice to say I at least am most pleased.
@@rellek4053 This won't change a thing tho? if you actually go and look at the stats you can see that it hardly changes anything. It replaces the expendable trait with a traitthat's going to do the EXACT same shit as before, just with a different name. and even after the leadership ''buffs'' to peasants when being near knights, its only like 2-3 extra leadership and that's only when being near knights which will be annoying to micro. Brettonia will play the exact same way as before. It's argueably more of a nerf than a buff lmao.

Maybe the concept of abilities which only target Undead and/or Daemons could be implemented for other factions? It sounds like a good way to differentiate priest characters from wizards or generic melee fighters.
This is honestly a great idea, especially given the fact that the undead are pretty powerful right now
This is essencialy how lore of Light used to be back in Game 1. It only dealt damage to Chaos and Undead. Then they changed it to be more playable.
@@MaledictGaming No, that is not true. The damage of its spells were equally effective against various targets(undead or living).
Lore of Light had a passive that only worked against Undead, lowering their leadership for several seconds when you cast a spell(which could lead to crumbling).
It was deemed too situational, and now it instead increases leadership of allies as well as giving them ITP for a few seconds when casting spells.
@@fendelphi Seems I remember it wrong than. I was sure the big Banishement spell was supposed to only work on Chaos/Undead units. Therefore it was supposed to be like the single Vortex spell that would do no friendly-fire damage.
Admitedly I bought the game way after it got released, so I drew this conclusion from some youtube video I saw back than.

Funny to add a LH for WoC but forgetting they had to update tech trees for Valkia, Villitch, Festus and Azazel to let them finally upgrade their exalted daemons like intended.
Edit : Actually Valkia's tech tree was updated but not the other 3.

On Turins stream, we saw Harry's explosion take a unit of Quarrellers or Rangers, I can't remember which, to half health, so not useless.
God, I know this is a long shot, but I hope they added this anti-undead guy because they are adding Nagash soon >, < I want the bone daddy. This guy is pretty unexpected, but is for sure an epic direct counter to undead.
Sadly, i don't think he is ever going to appear, as he just is too powerful. He invented a Magic Lore. Not even Slaan have achieved this. No, Nagash is and will stay (disregarding that aweful end times bit) a background character.
Nagash is not too powerful to be a legendary lord. He is not more powerful than Kroak or Mazdamundi, and in a game with those characters and Archaon and tons of others, if CA want to do Nagash, they can and will. The 100th legendary lord will be either him or Thanquol I believe. Yes he became absurdly strong in the End Times, consumed a God of the dead and a bunch of other stuff, but lots of characters (including Kroak and Mazda who stopped a MOON from destroying the planet with their minds) have been dialed back substantially from their lore capabilities, and CA can ignore ET narrative elements anyway. Gameplay > Lore, there are lots of ways to make Nagash fit in the trilogy

Hope CA nails it, but seeing how they did with our hammer friend here, they can.
I think the bigger issue with including Nagash is how he is connected with other characters. His core identity is the creator of Necromancy, the Bane of Nehekara which led to the Tomb Kings, his books used to create the first Vampires, and has several LL as followers. Then we have various mechanics from factions that focus on gathering/burning his books.
It would be difficult to add him as an actual LL, without kind of nerfing his importance and relations with other characters to a fairly large degree.
Kind of similar to if you added Sigmar as a Legendary Lord.
Then there is the faction itself. Would it be similar to Arkhan the Black, with a mix of Tomb Kings and Vampire Count units? What exactly would be unique about it? What would be his purpose?
And why would he be present(revived or what ever) from the start of the campaign?
I think it would be much more likely to get Neferata.
Neferata hasn't been added yet, has she? I believe she has been strongly hinted.

In other words, I'd love to see more "og" characters, not just for Chaos (though I do want plenty of those such as Mordrek, Arbaal, Engrimm) but for ALL factions. As there have been some greats through the years that were left behind.

Tbh I think he should have been a legendary lord - he's the OG, and while he didn't have the most fleshed out lore, he was still a chaos lord in his own right, not a mere champion

The animations aren't new. They are the same as the WH1. They just put a new VFX over the bunny jump attack.

Kind of a bummer to see him reusing the WH 1 animation set, and not having a unique one. The latter Warhammer 2 FLC/DlC named and generic characters all had unique animations. So it's kind of sad that a Legendary Hero shares the generic Exalted Hero animations.
Is he only for WoC and not Khorne as well? Isn't he a Khorne WoC?
Harry doesn't have allegiance to any Chaos faction. He actually fits more into mostly undivided WoC roster than Khorne..
