I'm not so sure. Jeran's web site showing the ship's speed in 'mph' "miles per hour". Ships do often work with nautical miles, but then it would show speed in 'knots', the customary units for 'nautical miles per hour' versus 'mph' for 'statue miles per hour.'. It doesn't really change the outcome, but I think that site was showing 'mph' as converted.

Sabine Hossenfelder has the best flat earth response in my opinion. Without addressing any of the arguments directly she essentially said that among the particular flat earthers that insist they are operating on purely empirical, scientific observations, their claim that the science that proves a globe is not personally verifiable by them directly....there is an intentional cognitive dissonance in ignoring any actual evidence gathered by other people, that refutes their claims. Sabine's excellent analysis concluded thusly: "Flat Earthers will eventually figure out the earth is round. It just might take 1,000 years for them to re-invent modern science to their satisfaction."

My great grandfather was a merchant sailor and later a ships captain. I never met him, but I have read his accounts of sailing cargo from England to Australia and the navigational challenges they faced. He would leave England, sail south then head east, past the Cape of Good Hope, across the Indian Ocean to arrive in South Australia. Then after departing, continue east, across the pacific, past Cape Horn and then turn north for a run up the Atlantic and back home to England. But I guess it was all lies, made up stories to trick us into thinking the earth is a globe. Damn, I never thought my own ancestor would be such a diabolical manipulator.

I've also flown from New Zealand to Europe and back multiple times. This is doubly damning for flerfs. If the earth really was flat then all measurements of the positions of places ever made were made on a flat earth. But that's a distraction: the main point is that, where they can (such as not having to avoid restricted air space), they fly great circle routes, and direct flights exist between cities in different parts of the southern hemisphere. Those flights travel the distances corresponding to the true, known locations of those cities, in times consistent with the true, known speeds at which the aircraft can fly, without the aid of ultra high speed winds blowing in both directions simultaneously. Likewise ships travel known routes in known times, and some even race around the world, circumnavigating Antarctica without ever once having to steer in any direction, or cover any distance, or travel at any speed, other than those consistent with a globe.

I believe that the only reason that he keeps on posting flat earth nonsense is because his livelihood depends on it.
