Hi. I have a 2013 C300 and no sound issue. This video was spot on with the low cost part working great. I thought there might be some reduced functionality like Bluetooth not working, but that is not the case. Everything audio seems to be working fine. The Media Interface Unit connector was slightly different than the one in this video. It basically disassembled with the same blue push-out locking mechanism and allowed the point-to-point optic mating with no problem. Just to add, to remove the glove box, there are 4 screws inside the box on the top. There is also a need to remove the dash side panel which is exposed with the door open. It just pops off and snaps back into place. That allows you to see the one screw near the door that has to come out from the bottom. The last screw is on the bottom close to the center console. All the screw heads are T15
I’m having the same problem right now. I bought the part in the dealer and when I took a part the glove box compartment I didn’t have that module there. My car is a c63 2009. It may be in a different place.
@@BrightBoutte Yes! I ordered the same part number from ebay and followed the video EXACTLY. My C-250 had the media interface unit in the exact same place with the same connections. I now have sound and even the Logic 7 surround-sound function still works as well as my phone via Bluetooth.
Thanks for the great video! I had the same problem and your video walked me through it perfectly. The sound is back now! Fault D017 MOST communication has a malfunction (MOST master reporting ring break).

Hi Harris, to fix the problem with your video, buy the $3.75 connector and fix it. Thank you so much for sharing.

Yes, it can be. But as other other modules that cost the same problem. You have to get it tested and see which one is bad.
Hey I have the same car, same issue, what was the issue?
Does this work on the 2013 model c250?
I can’t remember the type of sound system that they have. But I would think it should.
Did it work I have the same problem
Does this method work on the 2015 model
It shud
Did you ever find out ? Mine went out to
Can someone put a link on where I can get the part
Dealer item. Just call them with the part number
Does this still allow bluetooth to work? That's literally the only thing I care about lol
Well you can’t do the bypass and expect your Bluetooth to work. All your modules have to be up and running.
@@goharrisautomotive so my choice is replacing it?
My Bluetooth is working! I had absolutely no sound from anything (including Bluetooth) until I followed this video. I have a 2014 Mercedes C-250.
@@SignsFromHeavenhow did you get it to work did you use this method ?
