- A couple years after Lance Bass went off to reach fame with N*Sync, he recommended his former high school and fellow show choir classmate Mandy Ashford to Lou Perlman for a new girl group he was forming called Innosense.
This video was filmed at the Attaché Spring Revue in May 1998 at Mandy Ashford's old high school in Clinton, MS and is one of their earliest live performances. Their first single would be released in Europe later that summer.
After watching this performance I’m mad they didn’t have the proper management to truly push their project
Yesss this song is a bop even for now..seems like by the time Britney joined they had switched sounds to more of a bubblegum pop direction but this “right here waiting “ track is 🔥🔥🔥
Truth is that their voice is better at all than Spice Gurls
According to Niki, britney spears was in the group but she never got to rehearse or anything with them. She said that Lou Pearlman got a phone call from Larry Rudolph who he was friends with. Larry rudolph had spoken to a record label saying they wanted to try out and do something again like they did with debbie gibson so they needed a 15 year old. Lou pearlman picked out britney and gave her to larry rudolph and then the rest is history. Innosense also has a connection to Christina Aguilera because when Genie in A Bottle was done Christinas label, Innosense, & Paula Abdul wanted the song. Ultimately the writers decided to go with Christina, ultimately they made the right choice.
Right Here Waiting sounds like an unreleased song from them because I honestly don’t know if they sample this song from anyone but dang that song sounds sooo good but honestly their performance was not all great they honestly had potential but failed sadly.
Wow , I used to love innocence.
same here my man.
Facts!!!!
I wonder if anyone knows that the woman on stage is Justin Timberlake's mom
Which one
1:28 black shirt/white baggy pants far right (stage left) CURLY hair
Also 1:46
Thanks for sharing this!!!
I wish they would’ve kept the urban r&b pop sound instead of going straight bubblegum pop! It would’ve made them really stand out
Amanda Latona...That's my girl.
I met her and Steve at the Olympia a few years ago. Shocked to learn she was a girl band
I like the first song but it sounds kind of dated for 1998, it sounds more like something that would have been popular around 1992
Real Good Man is the best of the 3 songs they performed, it's the one they had the most fun with, they were jamming so hard. Overall, their performance wasn't as polished as even the boy bands from TransCon. If u compare this to the performances BSB and NSYNC did in their beginning stages, it's very sloppy. It's an example of Pearlman not giving a damn about them
Wowwww real good man was my top fave,it had the most urban appeal to me back then
So wheres Britney spears 🤔
2:42 the title of this music if possible
how much wud you pay for it?
Right Here Waiting. The beginning was Return to Innocence by Enigma, next one Sexy Body Gal by Shaggy then the girls' song Right Here Waiting
I think it's called Right here waiting.
I’d pay a lot for a proper version of this song
Y pensar que britney casi entra a este grupo :0
Nikki deloach came out of this just fine!😅
Knowing what we know now hahaha.
Britney Spears dodged a bullet. Thank God, she didn't do it.
She was forced to entertain for years under a coservaship because she became famous so no didn't dodge a bullet at all.
@@socialside5332 she still became rich and famous. So boo hoo
@@suburbcinderella Her parents were stealing her money from when she was atleast sixteen to now.
@@socialside5332 as of 1 week ago she's worth 80 million. Her new song with Elton John went to number 1 all over the world. She no longer has to give her money to her family. She is free and is still a millionaire
@@socialside5332 she dodged the bullet & then got stabbed with a knife
Man, that kinda sucked
